My project today is made using the NEW! Com-pleatly template

Being in LOVE with the fact that all our products are designed to coordniate, designing this made it easy peasy!

Starting with the amazing  Spring Abound Digital Paper Collection I was able to quickly and easily create a coordinating get set in no time. 

Look at everything I designed to fit into my  Com-pleatly template.

I love have a variety of ways to give simple gifts that are afforable and fun. I REALLY believe it’s all about the presentation and packaging of a gift is what really gives that first and lasting impression. The littlest details are what show you REALLY care 😀 Taking the time to package up something in a nice way speaks volumes about the feeling behind the gift no matter how large, or small it may be.

Let’s get into the details of everything shall we?

The focus of the box is the paper, but then it becomes teh coordinating label.

I used a label from the Fine Finish Digital Stamp set, digitally colored to match, then cut using the Fine Finish ©Tag Cut File. The label was then  layered onto the All Tied Up! © Oval with the ribbon slots in either end. 

I was able to tie through my pretty lemon polka dot ribbon to create a fun band that slides on and off the box.

Now to the box contents…

Once again I chose to use the large box and two small box combination, as I love what you can do with it!

 First the small boxes

I felt that the Spring Abound Digital Paper Collection is pretty enough the boxes themselves didn’t need any extra bells or whistles.

Inside one box there is a set of 6 note cards (2 1/2 X 4 1/4) for almost every occasion, complete with 6 envelopes!

I made my set of 6 cards using a label from the Fine Finish Digital Stamp set, changing out the sentiments, and printing/cutting each one. I chose to use a scaled down version of the same pattern in the Spring Abound Digital Paper Collection for my note cards.

With digital images it is quick, fun, and easy to get a great assortment of cards made in very little time at all. You can SAVE the projects, and go back later to create MORE gift sets with little time at all since you already designed an amazing project the first time around.

Now in my other small box I added some Godiva White Chocolate Truffles. Chocolate is always a great option or “filler” for any gift set 😀

Now for the large box contents

Here is the large box with a set of 6 standard A 2 size cards, and envelopes. They tuck away so nicely in this box, and it makes a great presentation, and later a stunning place to store the cards until they get used.

The box in itself is a great gift on its own.

Using the SAME labels I used in my smaller cards above, I just printed and cut more of the same tags for my larger cards.

Now I have a large set of card for just about every occasion too!

I love the simple design of this card.

I used the Pretty Pattern Sketch 16 for the inspiration of the card layout. Using a sketch is always a great way to get creative and make it go quicker because most our time is spent in thought and execution of a design/layout. If you get the hardest part out of the way and commit to a layout you feel would work great, that is half the battle!

I love the label I had created using the Fine Finish Digital Stamp set, and since changing out the sentiments, and printing/cutting each one how I was able to get several cards that are all different with little work. Combining the patterns in the Spring Abound Digital Paper Collection for my note cards was fun and couldn’t have been made easier.

Be Dazzled!

I’m very excited to share this template and stamp set combination with you all!

I designed a stamp set that was designed with the jewelry maker in mind, or those who love to gift it!

The idea for this set came from a dear friend of mine Sonia, who makes and sells jewlery at Sonia Jung Designs! I have gotten many of her stunning creations from her store, and love to give them the proper presentation!

The stamp set is called Be Dazzled , and I will get to the details on that, following the template information.

The template is called For Keeps, and it offers a dual base option! So like another 2 for the price of 1!!

For Keeps Pretty Packaging Template

Available in PDF, SVG, GSD, DXF, WPC

 Completed Project Size:

5 1/4 Inches Wide

4 1/2 Inches Tall

Note: There are 2 box base options with this template. The lid features a stunning window option, which you can choose to use the window cut out, or just decorate the lid as desired.

 This Pretty Packaging was originally designed for you to package up those gifts that dazzle!

 This versatile box is sure to quickly become a favorite with its endless design options.

 The For Keeps Base 1

This base features alterable cut out options, that allow you to display your gifts of jewelry (handcrafted or store bought) such as earrings, necklaces, bracelets, anklets or even rings.

Alter the cut out options, as you see fit, to suit your gift!

The lid fits perfectly over the top of the base.

Due to the base angle, your items will fit inside perfectly.

You an display items on one, or BOTH sides of this base!

HOW FUN?!

The optional window allows you to put your gifts that dazzle, on display!

I wanted you to be able to see the printed window I created for the box window.

I designed my label on the box using the Be Dazzled Set. Once I created/layered my images, I then printed the label on my transparency sheet!!!

Yes! You can print (in color too!) on transparency sheets! I get mine at Target, and they are by Printworks.

Look how clear and crisp my image is. I will do one with full color at some point soon to show you how cool this can be!

Now onto the jewelry display…..

Here I am displaying a necklace and earring gift set.

The rest of the necklace hangs into the box base. The base open on the bottom, so you can easily manipulate everything.

The jewelry is displayed on an angled base, so that these items lay nicely against it, and really showcase the items displayed  inside! It also allows your lid to slide over the top without getting stuck! 

Now how cool it is that you can choose to design and display your gifts already packaged up, or remove the window so they can be surprised 😀 This is great for all of you out there her design/sell jewelry, especially at craft fairs! No more BORING jewelry boxes, that you already anticipate that there is jewelry in them before opening.

This is a far more fashionable, functional and FUN way to present such dazzling creations.

 You can alter the cut outs to suit your project needs as well. 

This base was altered to just hold earrings. The top is the same.

You can then use the lid with the stunning window cut out, to display your gifts beautifully

 The window cut out was designed to coordinate with the Be Dazzled Pretty Impressions Stamp Set, and Be Dazzled Pretty Pieces Cut File. See the next project for details on that!

 The For Keeps Base 2

This base is a boxed bottom, which is your 2nd base option.

This option was created for those times you want to package something IN a box base! Not everyone wants to gift jewelry, and you may just need a super fun and functional gift box, so this is it 😀

Simply put your gift inside.

In this one I designed it a little differently, as my gift will fit IN the box base, instead of being on display.

 Now the gift ideas are truly endless.

I love all flowers, and thought that this set could use a few flowers to accent the amazing set of sentiments.

I just created my tag, then colored it with my Copic Markers!

I used the same tag frame as in the transparency window project above, only on this one, I printed my floral label, adding the sentiment “For a dazzling person”, and cut it out using the Be Dazzled Pretty Pieces Cut File. The large label fits perfectly into the labels in the Be Dazzled Digital Stamp Set.

The large label has many uses, but was made to perfectly accent and decorate your boxed gifts.

The smaller tag (not shown here today) was made for you to label your gift item! It is perfectly sized to hang off your dazzling gift.

Last month we said goodbye to a dear design team member Pam Imholz :C She was with me from the beginnning and she will be greatly missed by myself and the team, but we wish her well on her endevours. Now on our team is the amazingly talented Kathryn Berthiaume, whom I failed to give proper acknowledgement! She’s been a guest on our team before, and is part of our Pretty Pattern Sketch team so I forgot she was NEW! to the MTME team! I feel like she’s been with uis all this time. So my apologies for my oversight of both these amazing women! The last 5 months or so I’ve been caring my mom (and kids), so my family life had me in a bit of a tailspin.

Today I thought I’d share some more card ideas with you using the NEW! Night at the Movies set, and About to Pop! set , in coordination with the NEW! Movie Tickets, Countdown, and Pop Some Fun digital paper, and the Hot Ticket & Caught on Film Cut Files.

I used all these elements together 2 create 5 different card designs.

First up my favorite!

Ticket to Enjoy! 

I LOVE this card!

(and need to make a template to match it at some point!)

It used both the Night at the Movies set, and About to Pop! set in coordination to create the final product.

The card layout is from the Pretty Pattern Sketch 10

I used the star patterned paper from the Pop Some Fun paper. I used paper colors to digitally color the tickets, which I created using images from both the Night at the Movies set, and About to Pop! set .

I used this technique: Using Cut Files with Digital Images with the Hot Ticket © Cut file, to cut out my digitally designed tickets that I created. It was so easy, and look at the results! So cool. The ticket strip from the  About to Pop! set open to be the size you need to use with the Hot Ticket ©  Cut file! You can resize both, if you want to, just ensure you resize BOTH my percentage, not actual measurements.

Popped Fresh

Here is another card I did using the popcorn bag from the Night at the Movies set in coordination with the Pop Some Fun digital paper.

My popcorn bag is 3 D. It looks YUMMY in person.

 I added some “lights” to the filmstrip pattern paper on the right side, using my markers. Easy Peasy card. A great way to invite people to a movie themed party, or for a celebration of any kind.

Caught on Film

Now this card uses the NEW! Caught on Film © Cut File. I love the cut file Kristin designed, and can see this added to cards, bags, tags and especially Scrapbook pages, or frames everywhere! How cute would it be to add your child’s photos inside instead?! LOVE IT! 

I used the images from the Night at the Movies set, and put them into the Caught on Film © Cut File. 

This card features paper from both the NEW! Movie Tickets, and Countdown digital paper collections.

Now also using images from Night at the Movies set, and  paper from both the NEW! Movie Tickets, and Countdown digital paper collections are these two cards to follow.

Date Night

I love the papers Sara designed in coordination with her set Night at the Movies set. I used both of her collections to create this super simple card. I love letting the paper become the important part of my project details.

I love customizing the movie clipboard to suit my occasion. It is one of the funnest things I did using this latest release. Having this option for digital images is really too fun.

The stripe pattern and these tickets are my FAVORITE! They look stellar together.

Lights, Camera, Action!

Here I used the same paper combination of paper, but scaled the ticket paper to be smaller. I cut out 2 of the tickets from the paper, to add to my card.

 I hand colored the popcorn bag, but had digitally colored the pop corn flag on the bag first. The camera was printed, punched, and added to a paperclip that I customized.

Too fun!!!

Today I want to share another fun project using the Fresh Popped Pretty Packaging Template!

Isn’t this adorable???

I turned the Fresh Popped template into a Fresh Planted Pot!

I found some adorable Tulip shaped lollipops the other day, so I immediately knew they would be perfect packaged up in the Fresh Popped template, turned flower pot.

Obviously I went with the terracotta color for my pot.

When creating it I just scored 3/4 of an inch from the top of the scallops and folded the scallops down on each panel. I then assembled my template, per the instructions.

I found that the lollipops matched the pattern and the colors in my Flower Fusion © digital paper. This particular pattern t is one of my favorites! I adore the colors Sara chose too.

I had cut and layered the pattern panelsseparately so the pattern woulbe be exactly the same on all 4 pot sides.

Now for my “decor” I just kept it super simple by using the watering can image from the Tending The Garden  set, then adding the tulip from the Sensational Stems set. The tulip is my favorite, as that is my favorite flower.

I am once again quite late in partaking in the Pretty pattern Sketch Challenge this week, but better late than never right?

I was doing pretty good, but with the last release, kids on vacation and my mom’s surgery, I feel a bit behind the 8 ball.

I needed to create a card for my mom that conveyed the message that I was proud of her, and depsite all the pain she is in, and how tired she is that she just needs to stay focused and keep moving forward!

So I chose the lates Pretty Pattern Sketch 08 to get me motivated and started on my card 😀

So this is the card I made my mom, to bring to her while she is in the hospital.

She seemed to like it, and really felt the colors where cheery!

Yeah! Mission accomplished.

I used the bee from the Bee-Loved © set, which was cut using the My Bee Loved © cut file.

The panels were created using the Bee Mine © Pretty Printables Paper collection. It made working with this sketch really easy.

I wasn’t sure what I wanted,where, so it just sorta came together.

I love when that happens!

I’m back again today and the team and I have some more eye candy for you!

So today I have some challenges to post that I needed to catch up on.

My mom’s sugery which was Monday(she is doing well), the May release and kids vacation, as well as a vet emergency put me behind!

Daisy, our 3 year old cockapoo, had the “pleasure” of diving into Alexa’s Easter Basket (which  Alexa had left on her bed). Daisy began vomitting in the morning, and the first time I thought she ate too fast. Then I found 2 more “episodes”, and realized that it looked like chocolate. I began to panic a little, and asked the kids if they left anything out. Amber informed me of Alexa’s mishap (thankfully) and upon inspection  of the evidence I realized Daisy had eaten an entire (large) box of Junior Mints (which are dark chocolate), 2 Reese Peanut Butter Easter Eggs, 2 (at least) Cadbury Chocolate creme eggs, and that is what I could tell.

I called the vet immediately and he told me to give her 2 teaspoons of hydrogen peroxide to further induce vomitting. While I didn’t think that would be neccessary(or that I could even do that) as she already seemed to get rid of a ton on her own, one look at her and you could actually tell she felt ill :C I had Noah help me as we took her outside. He helped me hold her down, so I could give her the peroxide. I used a child medicine spoon dispenser. It allowed me to get into the side of her mouth and pour it in through her teeth. She was clenched and I couldn’t force her jaw open, so I poured it into the side of her mouth. She drank it.Within 2 minutes, the amount to chocolate that came up was INSANE!

We then had to rush her to the vet as it was determined she had eaten a leathal amount of dark chocolate. Daisy is only 12 lbs, so it only take an ounce, and she ate well ove that. There they induced more vomitting and gave her charcoal, as well as a few other things needed to be done. $564.80 cents later Daisy was OK.

As we were leaving the vet, they offered to give each of the kids those Lindt Chocolate bunnies. I had to ask “Are you kidding me? I appreciate the offer, but no thank you. We’ve had our fill of chocolate for one year!”

That was quite the expierience. Thank goodness we were home when it all happened. If something bad happened to Daisy I know Alexa would have felt awful, as she was very upset by the incident. Poor kid.

Anyway….I have a few challenges to catch up on before we wrap up our last day of release projects, so let me share those with you now.

Bright Day

I used the NEW! Bee-Loved © set for my card!

I colored the daisies with my Copic Markers, and added stickles to them. I cut the bee out using the My Bee Loved © cut file.

I also used the spotlight technique by stamped the flower in white, onto my black base, and matching it up to the colored flower panel! Too fun.

Celebrating you!

I had a vision for this card some time ago, where I cut out the center of the All A Flutter © butterfly, and you can see the Fresh Cut Expressions © Collection 2 patterned paper underneath! I altered the colors to suit the challenge!

Doesn’t that look so amazing? Too fun. I just scaled down the pattern and there you have it!

I added the flower from the Bold Botanicals © set, colored to match my paper.

The sentiment is from the Just For You © set.

 I actually made this for the Birthday Blog Hop for our team member Lisa, but failed to get it photographed and uploaded in time :C SORRY Lisa!!

Hi everyone

Checking in quick here.

I hope you all had a fabulous Easter. I know my family did.

I’ve been a bit more busy than usual with some family stuff, so wanted to pop by quickly.

My mom’s surgery was rescheduled last minute to May 2nd, so everything in life has gotten shuffled around. I’ve been running around a lot, and the kids are on vacation. That being said this vacation will be packed with appointments, and a couple of fun trips to the Zoo, and Aquarium (or Museum of Science-whichever they choose). Then preparing for the next release, and my mom’s stuff to name a few things going on.

That being said thought I’d share the next round of challenges here. Sadly I’ve not had time to partake, but the Sketch and Palette Team have really outdone themselves 😀

How have you all been?

I’m anxiously awaiting Spring. Today is suppose to be in the 60’s! Heavenly!

I have a few updates on my family to share at the bottom of this post 😀 So those who want to know what’s up, can be in the “know”.

I’m just starting to wined down from the April Release, and am getting ready for May! LOL! It is a never ending circle or events and planning.

This is MY version of the Pretty Palette 04

I have to say I think this is STUNNING! I love the colors.

This will be a “possibility” of being my mom’s birthday card. She turns 54 this weekend. I generally make several and pick my favorite! LOL! Crazy huh?

So here are some details!

I LOVE the Singing Silhouette ©  set 😀 So pretty.

So I cut my Caged © cut file, to cut my cage, I then stamped my cage, with a little masking, and stamped the branch and flowers from the set, then added my bird 😀

I used the postcard sheet from the Cool Romance © digital paper.

I cut it out, then added a dirtied up silhouette flower from the Occasional Labels © set in the lower left hand corner.

I used the writing from the postcard as my “sentiment” on the palette.

For the bottom “pattern” layer, I made my OWN paper 😀

That is my favorite thing to do!

I used the Argyle Amazement © set to create my pattern. Can you say LOVE IT!!

Now for an update! If you don’t follow my family, no biggie, just move on to view the Pallete Challenge!

As I said my mom is turning 54 this weekend. It is a very pivotal time, as it was that weekend last year that her life forever changed.

It has been a year since her husband was arrested for her attempted murder. He is still in jail. The case is going to trial as he refused a very good plea bargain, which would have lead to deportation.

He is denying his confession, claiming he didn’t understand what he was saying (his first language is Portuguese), and requesting that the video confession, after his arrest, be thrown out. Trust me he speaks English very well.

Anyway, my mom returned to court to renew the restraining order. The judge granted her a 3 year order. They are undergoing trail very soon (we don’t have an exact date yet) and she has filed for divorce. We don’t know if he could get out so better safe than sorry (not that a piece of paper could save her from him, but it can be helpful-right?)

In the divorce he wants half of everything SHE worked for, AND get this, he wants Alimony when he gets out because SHE ruined HIS life, and he won’t be able to find work. The list of insanity goes on and on.

 Hopefully we will get  a judge with an 1/8th of a brain, and he will not allow any of this to take place. My mom has been paying on everything (his vehicles and other stuff she wants possession of, as she needs these items) always, and more obvious since his incarceration.

So a long way to go with that.

Now we go on to her Cancer. She will undergo surgery the 29th. She will be hospitalized for a week and then have a long recovery. She will undergo 2 more rounds of chemo after healing, then to hopefully be cured 😀 She has been amazingly strong through all this. She had many weak moments, but in the end she found the strength she needed to move forward with her life!

Her life isn’t ready to be over. She has much left to do in this world 😀 I’m not ready to not have my mom around yet. I have 2 girls of my own to raise (and a son) and need someone to guide me on what I’m doing, and how to get through the tough stuff.

Speaking of girls, many have asked for updates on Alexa.

I will post some photos of her soon.

Tonight she is partaking in a school event, where she will be doing African drums, and dancing! I hope to catch it on video (hoping for good quality so I can post it here for you all to see her! She has grown and matured so much in this last year).

As May approaches she reaches her 4th year in remission!!

She is by far the strongest person I know. She is my little hero. I am in a constant state of awe of her. She is in the ‘pre-teen” attitude stages, and I have to remind myself this is a good thing! The attitude is insane! Everything is an argument. She wants it her way or no way. Sounds like me when I was her age.

 That being said, I am ever grateful for these daily struggles of will, as she has always been strong willed. It is far easier than the struggles with her life. I’ve been told that it is her strong will that pulls her through. It is why she does so well. Well that and God’s hand guiding her through. Alexa has a great purpose in this life, I am certain of that. She keeps me in constant check, of what is important in life, and how fragile and precious each moment is.

I recently had a meltdown over the fact that the 2 years she was ill I took barely any video or photos. I didn’t want to remember anything about that time, now I sort of wish I had. Especially when we went to Disney. I SHOULD have video tapped at least that! That was a a happy time. After some severe mommy guilt, I promised to record more, and take more photos.

Well that about wraps up the family review, for now anyway. I’ll let you know how the dance goes 😀

Are you looking for a simply unique basket to present your gifts in? Well I think you will find that this one is so “berry” sweet!

 Now that you know more about the template, let me share the details of how I made my basket!

I cut my Berry Sweet Basket from chocolate cardstock.

I tied on a red gingham ribbon, then added the jam jar from the Well Preserved © set. The jar was cut out using the Well Preserved © Pretty Pieces Cut File.

I was able to stamp the top “plaid” pattern in red, like the ribbon. I tied the top wih some embroidery floss.

I stamped the label onto the “jar”, with the apple image, so it would coordinate with my  Berry Sweet Basket  contents.

The sentiment was stamped in the center of the label for my Berry Sweet Basket from the NEW! Occasional Labels set which was cut using the Occasional Label Pretty Pieces Cut File.

I stamped my sentiment “Happy Trails” which I “built” using the NEW! sentiment building images from the Sentimental Occasions set. You will fall in love with the possibilities of this set 😀

 The “to you” is from the Just For You © set.

I obviously chose to fill my basket with 7 of the An Apple a Day Pretty Pieces Cut File. Really cute, fun and easy! They are a perfect addition to this template.

An Apple a Day $2.50

 As they say an apple a day…

Now giving little treats can’t get ANY cuter.

 This cut file makes the perfect party favor!

 Fill these “apple” favors with flavored hard candies, chocolates, mints, or other candies of your choosing, for a unique wrapper that is sure to make them smile! You can put in little handmade soaps, tea lights…or other fun treats!

In mine I put 4 chocolate candies.

You then take a brad, prongs face up, and insert it through the hole of one of the panels.

You then take the opposite panel, and put the prongs through that one, as well.

Repeat this until all ends are through the brad prongs.

Optional:

Depending on the look you want, apply your “leaves” to the brad.

Fold down your brad prongs. This securely closes your “apple”.

Then top your “apple” off however you see fit. I used a brown, pre-tied bow as my apple stem!

DONE!

Change the “color” and the “apple” can quickly become a pumpkin, orange, muffin, cinnamon bun, blueberry, a sewing pin cushion, stack them to create a “snowman”, or Santa Claus…maybe even a cute little bunny!

 The only limit is your imagination!

      I had fun with this sketch, and loved making my card to match my Berry Sweet Basket !

I decided to use my Harriet Hop-Along Basket Single © – Digital, which I mirrored. I then took the heart patch, and bow from the Harriet Hop-Along Birthday Single © – Digital set, and added it to my Harriet Hop-Along Basket Single © – Digital image.

I love having these possibilities to transform my images in so many ways be it in size, mirroring the image, adding/layering other elements, and even digitally coloring if I want.

Here I obviously used my Copic Markers, and doodled on the little flowers. I also made my own grass too 😀

In order to “match” the ribbon on my basket I printed the GaGa for Gingham © paper, as my patterned layer. Too fun! This also matches the Pretty Pattern 01 Challenge!

I used the butterfly from the Tending The Garden ©  set, and added a flutter trail using the Fanciful Flourishes © set.

Here is MY take on the sketch 😀 I had a blast with it, and hope you will too.

Happy 7th Birthday!

I am truly in LOVE with the Harriet Hop-Along Birthday set! This is a NEW! release that I am just over the moon for. Not only is she cute, but she can make the perfect card for so many occasions, one being birthdays, of course!

I made this to keep on hand, as my daughter Amber will be 7 this summer, and many of her friends will be turning 7 also! I always need cards ON HAND 😀

I have been longing for more images to color, and let me just say it was so fun! I cannot wait to release more “color me pretty” images in the future.

The colors were inspired by the Candy Shoppe Pretty Printables Paper.

I colored my image in with my Copic markers, but for the balloon, I colored that digitally!

I digitally colored the balloon  because I wanted the 7 th on the balloon to be in white, and the pink balloon to match my printable paper! So I colored the balloon pink (picking up the colors from the Candy Shoppe Pretty Printables Paper). I then took my copic marker and shadowed it afterward.

It is SO  nice having my own printable paper, that I can resize (nice having large or smaller scale versions of a pattern), and only use what I need (no waste). I only need a decent stock of white or ivory cardstock and I have TONS of options. I love not needing to store tons of patterns, or worry about running out. With ONE purchase I get unlimited use of the digital paper! We carry over 140 paper collections right now 😀 Check them out!
