Well I’m getting ready to leave soon.
I sit here freaking out, missing my coffee, and SO thristy!
I have been too tired the last 3 days to exercise (which means I probably just should have), and planned on a nice long workout today before I went. Then I remembered-I can’t DRINK! So that is NOT a good idea. It would have been nice and cleared my head. I feel VERY LAZY! I normally only miss a day a week. Plus knowing tons of people are staring at my belly definitely should have motivated me to do more abs! LOL!
So I’m hoping to keep my brain occupied by typing a post before I go.
April Showers bring May Flowers planter box
This is a project in which the photo does it NO justice.
I made this box using My Timeless Template called The Perfect Match box.
This is a NEW! stamp image from Stampavie Rachelle Anne Miller SPRING collection called Giving Shelter. Wait until you see the amazing stuff being released. WOW!
Front view-
There is actually lots of shimmer and dimension to this. I had a BLAST coloring it. I love the colors.
Seriously how cute is this?
Here is a front view-I love how it is decorated!
Here is the side view
Now for the FUN part!
I used just the slider template, and made a FLAP!!!
That template is just so versatile I can’t even stand it 😀
Now lookie what is inside……..
2 little decorated flower pots!
Isn’t it cute?!It sold out of my Etsy store in MINUTES!!! Thanks everyone.
I used the Papertrey Ink Spring moss, summer sunset, and lavender moon for my colors, with the Bitty Baby Blessings paper
I can’t wait make and to add all the gift ideas I have. OH BOY!! I’m hoping to update the site with all the cards I have, and soon more gift items I have planned on making. Its going to be good!!!
I thought given the time I had this week that this image today was appropriate! You all have been wonderful in helping me and sending good thoughts my way for my surgery today. THANK YOU.
If you were sitting in front of me I would SCREECH! I feel like my walls are all falling in on me.
I did my best to get all the things on my list done, but it proved to be impossible. With all the kids being sick (Noah came home with a high fever and headache yesterday) ,then Alexa’s father informed me she was exposed to her cousin – who just found out she has MONO! GREAT!!!
Then that leads to the thoughts in my head about the surgery, my brain couldn’t let go.
I didn’t get ANY of what I needed to done. A first for me. Its upsetting, but I just couldn’t concentrate. Nothing was working out. The simplest thing was complicated and nothing came out worth using. Very upsetting, that the stress was just too much and KILLING my creativity. Hopefully as I recover, my mojo will too. I just can’t believe I couldn’t even get out of my own way this week.
As for the surgery I know this is no big deal but NOW I’m really starting to FREAK OUT.
I’ve never had ANYTHING done. I was in the shower when it occurred to me, what if I am one of those people who can FEEL everything, but can’t move? FREAKY right?!
Now FYI if YOU are going to have surgery don’t watch Grey’s Anatomy!!! Especially the last 2 weeks. It’s been about losing people in surgery that was suppose to be simple, then something weird goes wrong-and BAM! Dead.
I know I sound like a drama queen right now and I WAS fine, but now I’m not. I shouldn’t let my mind wonder.
I feel like a huge baby right now, seeing my LITTLE girl go through WAY worse than ANYTHING I ever had to go through and once I heard “catheter” for some reason it totally sent me over the edge.
I’m SO wishing it was done while I was in the ER last week. Then there was no thought to it.
I’m not saying I don’t want it done-I know I NEED it done!! I can’t even fathom the idea of another big attack. I’m just nervous.
I an sure Ill be OK and don’t know why Im rambling. Makes me feel a little better I guess.
Anyway-thank you for the support this past week. I’ll check in and let everyone know all the gory details like I usually do when its all said and-done and Im not doped up, so I actually make sense.
All my Stamp New England girls told me I need to get Twilight, so maybe Ill do that.
Well I’m off!
I should be out of surgery by 3pm EST!
Pray Im not a “statisic” OK! LOL!
Later.

Praying your surgery goes well and your recovery is quick! You’ll do just great I’m sure!
Hi Lauren, thinking of you today but I’m sure you’ll be fine. Looking forward to all the gory details! (is that wrong? lol) It’s absolutely normal to be apprehensive beforehand, it would probably be a bit more worrying if you weren’t! X
Hi Lauren,
Good luck with your surgery today. I know you will be fine, and everything will be ok. Know that warm wishes and prayers for a quick recovery are being sent your way!
Praying for you, that your surgery goes well….and it will! Next week you will look back and say it was not a big deal….BIG HUGS! 🙂
Good luck for your surgery – you’ll do just fine! I had the same thoughts as you when I was going in for a lap – we’re only human! Wishing you a speedy recovery xxx
Take a deep breath, Lauren. Everything will be okay. You have so many people thinking of you and praying for your quick recovery. Take it easy and take it slow…let your family take care of you. Now, more than ever, you deserve some “ME” time!!
Sending big hugs your way! You will be fine and back home relaxing before you know it!!!
Your project is so super sweet!
I’m off to pick an oldie but a goodies Sketch for tomorrow…lol…
Love your ideas Lauren and have made some great projects myself with your templates. Take it easy after your surgery – you’re such a busy bee!
Warmest wishes from Welsh Wales!
Prayers being said for a calm Lauren and a successful and simple surgery(if there is such a thing). I know you will spend the pre-op time thinking of all the cute things you plan to make to WOW us! Hope you take a sketch book with you! My neice is having surgery today to stabilize a cracked bone in her leg(from a collision w/her hubby while playing volleyball)! Hope the kids don’t share their germs with you as you recuperate! Happy healing thoughts sent your way.
lauren, i am wishing you a speedy recovery! hope everything goes well with the surgery.
Praying for you Lauren. Enjoy being pampered afterwords.
What a beautiful box Lauren! I’m keeping you in my prayers today, but I know you will be fine. Be strong!
Lauren, I will be thinking of you today, look forward to next post…updating all.
Love the box BTW, it’s gorgeous!
{{{hugs}}} Lauren! Just wanted to let you know that I am thinking of you and praying for an uncomplicated procedure and recovery! Make sure you take the time to recover before you jump right back in to everything!
And I highly recommend that you read the Twilight series while you are recovering! it is awesome!
Lauren – my prayers are with you and I know everything will work out great. Prayers are with your kids too.
Hugs, Kimmy
Hey there Lauren! Surgery is always scary… but at least its gallbladder and not heart right? I wish you a quick and painless recovery!
{{HUGS}} and good thoughts coming your way. Everything will be fine. Be sure to take it easy and don’t overdo too quickly.
Hey Lauren- your sample (as usual) was gorgeous. I love your simple cute prettyness and the colour pallets you choose. As for feeling ‘lazy’- I know what you mean. I’ve been bored of my routine and haven’t done it and now I’m in a rut. It’s just a matter of re-evaluating the ol’ priorities and remembering- we ARE allowed to slack every now and then 🙂 That being said- I will for sure pray for your surgery and quick recovery- good luck 🙂 And give yourself time to heal before jumping back in. <3 – brandie 🙂
Oh my gosh, what an adorable project! I hope your surgery goes well and that it doesn’t take too long to recover; it’s not easy being sick when you have children who need you to be on duty 24/7. Hope you have lots of help!
Everythings going to be fine and you recover faster than you think. Actually the laperscopic surgery is easy and you will be able to move around and recover faster. I will be praying for you and your kids
I love your little box, did you just add the flap by gluing in an extra piece for the flap? I have been thinking of you all week. Hugs and prayers for a safe surgery and a speedy recovery. Ann Lind
Lauren,
Hugs and prayers especially for you.
P.S. You’re an artist in every way! Tracy
Just wanted to let you know that I have been praying for you already this morning 🙂 I didn’t think you would be posting! I am sure that all will go well and you’ll be back up and around in no time!
Amber
Praying that your surgery goes smoothly and your recovery is speedy, Lauren!
Hi Lauren, wishing you all the very best for today. I had to have some surgery a while ago and it was worrying but I’m sure all of the nurses will put you at ease. You will be home before you know it, and will have put it all behind you. You’ll get your mojo back, it’s understable with all you have going on. Your pots are absolutely ADORABLE. Doesn’t look like you’ve lost your creativity to me at all!! LOVE how you’ve coloured it in too, the colours look beautiful. Look after yourself x
Oh honey! You’ll be great the kids will be fine and you’ll be back to your superhuman self soon. WIshign you lots of happy thoughts today 🙂
Praying for you!!! I know you will be up and going in no time. 🙂 {{{HUGS}}}
This is so fabulous, Lauren!! I love it!!
I’m praying for a successful surgery, and quick recovery. Hugs!!
Lauren, I’m sure everything will go just fine. I’m praying for your quick and speedy recovery. You are such a talented young lady and are so generous sharing your talent with all of us. Keep up the good work!
Hey girl! You’re probably already at the hospital… but I’ve been thinking about you and wanted to wish you a speedy recovery! Don’t worry about the catheter. I’m a surgery nurse and believe me — we’ve seen so many naked bodies that nothing seems ‘private’ to us anymore. We just look at everything the same as we would a big toe. 🙂 I’m sure the nurses will just be happy to have a patient who actually keeps their body clean. LOL! I’m sure you’ll be a pleasant relief from the other patients they see on a daily basis. And… surgery nurses/doctors do talk in the OR… but I’m sure you have nothing to worry about. It’s the people who have fungus growing out of their belly buttons… or the obese people who we find remote controls inside of their skin folds — those are the people who generate conversation while they’re asleep. (Wish I was kidding.) Anyway…. you’re a tough girl, so I know you’ll recoup just fine! Take care!
Hi Lauren..
Very Cute planter box 🙂
Wonderful colors.
*My thoughts and prayers
are with you today!
*Get Well Soon!!
*Hugs..Hugs..and more Hugs
As one who was misdiagnosed with gall bladder disease for almost three years, and ended up in the ER about once a week during that time for a shot of Torodol to kill the pain, I can confidently and enthusiastically state that you NEED this surgery. You will be fine. You have so many people here praying for you that I have no doubts. And man, you will feel so much better!!!!!!!!!! I cried when I got home from surgery (and I had complications from waiting so long to have it removed) and cried because I felt so much better than I had in so very long. We’ll all be thinking and praying for you!
adorable project! I’ll be praying for ya today!!!!
Here’s to a speedy recovery after a surgery that goes off without a hitch! Very sweet project, btw! :o) Remember that you don’t have to do everything! Take it easy and let others take care of you for a change :o)
Good luck with the surgery. If my 86 year old father could come through it OK, you should be OK, too. Try to get some rest!
Renee
Lauren, you are so amazing. I just love this project. It is so understandable that you feel the way you do. It is scaring no matter what you have done. My thoughts and prayers will be with you through this time. I am sending you lots of hugs and hope you are feeling a whole lot better soon!!
Lauren I’m thinking of you today & hoping all goes well! The surgery is quick & you’ll do fine—just make sure and rest and not try to do everything all at once (like I did & slowed my recovery, hee hee). We’ll all be here when you get back & yes, now is a great time to catch up on reading & blurfing :o)
hugz,
Suzanne
Praying for a speedy recovery! Take it easy and let the hubby take care of you.
Hey Lauren look on the bright side – you are totally NORMAL! everyone feels nervous about having any kind of surgery. You are not a baby, you are normal! That’s a good thing right?
I’ll be thinking of you.
I love this little box. It’s just adorable and a wonderful way to give the little flower pots!
God Bless Lauren. I’ll remember your surgery in prayer!
Lots of strength to you sweetie. I’m sure everything will be fine but I can totally imagine that you are freaked out. Take all the time you need to recover. I’ll keep you in my thoughts!!
xxx
Mariska
What a pretty box. I visit your blog regularly, and I just wanted you know that I along with so many other will be thinking of you today and wish you a speedy recovery.
Oooh, Lauren – you’ll be so glad you had this surgery. I’m hoping and praying all will go well today. And…I forgot to tell you last week – you’ll have pain from the gas settling in your shoulders and ribcage after the surgery. I think that’s the worst part of the recovery. Warm drinks and hot showers help it (if you read this while you’re hurting). As do pain pills. 😉 Have a speedy recovery!
What a cute project! LOVE IT! Thinking about you today as you have surgery — praying that it will go well without complications and that you’ll be back to your normal self soon.
Those stamp images are SOOOO CUTE! WOW, I will definitely have to check out that spring release! You did a wonderful job with them, Lauren!
Praying for a successful surgery and a speedy recovery for you!!!
Lauren, Just letting you know you are in my prayers today, and hoping that the surgery goes well, and you heal quickly. Have a good, restful weekend.
Sally
Well, I’ve just prayed for you-0–but you are probably out of surgery now—not that we can’t all use prayer ALL THE TIME! I hope you heal quickly—hugs~
Lauren, hugs and prayers for you during this time. Sometimes you just need to take time for yourself and let everything fall to the back burner. This is one of those times…dont’ worry that it didn’t all get done. It will work out.
Thinking of you! Good luck with the surgery and I hope that you get back to normal very quick. I hope the kids are feeling better too.
My prayers are with you for a speedy recovery – can’t wait for you to come back and tell us all about it!
Hugs!!
Hi Lauren, the first surgery is always the worst & scary but you’ll be fine. I’ll be thinking of you, good luck & I can’t wait to hear all about it in your next post but first you need to take care of yourself & rest before you post. I know I sound like a mother but of course that’s because I am!!! Take care sweetie!
Well, I am reading this as you should be getting out of surgery. My thoughts and prayers will continue to be with you as you recover. I can’t imagine what you are going through. I have been through a rather routine surgery, 15 years or so ago. It is scary no matter what. Take it easy and relax. That is the only way you will be able to fully recover.
Thinking of you, Lauren! I hope everything went OK, and now youre fine.
Lauren I hope all went WELL today~ I LOVE LOVE LOVE the cute box you made… I think I need that template too!!
Take good care..
OOHHHH never mind I have that template.. I gotta make one up.. 🙂
Thanks for sharing your AMAZING talent with us!!
Lauren-
You will be fine! 🙂 AND….Ramble whenever you need to. I love visiting your blog everyday, because you actually talk to us! 🙂 I am praying for you and for a quick recovery! 🙂
BTW, LOVE YOUR planter box! 🙂 DARLING….I need that set! 🙂
Hugs-
Kathy
Lots of hugs and wishes for a quick recovery! We are all praying for you – and the rest of the family too – hope everybody feels well real soon.
Marta
By now you should be completely done with surgery, but pretty loopy from the drugs. I had neck surgery last fall — didn’t even cross my mind to quit watching Grey’s, Private Practice, ER…they are my fav’s. Hope you mend quickly (hubby did about 8 years ago). We’ll miss you while you’re getting your wits back together to make sense on your blog…take care of yourself!
Lauren, I know it’s scary especially when you have kids to worry about, but you will be fine 🙂 I’m sure! Take it easy afterwards, your mojo and life as you know it will be back!
Best of luck 🙂 Nora Anne
Well hopefully you are recovering nicely by now. Can’t wait to hear all about it!
Hugs!! I am thinking of you and know that you will be so thankful you had the surgery.
Your project is too cute, as always.
Hang in there…hugs!
Well, I’m sure you’re out of surgery by now and a bit out of it. Get some rest and know that I’m praying for a fast recovery. Take care of yourself and get some rest!
—j\Jacqui
Hi Lauren~ I woke up this a.m. and remembered you were off for your *nip-tuck*, which I’m positive will be a sucess and over and done before you know it. The hard part for you will be trying to allow your body to recover 😉
Feel better and REST ~ we will all be thinking of you :0)
{{{Hugs}}}
Just want you to know that you’ve been in my thoughts and prayers.
Don’t worry about anything else but feeling better, okay?
Please have J give us an update, if he can….. I know he’ll be busy.

By the time you get this post, you’ll be back to yourself! Modern medicine is pretty incredible. I’ll be thinking of you in the meantime. When this is all over and you look back, you’ll wonder why it stressed you so….you’re such a strong lady!
Thinking of you and I know that your mojo will be back in a blink as soon as those naughty GB meanies are out of your body… Get some rest(haha!) As a Mom , I know how hard that is but this time it is you that needs some TLC. Remember, we are all pulling for you. Hugs from Michigan
Hey Lauren,
I had the same surgery two years ago. You will feel so much better when it is done. Make sure that you take it easy for a few weeks after, which I know is easier said than done when you have three kids.
Blessings,
Brenda

*BIG hugs* to you girl!
Wishing you well, Lauren and hope you are feeling great very soon! That is a darling box you did.
Praying that your surgery goes well and you’ll be back to your old self soon!!
99 posts. You are so blessed to have so many wonderful friends. I only wanted to say my prayers and thoughts are with you today, because I understand your anxiety. I’ve had LOTS done and no surgery is without risks. I won’t elaborate but that is how I lost my husband, to a routine procedure. Turned out to be a blessing as we didn’t know he had widespread cancer stemming from the pancreas. But I am waiting now to hear that you are home safe and with all this behind you God bless. I hope Alexa is doing better and I continue to pray for her also. You are such an amazing mom and an inspiration to us all.
Thinking of you Lauren and wishing you well.
Lauren, you sound just like me. I’m a nurse and I figure if something strange is going to happen, it usually happens to a nurse…………..Things are going to be over this afternoon and it will all be behind you. Won’t that be a great feeling!! Hope your recovery is speedy. You’re in my thoughts
Sending positive thoughts to you…I know about the freaking out thing…luckily…(hmmm- I guess)…when I had 3 surgeries in the last 3 years….after having NONE for 45 years (nor broken bones)…and never having anesthesia…(funny – how people just assume you did when you have a child)….I was freaking too when I fell and broke my foot and needed surgery to correct it and add a few metal pins (that was 2 surgeries) …it was pretty quick after “the accident” so I didn’t have time to think… but I sure did when I had MY gallbladder attack…which I thought was worse than the 24 hour labor I had…I got kept in the hospital for testing…blah blah blah…but all that freaking was for naught…it was fine….and if it hadn’t been allergy season I wouldn’t have even taken the pain meds after 2 days…but the sneezing was no good….thank God for throw pillows ;-)…helped holding it on my tummy with the dang sneezing…. so I know that you will be fine and have no problems….the pampering part though was pretty good, I must say…so best of luck to you and don’t do too much too soon when you get home, ‘cuz you sound like a real go getter, git-r-done kind a gal!
reen
Lots of love to you Lauren. By now it should be all over and you will soon be home. We love you. XX

Melissa from Washington
By now your surgery is over but I want you to know that you’ve been in my prayers. Best of luck for a speedy recovery. You are in such good shape now that I’m sure you will bounce right back.
As for not getting everything done that you planned to accomplish … well, have you ever heard the saying “if you want to hear God laugh, tell him your plans”? We can’t control everything, as you well know, so don’t beat yourself up!
Take care and get some rest! Vicki Rochester NY
