YEAH! My favorite day of the week-Saturday is here! Time to celebrate with a Sketch 😀
I just LOVE that sentiment from Its My Birthday! Isn’t that the truth? When you are a kid, that is just the BEST part about turning another year older. Lots of presents!! When you get older, all you want is to not have the age on your driver’s license go past a certain number.
I did this card last month, but failed to post it here. I wanted it to be a sketch, then I forgot about it, and well you know the story. No matter its here now!!
I hope you enjoy! I am sure NO ONE is even out there reading with the holiday weekend! I almost didn’t post! But I couldn’t let the sketch day pass. Its my OCD!
So celebrate! Please take the time to share something you should be celebrating or grateful for. I am thankful to all the men/women out there serving our country!! Fighting to keep us safe, and defend our freedom Then to the families who are sacrificing their time with them so they can do that for us. I also pray for each one’s SAFE return home-SOON!!!
I also know after this week I am just so thankful for the HEALTH of my family and children. I really don’t know what I would do without them. I am one blessed person.
I have a super full weekend, that I am looking forward to. Hope you all stay healthy, happy & safe!
Till tomorrow.

Hi Lauren,
Cute card. I hope to create a sketch with this sometime soon. lol
I am thankful for so many things. My Faith. My son & husband. And my friends….
Sometimes it is good to list all the little things… because they really do add up!
I’m also thankful for your help of late.
And for margaritas.
Hugs and have a great weekend.

I’m reading , Lauren! Thanks for posting this cute card! I love the colors and you always do such a great job of coloring!
I am so thankful for my four healthy kids, my super patient hubby and my room full of stamps!
Awesome sketch, and your card ROCKS!
Lauren, as always a gorgeous card. Hope I can find time to try the sketch.
I am thankful for my family, especially my son.
I’m a faithful reader, Lauren! If I’m near a computer, I read! So happy Alexa is ok, you are feeling better, the trip was great, and you had the time and energy to upload a sketch for us! Of course I am thankful for family, friends, health and happiness. But also sunshine and flowers… and the fact that good things always come after the bad!- babies-
I’m here! I’m here! Couldn’t miss checking in on the sketch! 🙂 I, too, am thankful for all the men and women who are fighting for us and our country, and their families that they are away from. I am also thankful for a President who is a man of faith and makes it known. I’m thankful for my faith, family, friends and health. And I’m thankful that you made me take the time to pause and think about it!
The sketch is awesome and your card rocks!
Hope you have a fun, safe, happy holiday weekend! Hugs…
This is such a cute card. I may have to give it a whirl later.
I, too am grateful for how well Miss Alexa is doing. I am thankful for the safe return of “The Major” Sneden and pray that all of our troops return safely to their loved ones very soon.
I am thankful for how the Lord has helped me through this past year. He has carried me through all the days and nights after loosing Rodney. There is still lots of heartache, but there are also good times.
I am thankful for you and all of the PSF’s. You girls are always there for me. Thank you.
I am reading your blog, not only is it my b’day but falls on Memorial Day weekend (doesn’t do that often). Will celebrate later with my DH who is a veteran. Ordered me more copics and going back to the LSS for something I saw the other day.
I’m thankful for health (yours, Alexa’s, mine, ours) and happiness and friendship (real or pretend) and God’s grace.
Yes, there are a few of us out there probably reading…This is a super card. I love the colors and the sketch is awesome.
Ah, Lauren, I bet there will be a lot of people reading your blog. It’s raining here today and windy, so I will do some stamping! I already took a walk in the rain and then the wind came up. I am thankful that I live in America and I do remember our soldiers who have sacrificed their lives for us, and for those who are serving today. I am thankful for the health of my family.
I’m reading too Lauren. I’m thankful for Alexa’s health, all of our servicemen and women and their families, my family even though my DD is driving my nuts right now and this wonderful obsession of ours that has made me so many friends from all over the USA and Canada.
Oh don’t ever think we aren’t here, we are here!!!! 🙂 I’m thankful everything turned out ok this week with Alexa
Lauren –
I check out your blog almost every day. This is my first time trying your sketch though. I wish I could get pictures as nice as yours! Love your card and the sketch!!

Lauren, I am here. My day cannot get off to a good start without reading your blog. Love the card too – it would be perfect for my 7 and 3 year old grandsons! You are so right, it is all about the PRESENTS! As you get older it is more all about the presence – don’t you agree?

Lauren-
I’m loving visiting your blog frequently, I love your clean, crisp, and colorful style…I am grateful for something that really touched my heart this week. Several years ago I had the pleasure of having a wonderful young man in my class. He had already been battling cancer over 2 years when I met him. He had 3 major surgeries during that year alone. I had the pleasure of seeing him graduate high school this week. Because of yet another surgery, he will miss being a part of his “real” graduation so the school pulled out all the stops and had a ceremony just for him. It was complete with a limo, speeches, the entire school board, the entire senior class, and almost everyone that has been touched by this courageous young man. He had to leave the reception (following the ceremony) to head back to the hospital, but he is still holding strong (: He contains to beat all the odds and for that I”m grateful…
Hi Lauren, Of course we’re reading! So glad that everyone is doing well. I’m so thankful for a wonderful husband who helps me everyday and stands by me with my health issues. I surely have blessed with him. I’m grateful for the wonderful people I’m meeting through my new blog and visiting blogs. It nice to have friends that share a passion that I do. I hope you have a wonderful weekend and enjoy every minute of it. Love the card and great sketch. Wonderful colors! 🙂
Glad you didn’t miss the post because you thought we’d all be gone – NOT! Always look forward to your Saturday challenge. someday, I’ll actually do one and post it for you to see. I also read your review yesterday on Craft Critique. I want that book, but I’ve not been able to find it online. I’ll keep searching. thanks again for being you.
This card is full of cuteness. I love the color combinations. It so cheery!
Hi Lauren,
I’m around today. I am so addicted to your site everyday, as soon as I get up in the morning I sit with a cup-o-joe and read the post. Your kids are beautiful and they have nice smiles.
Nice B-day card, I love the colors. You are soo right, when your a kid presents are the greatest thing on earth during birthdays and christmas.
There are so many things that I am thankful for, but I am thankful for my husbands health, after three years of “I dunno knows from doctors”, and that my daughters are happy and healthy. One last thing just living one day after the next. : )
Have a wonderful weekend!: )
Deborah
Great card lauren, I alway read your blog . i am glad that I live in american and i am thankful for all our Soliders because of them we can sleep at nite and know that we are protected by our armes forces. Have a good weekend and a wonderful memorial day. susan
Believe it or not, I’ve not only been reading blogs today, but finally getting my own up and running! I LOVE your card… I have this stamp set and made a card with the same image and sentiment for my nephew recently. It IS about the presents, and why not! LOL Have a great long weekend!
Oh, this is adorable. I love the sentiment, it is so fitting for a number of people I know. I just ordered this set and can’t wait to use it. If you didn’t post, I don’t know what I’d do. I think I would worry that something is wrong with Alexa. So glad you took the time to post today. It appears that there are a number of us out here!!! Happy Memorial Day to you and yours!
I love your card Lauren! I have that set and just adore it! Okay, here’s my card using your sketch!

Love your card! It’s so cute :0) I have that set and have yet to ink it up, no time it seems. I have to say that I am thankful for all the military that we have and the way they are protecting our country. I am also thankful for the cops in our area, fire fighters, etc. The National Guard has helped a lot too. See, on Thursday, we all got up to a blustery morning and thought nothing of it. Around 11:50 am a huge, and I do mean huge, 1 mile wide at some points, tornado ripped through my town. We are in Colorado near the mountains where we don’t get tornados. It ravaged the neighborhood behind mine, over 100 homes lost, some just demolished, others with the entire second story ripped off, others with the roof just lifted. We were missed by a mere 20 yards or so! So there tops off another thing that I am thankful for – that my family still has a home! The National Guard and police forces from surrounding areas created a parimeter and didn’t allow the looky-loos in, or us for that matter, keeping everyone’s belongings safe.
This is adorable! I love your coloring, and your sketch is awesome!!
Cute sketch! I love those happy colors and your coloring!!
Hi Lauren! Loved your sketch again this Saturday & had to participate. I agree, I am also thinking of all the men & women who have served our country–I was in the Air Force and I know how those soldiers feel–I want them all to come home!! Anyway my sketch card is on my blog–hope ya like it!

What a sweet card and great sketch, Lauren!
I actually got a sketch card done! Gonna try and get it uploaded before bedtime… 🙂
My goodness, Lauren. I just read through your whole poop ordeal. I’m so glad everything “came out” okay! I’m glad you find some measure of relief in sharing your fears and worries on your blog. There’s nothing like having a whole BUNCH of people to talk to. And everyone really cares, too. You’re a brave woman and I admire you.
Now…I love everything you’ve been creating. The wedding card with the bees is pretty cool! Your thoughts on keeping a happy marriage–I so agree. I’ve had a long and happy marriage and I believe it’s largely because of the time we devote to each other. That time is also the reason I don’t stamp and blog as much as a lot of folks do. I spend my days at work and my evenings with my husband. We like it that way! Take care, Lauren. I hope your whole family stays well!
I adore the card Lauren! This set remains my favorite that Christine has done!
Adorable card and great sketch! I am thankful everyday for my healthy family and wonderful supportive husband. I am also thankful and grateful to the men and women who fight for our freedom and help to keep us safe…and that extends beyond just the military. There are so many things we all should be thankful for rather than dwell on what we do not or cannot have, and I sometimes have to remind myself-how lucky I am for what I have!
I think you cost me more money than any other stamper out there! I blame most of my purchases on you. Hubby really appreciates that! As always, thanks for the inspiration! Here’s my card: http://stampinintherain.blogspot.com/2008/05/lighthouse-sketch.html
This is such a cute card and has such a great color combo, too. Just got to your last two sketches–they were a lot of fun to do. Here’s a link to my Bella cards: http://inkingaloud.blogspot.com/2008/05/bellas-are-back.html
