I’m back again!

Today I am sharing another sample using our latest Digital Release of Underwater Wonderment, combined with the latest Pretty Palette Sketch Challenge 14:

I am so happy to finally get to play along with the Pretty Pattern Sketch team, on time! LOL!

I’ve been quite busy wrapping up projects, and completing end of year teacher gifts, since tonight we will meet with our school staff at the Author’s Night. I will share  those projects when the products I chose to use have been released 😀 For now it’s top secret 😀

Here is my take on the sketch.

Don’t you just love the NEW! Alexa Mermaid image from the Underwater Wonderment © set? She was designed with my sweet daughter Alexa, in mind. She loves to swim, like a little fish, and requested a Mermaid she could use and color herself.

designed this using the latest Pretty Palette Color Challenge 13:

I LOVED this sketch that Tangii designed, as it allowed me to work with several patterns of paper, all together, which were inspired by the color palette!

 I chose to use:

Fun Flowers ©

Fresh Flowers ©

Romance © (re-colored digitally to match)

Don’t the patterns really compliment eachother, and add to the sea like feel of it, despite the fact they AREN’T “sea” themed?

I printed and colored by mermaid using my Copic Markers. I also chose to adorn the corner with the O’mazing Oyster image, instead of the “bow” in the sketch. I love her to pieces.

Thanks for stopping by for a visit! I hope you enjoyed today’s sample and that you get some time to check out what the Pretty Pattern Sketch team has come up with! Maybe you will even play along with one of our fun challenges 😀

Until next time!

Today we wrap up our June Release Projects, and as always we like to end thing with the ever popular Year in Review!

    Here is mine:

    Forever Sunshine

OH! How I love the colors and cheery feeling this gift set has 😀

I adore designing packaging to suit my gift, and making it coordinate.

This month I designed a paper collection called Spring is Here! This collection utilized some images from older sets, to create some NEW! fresh and fun pattern paper!

I used this paper as the main focus on an older template: What’s Your Angle? ©

Here if the full front view, obscured.

    I loved this box!

I love the size of it, the unique angles of the box, and how you can use various patterns of paper to show them off 😀

Here I used 3 patterns from the Spring is Here! collection, and they are showcased perfectly!

I used the butterflies on the wide angles, and the stripe pattern on the triangular sides.

It looks amazing all the way around!

That is so important when creating anything.

    The finishing details.

All sides looking nice & professional.

For the top, I chose to use the floral pattern. I love  that pattern 😀

To adorn the top I went once again with old, made new stamp sets: Tending The Garden © & All A Flutter ©! The border is the seed packet image from Tending The Garden .

I stamped the leaf image from Tending The Garden onto the open line image of the butterfly from All A Flutter. I had too much fun combining these sets and paper collection.

I love pulling out my older stuff and finding new uses. In this economy we need to stretch our purchases and uses for them.

Sorry I’m MIA. Alexa had a little medical issue and now has to have surgery on Monday to have her port-a-cath. Then there have been many other medical crisis in my family, so I’ve been a tad busy.

I will have another post tomorrow.

    Late! Late! Late!

Sep 21, 2009 Author: mytime | Filed under: Cards, My Time To Color Challenge, Stampavie

Yes! I know I’m LATE posting my own challenge!! What else is new, right! LOL!

So much to do, so little time. Amber’s party went FABULOUS! I’ll share photos and details another day, as I have TONS to do! Plus editing the photos and properly sharing the day 😀 I also can’t share her favor boxes yet, as they are an upcoming template 😀 It’s really cool 😀

But as I promised I do have 2 samples with the color challenge (Oh! and I will post the other 2 template projects I promised to post Wednesday!) See, I’m just a day late and a dollar short all around.

I made this card for my Color Challenge-HERE!

    Whimsical Greetings

    color-challenge.JPG

OK so little bits of pop here, but I DID use the colors!!

This card was made as a PURE experiment for me!

I had yet to really use my SCAL 2.0 for my Cricut Expression, and I wanted to give it a go. Many said it was a program with a huge learning curve! Well, that sent me into a PANIC, since I can barely email a attachment! LOL! I was SOOOOO scared to try it.

I have to say I had NO trouble at all!!! Go ME!! (unless I’m not using it to its full capacity! LOL!) I am totally loving the little bit of play time I have  had with my new expression.

I ordered Card Shapes, Journaling Shapes 1, and Spring Flowers! (More suggestions for things I should download/buy definitely welcomed :D) OH! and I will check out some of the links to videos that you all shared with me (THANK YOU!)

I used the Card Shapes to make this card, and the journaling shapes for the center tag piece 😀 I had FUN! I just did some layering. Nothing CRAZY! I only had like 15 minutes to make this, and think given the time crunch I did good. It took me some time to get my layering figured out, but now I KNOW how-so should be easy next time.

Now the SUPER cool butterfly set is called Butterfly Wishes!!! It was designed by my friend Jessica 😀 She rocks 😀

(Don’t worry I promise to make something better with it, and give it some justice!!) I just needed to “practice” with my SCAL 2.0

    ————————————–

    NOTE: From a Previous post

I purchased Sure Cuts A Lot 2.o (since you all said I NEED it :D) and GUESS WHAT! Canda of Canda Craft (where I found the SCAL 2.0 for the CHEAPEST price around WOOT! WOOT!) not only has it on SALE! , but emailed me after I placed my order, to tell me that YOU, my PRECIOUS, much loved and HELPFUL readers will get an ADDITIONAL 10% off!

    NOTE: LINKS NOW FIXED! SORRY!

    The code is: MYTIME10.

This offer will expire on 10/15/09.

The coupon will take 10% off of their entire purchase which will make SCAL even cheaper!

So seriously how cool is that? Those of you on the fence can now jump off!

Let me know if you took the plunge with me D OK!

    ————————————————————–

OH! The center image is by K& Co. I got it a LONG time ago at M’s 😀

    OK one more……..

    Merry Kiss-Mas

    merry-kiss-mas.JPG

I thought these two mice were way too adorable!!

They are from Stampavie’s NEW! Gillian Roberts line: Mistletoe & Mice

Now I didn’t get ALL Christmas-y with it, just enough. As you can see it can be and every day kind of card. I have to admit my mojo was lacking since I threw out my back cleaning the fridge!! GRR!!

I was just so close to done, then didn’t love the end layout.

Don’t get me wrong-Love the colored part, but that was it!

I’m tempted to RIP it apart and salvage the image, then re-set it! Ever do that???

     kiss-details.JPG

I needed a cute little “I love you” card for Jay, since he has been so wonderful to me lately, helping out, and being SO supportive of my creative CRAZY goals and ventures 😀 I think he will like it. After I re-do it! LOL!!!

OK I need to run-be back tomorrow for a post with a NEW! Release image 😀

    Thanks for stopping by!

My Time To Create Color Challenge

Sep 18, 2009 Author: mytime | Filed under: My Time To Color Challenge

Let me start by saying THANK YOU!!

All the kind comments and emails on my latest projects (and new photo of me :D) are SO sweet and so appreciated! I have worked my hiney off creating the last few weeks and there is MORE to come! LOL!!

I have many emails to answer and I will get to them asap!

I have been busy testing out my Cricut and using my Sure Cuts Alot. WOW! am I in LOVE!!!!!! The SCAL 2.0 isn’t hard at all-and I’m challenged! LOL! OK well at least it isn’t hard yet! LOL! I have been able to do what I wanted no problem :D) OH! and CRAZY planning Amber Princess Costume Party-which is today!

I have TONS left ot do…..but somehow I HOPE her dream party will be made a reality! I’m worried that the vision in her head won’t match the reality :C

Anyway, she made an AMAZING painted Castle centerpiece! It was all her idea to have one when she saw it in the wood section of Michael’s, and she totally painted it herself. I was in awe! I added a few decorative elements (at her discretion! LOL!)

I cannot wait to share photos of everything! It looks REALLY cool 😀

In the meantime it is CHALLENGE time 😀

This week we have a color challenge-picked and created by Kristin

    mtcc06.jpg

I SWEAR I actually got my projects done for THIS challenge, but have to post later-I didn’t get photos or edit yet-SORRY :C Party stuff had to be #1!! My baby only turns 5 ONCE!

    Back to School -Color Challenge

Aug 24, 2009 Author: mytime | Filed under: Cards, My Time To Color Challenge

Hi everyone-I am seriously in complete SHOCK that Summer is about over!

Today I’m squeezing in ONE more day trip with the kids, then tomorrow will be getting all the Back to School stuff in order. CRAZY!!!

Yesterday was our Wedding anniversary. I did a Smilebox (2 years ago! WOW!) of some of the photos from our Hawaiian Wedding —>CLICK HERE<— if you want to see that.

We actually had an ALL day date! Now that is not something that happens often. We traveled to Boston MA to do the Duck Tours and ate in Little Italy. Got a Lobster Claw pastry from Mikes too (I swear its 5,000 calories ALONE! LOL!) and just enjoyed each others company. We were able to reflect on how much has happened in the years we spent together. Actually each year is always full of SOMETHING crazy! LOL!  Be it having our children, buying and renovating our home, Alexa’s Cancer, getting our first pet, my brother living with us, then this was the year of “surgeries”. Noah had got circumcised, I had my gall bladder out, and Jay had his back Discetomy! LOL! I’m NOT complaining-trust me! They are all minor and fixable things so I am very happy. It is just crazy to reflect on some of the changes our family has had over the years.

All in all, we are happy we have weathered anything that has come our way, together! We are happier, stronger, and more thankful for what we have-than ever! I look forward to the next 100 years together (Yes I plan that by the time I get old we CAN live that long :))

On a crafty note-believe it or not I have TONS going on and TONS to share 😀 I hope to actually get to my computer to do it soon! LOL!

I swear I will post my other Top 5 ASAP!!

Now in preparation for Back to School I decided to use the Color Challenge –> HERE for my card today

    #1 Teacher

    amber-school-2.JPG

I thought this was cute and funky! I love the non-traditional school colors!

    LOVED my own layout! LOL!!!

To start, I made my own scenery for this one. You can see my video for that —>HERE I then made sure her head was out of frame for a nice POP.

    amber-school-deet.JPG

This is WS- Annika from The Greeting Farm, who I bought after seeing Julie Campbell use it HERE😀 (thanks girl! You made me spend a small fortune that day! LOL!

The #1 Teacher is stamped on a die cut tag. That sentiment is from Lizzie Anne Designs – School Days. Love that set!

This is a Thank You card for Cindy Coutts who sent my daughter Alexa the entire Math Program we needed for her 😀 It was such a wonderful gesture, and is very much appreciated! After Alexa makes her card, it will go postal (as Alexa informed me this girl doesn’t look at all like her! LOL!)

On a “funny note” Jay and I were going through a scrapbook that ALL my PSF’s made for Alexa’s Make a Wish trip to Disney, and Alexa was browsing the photos. They did an AMAZING job creating this album for her and I am SO thankful to have it. There is one photo of her with Mickey Ears on (one of my faves from that trip)-and you can’t see ANY hair. Well that is because she didn’t have any while going through her Chemo. Anyway, Alexa looks at the photo-puzzled. She says “Is that me? It sort of looks like me .” She then starts laughing and places her hand on her forehead , kind of like a DUH!!!(dramatically) and answers her own question “Oh! Yeah! That IS me! I had Cancer! I forgot I had no hair!” then just giggled and turned the page.

HOLY CRAP! I was just in a pause moment, that something like that was just a small bump in the road to her, a glimmer of a fading memory to Alexa. I’m often not sure sometimes WHAT she gets about certain things, and am often surprised by just how much she really DOES get, but doesn’t EXPRESS to me very often until the craziest times. A huge part of me is happy she didn’t recall all the real terrifying things that went on, and I was happy I THINK I did a good job concealing my own worst thoughts, fears and feelings during that time

I cannot believe how long Alexa’s hair is getting now, as you will see in  the Back to School photos I will get once they go back Wednesday. Out of all my kids, Alexa’s yearly milestones seem so much more HUGE to me. Everything she can do is so much harder for her, effortless for them. Bittersweet to me sometimes. But, give her the chance and  she will do it!

I remember a time when the bus would show up and she could NOT climb up the stairs without help! Well, now she insists waiting for the bus BY HERSELF, and me not running to the door when she gets off! As she will tell you “I’m not a baby, I’m 9 now!” She just likes to come off the bus, walk in, and announce to me that she is home. Its so weird sometimes to see that she is actually growing into this independent, feisty young lady. I’m so proud of her. Admittedly it can be hard to let go and not protect her every step of the way.

I reminded myself of a dog my mom once had! Her name was Annie. She was this huge German Shepard. Well, when Alexa was a baby, my mom would have her at night while I worked (I was a nurse, and as a single mom would work nights so I could take care of Alexa during the days). Anyway once Alexa could crawl, Annie would stand over her, every INCH, in attempts to “protect” her every move! It was the strangest thing! Alexa couldn’t even attempt to walk on her own because the dog was ALWAYS hovering over her. Not knowingly trying to prevent her from walking, but meaning well, and protecting her.

I am often reminded that I am that dog, and cannot stand over her every move. How will she walk on her own if I  always hover over her?

Many people have so many misconceptions about people with Down Syndrome and other special needs for that matter. Alexa proves that to me daily. Things I was told she’d NEVER do, but does!

She writes some of the most amazing poems! She literally sits there ALL day and either reads books or writes poems and stories. She tells me all the time that she wants to write stories when she grows up. I know she will do just that 😀

I am enrolling her in Art Classes this fall. I’m very excited about this for her as I have HUNTED for a Art Program for 3 years now! Finally we have found a class for something Alexa loves to do. Each week there will be something new taught. How fun for her!

Someone said to me recently, after me telling them about Alexa enrolling “Oh! Isn’t that nice. I didn’t know they had art classes for kids with special needs!” My jaw sort of hit the floor then. While it was a “simple” and innocent comment, it cut like a knife.

Alexa is just like every other kid. Things can be harder for her, but she does do the work so she can do it just like everyone else. All I replied was “She isn’t taking a special art class, she will be with other 9 year old kids.”

Sometimes the hardest thing about raising a child like Alexa, is pushing past the worlds misconceptions, and limits they have placed. We have all come so far, but there is so far to travel. I know I am up for journey 😀

Well that does it for me today-One more day of fun with my children before we get ready to head back to school!

Amber starts Kindergarten and I just cannot even believe it!

    Time sure does fly.

Every month I cannot believe its THAT month’s release! LOL!

Time is just WHIPPING by isn’t it? Before I know it Christmas will be done and over and it will be 2010!

Well today is the 15th and that means I have my Papertrey Ink projects to share 😀 That also means the latest and greatest of the My Timeless Templates: Tucked Away & Fold n’ Go! are now available for purchase too! WOOT! WOOT! I truly cannot wait to see what YOU do with them-so don’t forget to share 😀

Now as I get ready to share my release items, please be sure to scroll down so you can see all I had to share this week, leading up to the release!! I previously shared projects using 3 NEW! Release sets: Sign Language, and 2009 Halloween & 2009 Fall Tags! Don’t miss them.

In the meantime….here are the remainder of my samples!

    Scattered Showers Additions

    cant-smile-choice.JPG

I know this set is the scattered shower additions set, but I found it to be TOTALLY cute on its own! I had fun layering the tag, with the clouds and sun images in the set. The sentiment reminds me of my most favorite song I used to sing as a girl by Barry Manilow-Can’t Smile Without You! I just LOVE this fun & cheery card!

    cant-smile-close-up.JPG

Seriously are the colors not FAB?! I had a blast with this one!

    Supplies:

    Stamps: Scattered Shower additions
    Cardstock: white, teal
Patterned Paper 2008 bitty star basics
ink: summer sunset, aqua mist, pure poppy, new leaf, black
    ribbon: saddle stitched grosgrain
tag punch by SU!, adhesive pearl, pinking circle nestability

    Fall Elegance

This set is very pretty. The perfect all around “fall” set. Tiffany did a FAB job with all the elements she combined when creating this. I look forward to using more of her designs in the future. The ideas of this project I am about to share just flowed!

    Thankful for-

    thankful-for-purple.JPG

I used my Fold n’ Go! template with this new fall set to create a elegant gift package!

I loved the flourished pattern on the leaves, so I tried to mimic that idea into my design by paper piercing a flourish of “wind” around the leaves

    thankful-close-up.JPG

I also used a hobby blade to cut portion of each leaf, so I could pop it forward, as if it were swirling off my box!

I’m in love the contrast of the black, Razzleberry (a SU! color) and lavender moon, on this package.

As you can see I used the standard and Pretty Petite version of the template to create the similar designs.

    thankful-2.JPG

    Supplies:
My Timeless Template: Fold N’ Go!
    Stamps: Fall Elegance
Cardstock: Rich Razzleberry (SU!) Lavender Moon
    Patterned Paper: Bitty Dots 2008
    Ink: versamagic trio, and black
Prima Flowers, adhesive rhinestones, paper piercer and template, 1 1/4 circle punch, corner rounder

    Autumn Abundance

What a pretty set this is! I’m just in love (as always).

When I saw this set I went to rich colors like the blues and greens. I love the “not so typical” fall colors, in case you can’t tell! I did a similar color scheme last year for fall and I still just LOVE that color combination! See my table setting post <—-CLICK IT!

Now here are my samples using the stamp set, and  The My Timless Template Tucked Away

    tab-together.JPG

My colors were also pulled from some new paper by K & Co.

Again a standard and Pretty Petite version of my Tucked Away template! I love showing the various designs ideas for BOTH sizes.

    Top view of standard size

    box-flower-topper-view.JPG

Now we have the Pretty Petite version

    tab-flower-mini.JPG

For this one I used the Apron border from EK success to create the cute scalloped edge on my layer 😀 Loved it.

    This is the set stacked!

    box-stacked.JPG

I think it looks so cute like that 😀

You could put ANYTHING in here from after dinner mints, to tea, maybe chocolates, of other homemade goodie? Embroidered napkin/handkerchief…….love that idea!

    Seriously Perfect!

    Now seriously simple…….

    another-flower-deet.JPG

Oh boy was my eye ever drawn to the flower image in the set (go figure! LOL!)

    bouquet-2.JPG

I just did a SIMPLE card using my nestabilities and this image as my MAIN focus!

Simple, clean and understated. I like it 😀 You don’t always need a LOT to make an impact.

P.S. If you purchase the Fold n’ Go! Template you will see another version I did using this set and colors-I was over the moon for it!

    Supplies:
    My Timeless Template: tucked Away
    Stamps: Autumn Abundance
Cardstock: Spring Moss, Enchanted Evening, White, New Leaf
Saddle stitched ribbon in Enchanted Evening
    patterned paper by K& Co
Labels dies, circle dies, apron border by EK Success, brads, cuttlebug embossing folder

    Next up we have……

    Boo to You!

    halloween-1.JPG

When I saw this set I immediately saw a witch cauldron! I decided that was exactly what I would do. Making that change from a pumpkin, to a pot, was easy peasy! I made this cute tag to hold 2 glow sticks, for a duo colored necklace! What trick or treater wouldn’t be excited to get these instead of the traditional “candy” that rots their teeth! LOL!

    hallow-2.JPG

Wouldn’t a classroom of kids FREAK over these? Easy peasy!! I may have my own treat idea done (hopefully on time :D)

    Supplies:

    Stamps: Boo to you
    cardstock: black, white, purple
patterned paper: black and white basics, 2008 bitty star basics
ink: black, smokey shadow, summer sunrise, orchid
    stitched grosgrain
    vintage buttons
tag punch by marvy, circle punch. jewel brad

    That is that!

WOWZERS! Do I ever need a break! LOL! I always go into creative overload after the release! I pour every ounce into it, so by the end I am just EMPTY! Hopefully all the day trips we are taking with the kids will help refill my creative tank 😀 It feels so good and refreshing spending time with the kids, and making memories together!

    NOTE:
I will be picking and displaying a Top 5 from last week, but didn’t properly get to go through all the entries, so I will post them in a couple of days along with my sample using the challenge!

So once again, thank you for stopping by!

I hope you like the projects I have shared over the last week 😀

    Enjoy the day

OK are you ready for some MORE peeks!! I’m so excited!

I’m running so behind this week! Spent the day with the kids at Story Land yesterday. 3 hour drive due to traffic! YIKES! I thought the kids would make me crazy but it turned out to be my hubby complaining about the drive! LOL! Anyway, it was a gorgeous day! PERFECT! We had a blast!

    OK down to buisness!

Some time ago (back in March) I posted this project—>Baby Bunny Basket

WOWZERS! Was I ever swamped with emails about HOW to make it!! Little did you know, I already had it planned for a template 😀 I did most of my templates about a year ago now!! I have sat on SO many of them for so long now!! It is SO hard! Every now and again I sneak a version in my regular posting 😀

I have over 2 more years worth done, so it can be hard to WAIT, and I often forget what I made! LOL!!! I do have a sample file, but every-time we decide what comes next, I am always surprised!! LOL!

Well, now I’d like to formally  introduce you to Pretty Petal Pocket ©

    perfect-petal-pocket-frontdetail.JPG

    About Pretty Petal Pocket ©:

You will love this “pocket” style template creation! Sweet and simple, but it looks so complicated with all the angles and curves! With the template you will be whipping up gifts in NO TIME!  You can make it closed, leave it open, handle on, handle off! Its the perfect size. Petal center on, or leave it off. Many choices!

This pretty “pocket” was inspired by my very favorite flower, the tulip! That is how it received the name. I wanted to recreate the delicate and pretty layers! Like all the My Timeless Templates ©, the possibilities are endless!  It doesn’t have to be all girly! Leave off the additional “petal” layer, and it becomes the sweetest “basket” or as I like to say here, “pocket” template! It can hold so many fabulous things!  Weather use make it a “petal” or a “simple basket” style the receiver will be dying to pick this pocket!

    perfect-petal-pocket-side-detail.JPG

I love the angles/curves it has, and the ability to transform the design every time!

    perfect-petal-inside.JPG

This one was the “concept sample” since I design just the templates first, then I later make my actual “sample”. These are “quickies” that the design team get to see so that they know what the finished project looks like 😀

For this one I printed my template in pure poppy, then make the “tulip petal” from black and white basics, then colored it with my copic markers to match my project!

Shows you just how fast and easy it can be!

    Supplies:

My Timeless Template: Pretty Petal Pocket

    Stamps: NONE!

     Cardstock:Pure poppy, Spring moss

    Patterned Paper: B& W basics

    ink: NONE! Just Copic markers

other: silver brad to hold closed 😀

Now comes the My Time to Create Color Challenge and another SAMPLE!!!

    color-challenge-july-11.jpg

I *just got –>this<– Vera Bradley Bag! It is the Stephanie style, in the Carnable Collection! LOVE IT!

I hope you get a chance to join in the color challenge!

    Post your creations HERE

It was so inspiring to me, that I had to make my newest Pretty Petal Pocket © template look *just* like it 😀

    pocketbook-side.JPG

OK not JUST like it, but my fun and funky version! I have to say I am in HEAVEN with this “handbag”. You’d never think CARDSTOCK would you?

    bag-side.JPG

Look at the cool decor on the fun side panel! I could scream!

Check it out girls! REAL hardware to boot!

    LOVE IT!

I feel like I’m cheating on my template because for this sample,I just used ribbon as my handles, and metal pieces I purchased at the craft store! Jewelry rings for the handbag rings, and an actual purse latch! HELLO! Love that!

I am excited to hear what you think of this new template! I’m a totally in LOVE with it, and have SO much more to share regarding design ideas over the next couple of days!! JUST WAIT!! YIPPEE!!

    Happy Saturday!

    Feels like summer!

We are off the the Sea & Science center in Manchester NH with the kids.

I have cut WAY back on all my design commitments so I can focus more on my children, family and pursuing my template designs, and MAYBE stamp design 😀 My true passions.

Sorry this is late. I had a day out of the house and spent some time with my children, so I’m sure you understand!

Tomorrow I will spend the day packing orders from my HUGE STAMP SALE!! Paulette and I are buried in stamps and our houses are TRASHED! LOL! All the orders stacked and getting ready to go out! Some will ship Tuesday as I alerted the P.O. of how many packages we have (well over 100) and they asked me to break it up for them! We live in a small town, so you don’t want to upset the P.O.!

Yesterday we went to Build a Bear to make Ethan’s sister Ava the Pawsome Pony!! We have two outfits-one ALL GIRLY, and the other is ALL boy. We stuffed out hearts and prayers in the pony, and left it “open” so Ava and her family can stuff their hearts and wishes in the pony too!

Amber decided Ava HAD to have a set of ALL Girly clothes for her pony so she could make it a boy or girl. She did all the “styling” of Pawsome Pony for Ava (basically she chose the same outfit she loved for her own Dog she created) Avawill get to name the pony and stuff on her own, online. Now she will have BOY Cowboy and Girly clothes for the pony. We also got a bandanna and a Saddle!

When you squeeze the hoof it says I love you! Alexa decided we had to include that.

I don’t know WHO had more fun, me or the kids. Amber decided she wants to have her birthday party there! OK! Now I know!

I let my kids make thier own animal! They want to be “featured” here (My kids LOVE when I put their photos here! LOL! My husband, not so much!) with their animals, and share photos of the Pony that they made for Ava. Another post, another day. I think Ava will really like it! I wanted to make one for myself! LOL! Lot’s of fun.

    OK so onto the challenge!

Here is my take on the challenge

    celebrate-ethan.JPG

    We’re Celebrating

I think this is so cute!!!

I thought this would be the ULTIMATE cute  Cowboy themed birthday invite (or card to give the Birthday Cowboy!)

I LOVED these colors for the Weiman Wranglers Digi  Set! I normally go with red or blue, and chocolate. Great to step out of my color comfort zone!

I used the horseshoe image from JustRite StampsNEW! Favorite Occasions Borders & Centers Set 1-5/8″  and the We’re Celebrating from the NEW! Celebrations Demi Phrases Set 2″ . It was PERFECT (I think) for this card.

Overall this is SIMPLE, but it didn’t NEED much more.

So I hope you get to give it a whirl!
My contest ends Monday!!! So get a move on 😀

In the meantime, check out the design team samples:

This challenge was inspired by this dress found at the Children’s Place. I LOVE the rainbow of colors, and thought it would be a super challenge! Plus very SPRINGY! If that’s a word.

I decided to do ANOTHER MDF image from Say it with Letters

    another-shroom.JPG

-a Mushroom 😀 This is on my Etsy Shop as well!

Can you tell Im having too much fun with them?

It all began with the mushroom, then the paper by Sassafrass Lass-Sunshine Lollipop-in which I mixed the patterns for my mushroom, then I saw this image…….sitting on my desk……………sooooooo………..I got special permission to share this so you get a SUPER DUPER EARLY peek at new sets being released from C.C. Designs

    shroom-girl.JPG

This adorable girl image is a NEW! LINE called Swiss Pixies! This is Heidi!!

You won’t see previews for her until May 30th and she will be available for purchase on June 1st! I KNOW!!!! Its a LONG time to wait-SORRY! But I HAD to use her ASAP!

Seriously look how CUTE she is

    lil-fairy-shroom.JPG

Just sitting UNDER the mushroom-all happy and fun.

I couldn’t help but color her hair pink 😀 I like it that color.

I glittered her wings. Doodled her shirt and boot, and paper pieced her skirt.

I added some felt flowers, and a heart that I die cut.

I STITCHED around the mushroom-BY HAND, and well as all the paper “patchwork” !!

    button-stitch-detail.JPG

    TOTALLY INSANE! ME-hand stitching something!

I did this while watching Ellen on TV! She makes the time go by fast.

I added LOTS of buttons for my mushroom spots, and interest. I love them!

Here is my sentiment: another peek at a new set by AmyR-previews begin the 29th I believe

The sentiment can be removed easily-as its tucked into the buttons

    sentiment-details-shroom.JPG

    I thought it was PERFECTION!

Here is the final view-from the top

    top-shroom.JPG

I like to make sure its ALL decorated nicely! I think this is so FUN and FUNKY!! Not my typical style-but I’m lovin it. Feels good to stretch the comfort zones sometimes.

Wait until you see what the team came up with! Here is a PEEK!
