So sorry I’m late
This is my Saturday mytimess15 sketch, flipped up side down!
Story of my life! I sit here in pure PANIC as I realize I still have gifts to make for family and Christmas is ONE week away!!!!!!!! GASP! Please tell me you are doing the mad dash too? How did this happen? I started Christmas stuff in like August for all my design work!
That little snail is me, if I were ever to be reincarnated into an animal! LOL! At least I’d be Raspberry Fizz and Dark chocolate 😀
I make tons of stuff, but never get around to mailing it. I know I talk about this often. It’s a super awful habit. Can you tell it truly weighs on me? I usually end up donating all my creations. I don’t know what it is that I can never get any Thank Yous out in a timely manner. I put so much pressure to make each one special and perfect. I guess ANY thank you is better than a super late one.
I didn’t even make our Christmas cards this year, even though I had my design. I just printed our family photo, and put it in cards from the American Cancer Society–here is that post, and can’t even finish getting those out! Good grief.
Another view for those who get dizzy with my tilted photos!
This card is 5 X 5 for those who are wondering
I do have some special cards to make for my PSF’s who got Alexa a special necklace (more on that when they are done and posted here) ,but am waiting to get PTI’s next release 😀 as it suits them all so fabulously! They gave her the gift in MAY! Now that my friends, is LATE.
OK now for the card details-this is going to a sweet friend Sonia (eventually! LOL!)
She has been so super sweet to me and I need to thank her. This suits my predicament.
I LOVE the mushrooms from the newest set release Forest Friends. Sentiment from Forest Friends sent. set. I think they are the best! LOL!! I had so much fun making them different funky colors.
I then added some glitter all over it. Not sure if that was a good thing or not, as it did dull my awesome vibrant colors. Oh well-too late.
The Raspberry Fizz everything is amazing! Lovin the ribbon. I just love these colors.
Well my friends, I am on the run. I know I promised more to share, but that will most likely be the weekend post.
I do have a PTI Newsletter Project to share tomorrow, something that saved me with some of my gift giving this year for teaches and other people in my life!
So come back 😀

So super cute and sparkly! Love the layout too Lauren! I’m like you, hardly get things mailed and NEVER in a timely manner…so I donate my cards when I can as well.
Love the bright colors and the snail is adorable.
x Natasha x
This card is super adorable, the mushrooms remind me of the Smurf Village 😉 I’m more than confident that Sonia will love it 🙂
Hope you’re having a great day – looks like someone heard me when I said I was jealous of your now…looks like we’ve got a hefty amount coming our way tomorrow!
What family! Who has time for anything this time of year? Whatever happened to enjoying Christmas :O) I am having mine in January !!! things are cheaper and I need AT LEAST 2 to 3 more weeks to get everything done! I am a Grandma of an 11 day old, he is so precious! My first one and my daughter is in NEED of moms time! And people say that stay at home moms don’t do anything LOL
Hope you get all your stuff done! Take a few days off from this and concentrate on that! it will all be fine!

Aw, now I feel SO special. Thank you Lauren! Tracy is right, I LOVE it!
All I can say, is that despite how awesome your cards look on the computer, they are even more amazing IRL! All the detail you put into them…it really blows me away (and my stamping friends whom I lovingly show off your cards too every time they visit – I know, I’m pathetic. LOL).
I know you’re busy, so even if you never mail it out, I’m just honoured you made it with me in mind.
:o)
LOL…you speak to my heart! I make ALL kinds of treats and gifts for friends…and NEVER end up sending them, then feel badly they are late!!! I actually probably think about them more because of it…LOL. Currently I have my Christmas Letter done (but not sent), 3 sympathy cards to send, a gift I made for LAST Christmas, and a bunch of RAK thank yous!!! Wish me luck and you KNOW what my New Years Resolution will be…again.
I was looking at that forest friends set last night and I’m thinking I need it. This card is just to stinkin cute my friend.
This card is absolutely stunning!!!!
Hope you can slow down some and enjoy the Holidays with your family!!!! And yes, I’m also sooooo far behind that now I’m scrambling to get everything done. How did it sneek up on us so quickly?!?
Totally there with you in the craziness! Haven’t even made the Holiday pic of the kids since everyone was sick for so long. Haven’t made my Hanukkah cards either, and it’s the 22nd!! ARGH! Well you know, sometimes that’s just the way it is, I think everything will be late this year and I’m starting to accept it as a fact! 😉
The Holidays will be over before we know it, crazy….
P.S: Love the glitter all over the mushrooms, it makes them look like magic mushrooms…or hallucinogenic ones? LOL 😉
so cute and I like the glitter.
I too started my Christmas stuff way early this year, and I am still scrambling to get it all finished. I still have presents to buy, lots to wrap, and worse; presents to make. AH! Load me up with caffeine, I’ve got work to do.
Very cute card. Regarding thank you notes. I have given gifts and never received a thank you, either a card or a heartfelt verbal one. (as in not just thank you when you hand it to them but a real ‘I opened it and it is great’ type thank you). I still remember that, not bitterly but I remember. My advice, send the card no matter how long ago it was. I keep a list of gifts or kindnesses and tick off as I send them. Even if it is months later. They are always happy to get them! JMHO
Love the glitter and the snail is just too cute!
Lauren, I just want to wish you and your whole family and wonderful holiday season. I wish for you all peace, love and health for 2009. Also a big, huge thank you for your blog. I love reading it daily and seeing all you make and hearing about your lovely family.
Dear Dear Lauren ~ don’t fret (or sweat) the small stuff, and always try to remember, it’s the thought that counts 🙂 You give so much of yourself to this Blog and your DT responsibilities, so I’m pretty sure that majority of your friends, family and PSF understand and are dealing with the same time crunch as us all.
I believe this Holiday/Christmas pressure is strictly a female thing ~ I mean have you ever seen a man stressing to get his cards out on time, or trying to get all the grocery shopping done before XMas Eve? What about a man having anxiety over not having all the wrapping done or having the perfect decorated tree? Of course not, because us women are doing all the above! ha! And because we are born with that gene that always desires the perfect Christmas with the best dinner and best table setting and so forth, we drive OURSELVES crackers! We don’t even require any help, push or jab from our partner at this time of year … we probably start going over the ~edge~ way back at the beginning of November. HA!
Your card Lauren is sweet, and I for one like the sparkle/glitter all over the mushrooms as it reminds me of glistening flakes of glass reflecting in the sun. Really nice.
Not to worry Lauren, December 25th will arrive same as it does every year, whether you have created and finished everything you wanted to or not. And I’m sure it will be a magical Holiday for you and your family, afterall, they have you as their Mom, Wife, Daughter, Sister, Aunt and we can’t forget your most important job, their Christmas Organizer 🙂
Happy Holidays!
Well, color me enabled – AGAIN! TOO stinking cute.
