setimage2-413×540.jpg

Sorry Im SOOOO late with this post. I really needed a break, and we are trying to get our Easter stuff done, then I got side tracked with some MOJO, so I had to stamp 😀 All for FUN too!! Love that.

Plus I needed a card for Jay’s grandmother-its her b-day.

One of my photo lights broke, so I’m trying to find one to replace it-and WOW! They are pricey and hard to find. I really NEED it, so am hoping I can find one sooner rather than later.

I hope you have a great Easter weekend for those who celebrate it.

We are off to BUY a pre-made dessert for tomorrow. Normally I knock myself out trying to “do it all”. I always come up with some fabulous dessert idea. It takes a few hours to do. It’s always been that way, for every function, since I have been with Jason.

Don’t get me wrong, I have enjoyed doing it, but not really anymore. It’s another thing on my to-do list! I decided to let the stress of that just go. I do think I should definitely contribute by bringing something. I was taught you never go to someone’s home empty handed, and you always help in the kitchen and with clean up.

Anyway-letting it go just feels good. I didn’t make anything for Christmas either. I bought some tarts.

It doesn’t make sense anyway-I spend more on the ingredient’s than I would on a dessert that is just as fabulous , but already made, and saving me TIME!

OK so I do feel a “little” guilty about not bringing a home-made dessert, but I’ll get over it, while I’m stamping instead 😀

For those who asked Alexa seems to be OK! Thank GOD! She is at her father’s this weekend. I’m a little sad, she isn’t here, and missing some family stuff with us, but she really wants to be there, since they have a new baby.

Now lets get to the sketch!!

sketch-40.JPG click to enlarge.

We are keeping it in the corner-and SINGLE layer!!!

target-cherish-tomorrow.jpg Words to live by-

I so love this sentiment.

I used this flower by Stampendous, that my friend bought me a while ago. It’s amazing what you find when you dig through your PILES of stamp cases. I LOVE this image, and have not used it as often as I would have liked to.

Doing this helps me BEHAVE, and NOT buy unnecessary stuff-just because I like to get new things! LOL!

I made this after my card posted the other day, using colors inspired from some funky shorts I saw a Target.

The colors are white, gray, celery, and olive. The flower center is all green Stickels-really pretty in person. I liked the main image at that top corner, so not expected. Most of the time we put things in the bottom right, or left.

For me, I also don’t usually make cards that the focus is horizontal-isn’t that strange? I perfer a vertical layout.

Do you have any card quirks, like that, that you have noticed?

I also LOVE WHITE!!!! LOVE IT!!!!

I try to step out of the box and use more color-but sometimes you just dont need it-KWIM?

I love clean and simple-yet finely detailed cards. Theya re the one’s I am MOST drawn to in a store. Not sure why, they always capture my attention, but they do.

After my post —>HERE<—, I realized MANY of you need help keeping it S-I-M-P-L-E!

So for todays sketch, THAT is exactly what I need YOU to do.

You can add MINIMAL layer’s (if needed) but I perfer you keep it a SINGLE layer. If you get it to go a little off the edge-heck, even better.

You need to keep your main image to “A” corner. I don’t care which one-just do it.

Here is another example I did-so you get another idea.

corner-it-bird.jpg Bird on a Branch

This card uses my NEW! Birds Galore set by Inkadinkadoo, and the Papertrey Ink Birthday Basic’s set.

I stamped the bird in versamark, then heat set with Heat & Stick powder. Applied some copper foil for a neat look!

I then used my Scor-Pal, to create a light embossed border around the bird. SO subtle and pretty! Still needed “something” so I added the Maya Road velvet flowers, with some silver bling-for contrast!

Love it! Very simple-keeps my image at a CORNER!!! AND is ONE layer!

Now its your turn.

If you try the sketch post a link in the comment’s section. I hope you do-its a great one for quick cards, and a challenge for most!

The key is-DON’T OVER THINK IT! OK!

If you try the sketch-that allows you to enter for the stamp set 2x’s!!!

Tomorrow I will share my flower tutorial used on one of my Papertrey Projects!! I am also excited to soon share photos of the kids rooms-I may do a Smilebox, and the Thank You card I made for Kathie who made Daisy’s album!

OK now I’m off!

Till tomorrow.

WOW! It is so hard to believe I have been blogging a year! TIME FLEW BY!

I have come to get to know SO MANY of you, and you have read my babble on who knows what, for however long. You share with me and make me laugh and sometimes cry. What did you think of the PTI release? WOW! Huh?

Did you check out all the gallery of amazing ideas put together by the Design Team? Check in the March 08 Release!

In case you missed this one:

Here is the Sketch-Since Im doing a tutorial on the umbrella-it would be really cool if you could try it. If not just use the sketch. It still qualifies for ANOTHER entry, if done by Monday morning

sketch-39.JPG

If you try it please leave another link in the comments section.

I wanted to share with you how I made this card, for the Papertrey Ink release today!

NOTE: I will share a different project each day till they are done, along with whatever else I have to share.

pti-paper-patched-umbrella.jpg Shower of LOVE

I was inspired to create this by the sentiment, and the top decoration of the label! Plus I LOVED that patterned paper, and needed to showcase how nice it is!

SUPPLIES:

This is a cute shower card or invitation for baby or bride, using our pretty patterned paper as your umbrella!Stamps- Boxes, Bags & Tags, Favor It Weddingscardstock- PTI select white, Berry Sorbet, Sweet Blush

Patterned Paper-Pink Pattern Collection

Ink-PTI Palette in Berry Sorbet, Sweet Blush

Ribbon-PTI blush twill

other- wire, oval coluzzel, sm. oval punch, 1 3/8 circle punch, scallop punch, swiss dots embossing folder by provocraft

DIRECTIONS! Click to enlarge photos

You want to choose your paper first. Then decide if you want to use a round cutting template, or an oval. Either will work. The sample card at the top uses the circle, the sample card at the bottom uses the oval. I used a Coluzzel cutting template for these.

Follow same directions for either shape.

1) Cut three 1/2 circles or ovals

cut-3-pieces.jpg

2) Take the 2 paper’s which will be your sides, and place them patterns facing together. You have to trim them together so the side panels of the umbrella will be EVEN!

Trim into a crescent shape, leaving points in the middle

cut-side-pieces.jpg

3) Adhere the panels to the main umbrella base. Now use your SMALL oval punch, and slide bottom middle into punch.

You will hardly see the end corner’s of the side pieces. PUNCH.

bottom-umbrella.jpg

4) Now the edge pieces. Put your side in. You will put the piece in until you see the corner of the center piece. PUNCH.

Do this for both sides

side-umbrella.jpg

This is what it will look like-after punching

finished-umbrella.jpg

Now here is the finished card!

under-the-weather-pti.jpg

I used the new Simple Alphabet to create my sentiment.

This used Papertrey Ink Green Thumb, Simple alphabet, Everyday Blessings Patterned paper, Polka Dot ribbon in Spring Moss, PTI Select white, Spring Moss & Aquamist ink/cardstock, Polka Dot embossing folder, wire, coluzzel.

Well that is ALL!! I hope you enjoyed the tutorial and find time to give it a try.

I still have my guest designer stuff to show you-I SWEAR that will be tomorrow!!! I want to give it the proper attention!!!

It’s been a insane week here. I have so much still to do. I forgot this week is EASTER party stuff for the kids!! Now I gotta get cracking on some deadlines and get that stuff done too!

WHERE is March going? WOW! Time is whipping past me.

Once again, thank you so much for the support and checking in here.

Till tomorrow!

You never know just how much- (Saturday Sketch)

Mar 8, 2008 Author: mytime | Filed under: Cards, Saturday Sketch

you use your INDEX finger, of your dominant hand-until you SMASH it, in between the door!

I cannot tell you how bad that HURT! I actually got nauseous! I huge chunk of my pretty little finger, came off :C UGH! Let me tell you typing-OUCH! Just a continuous THROB!

I don’t even want to think of how my injury will affect my STAMPING! Oh, the horror.

My make up-lets just say the eyeliner looks like I let Amber put it on, and my mascara-definitely in honor of the late Tammy Faye – Baker!!

My hair-well that was a sight-its pretty long, and Jason had to comb it-double ouch! I now think I have the beginnings of Dread Locks. My curly hair is so not happy right now.

AND I cant button my own pants-I know TOO MUCH INFO there!

You really don’t realize HOW much you use that ONE silly little finger till its out of commission. I type awful as it is. I am now hen pecking the right side of the keyboard with my middle finger. Given how “chatty” I am-that is quite the workout 😀 Spell check is going to be saying the same thing, as I get a MORON alert emailed to me after they review this post! LOL!

Today is the Saturday Sketch. I have been on a MOJO HIGH!! I’m so on a roll! Wait till you see the Papertrey Ink release!! WOW!!! That kicked my creativity into HIGH gear! I have a bunch of great stuff done for that-so you will obviously have to wait a little to view the fruits of my labor.

Anyway-this week I have some great projects to share. Love my colors and layouts this week! Plus new stuff I bought! Can you say Spender Bender? Um, YEAH!!! More on that this week.

I LOVE my sketch this week! I was driving home from getting Daisy from the groomer’s and saw a sign for a T-Shirt place. I drive by it SO much but for some reason this day I noticed that it just had this logo that caught my eye, and inspired my design!

—>HERE is the logo

Now here is the sketch!

Embrace Happiness!

   embrace-happiness-butterfly.jpg   sketch-38.JPG Click to enlarge

See-inspiration is EVERYWHERE! I know MY design is a little different than the logo, but it was my starting place!

I do have another great take to create with this sketch that JUST hit me! Maybe Ill do it today (finger problem deciding), and post it later!

I felt REALLY happy when creating this card, and I think my mood is reflected by my choices for it.

The sentiment from Mixed Messages-Embrace Happiness was exactly what I was feeling. I believe that happiness is something you need to accept, and search out! We make our own happiness possible. By the life we live, the choices we make, and the way we look at things.

This sketch takes your eye from the corner of the card, to the focal point.

I LOVE circles-and using them in my designs.

I also LOVE butterflies-as you all know! They make me SOOO happy!

So I used Butterfly Kisses for this (my very first PTI set). To get the well blended look-I always use glossy white card-stock, then blend my ink choices. It really makes the colors blend SO well together, EASILY!

I went to a local area Stamp store and got some DELICIOUS  Paper Salon paper-Sweet Shoppe (and a million other yummies!!!) I LOVE pink and chocolate combined-so this was PERFECT!!

I highlighted the circle focal point by using the dotted image from Borders and Corners circle set. It also continue’s the dots from my butterfly!

The large choc. circle is my nestibilities :D. I puncheda large flower- 2 x’s and layered it. I then added a Bazzill flower in the center. I put my butterfly smack in the center! Like it just landed there!

I LOVE the By Definition set by Stampin Up! I think it is a great purchase for a timeless set. I have already felt it to be worth every penny! If you are on the fence I say go for it!!! Dont I always though? LOL!

OK my finger is KILLING me, so I need to run!

I hope you get to try the sketch! Its a great one to flip on the side too. I kept it pretty clean so you can feel free to embellish as you wish without feeling restricted!

Send us a link here if you do try it out, so we can all see your take on it!

I also want to share my NEW SIGNATURE!!! See end of my post 😀

Thanks to Katie’s blog-Check it out –>HERE. She ROCKS!

OK Im off-

Till later-or tomorrow!

Sketch Challenge time

Mar 2, 2008 Author: mytime | Filed under: Cards, Saturday Sketch, Uncategorized

black-bird.jpg Pretty Partridge thank you-

Well we have gotten slammed with snow :C AGAIN

I wanted to thank you all, who shared your stories, and “ick” for my traumatic mouse drama! We are up to 21 and counting. Jason refuses to get De-con-due to last year, they died and you could smell it in the basement.

Id rather smell the DEAD mice, than have them ALIVE anywhere. I told him he has his choice of D’s its Dec-on or Divorce! LOL! OK I would not divorce him-but you get my dire situation.

He has the weekend to ge these things DEAD!

I heard alot of people in New England are having issue’s with rodents due to the extreme amount of snow we have gotten. There is literally NO FOOD or anywhere else for these critters to stay-OH WELL!!

Thanks for the adive for prevention and devices we can get to get rid of them. Jason is going through the comments this weekend and deciding on the best option for us.

Anyway-gross!!!

I also wanted to say the I went to Stamping Memories-our local SS and got the heart scallop nesties!! Thanks to all who referred me to places. I do have the solid hearts already. I was also able to get the scallop/plain ovals! Im very IMPATIENT and hate waiting for things to ship. I also need them for a project, and can’t keep Paulette’s forever (although I was thinking about it! LOL!)

For all who asked- I personally only like/need the LARGE sets. If I were to only get one-I started with the rectangles. You can make then square, and for me are my most used shape for cardmaking. Its really is a personal opinion and we are all different.

I get dozens of emails everytime I post asking about the sandwich for the nesties in the Cuttlebug. I always answer them, but figure I shold just link you all to the best place for info.

Sharon had a huge write up, full of info on the Craft Critique-so check that out—> HERE. Its a great read, and full of ALL you ever wanted/needed to know. Thank YOU Sharon for taking the time to do ALL the research,  for us here in stamp land.

She is also having a give-away there so check it out!!!

In case you missed it, I did post the SKETCH on my blog yesterday, just not my samples!

sketch-37.JPG here it is-click for larger view.

Now here is another sample-

A for Always

mytime-su-glazed-bird.jpg
As promised I have 2 samples for the sketch! BOTH use Stampin Up!

I just LOVE the 2 sets in this post! LOVE!!

I am a HUGE bird image lover-HUGE. These sets are really good too. I will say I wish they had a co-ordinating flourish that matches the design in the bird of the Always set. I’m annoyed that there are “elements” of the bird, but not the flourish.

Anyway, I stamped and embossed the bird with Glassy Glaze. Made it more epoxy like. I alway have to color in the hollow flourish on it too-no idea why-I just do!

This also uses the paper Ginger Blossom, which is REALLY PRETTY!!

Now the top card-that one used the Hostess set Spring Solitude. I love that one too.

I decided to pair it up with some rub-on’s that are part of the SAB freebie’s. I really like rib-on’s, and that set is really cool.

It was one of those done in like 5 minute’s cards, that later inspired my card above. I just love white, black and any pink. In case you have yet to notice, I’ve been on a kick with these colors.

Ah! Well that is all for today. I hope you get to play with the sketch, and send us a link here so we can view it! I really enjoy seeing your take on it. Oh and remember-you can do them ANYTIME, and tweak them to suit you! There are no “rules”! Just a starting point for inspiration 😀

Till tomorrow!

Do you know what time it is?????????

Feb 23, 2008 Author: mytime | Filed under: Cards, Saturday Sketch

Sketch Time!

Sorry this is late. Instead of stamping yesterday, I took a nap!

Amber was more than willing to cozy up with me and take a nice 2 hour nap! Gotta LOVE that. Its not often, and after this week, I was just wiped out. It was very needed.

When I posted 2 weeks ago about what stamp companies people wanted to see me use in my Saturday Sketch,  MOST of you had never heard of Green Grass Stamps! WOW!

I have had samples on here over the last year, but think they have just gone un-noticed. So I decided today to introduce you-if you haven’t been before-to Green Grass Stamps——HERE

If you want to check out daily samples-the Owner Tammy, has a blog, and she as well as the other Green Grass Stamps designers, have daily samples for you to get plenty of ideas.

You will see many of my samples there as well. Just scroll away! I have one there for yesterday, as a matter of fact.

So check it out——>HERE.

OK so the Sketch! Click for a larger view

sketch-36.JPG

Here is my Thank You bloom

mytime-gg-flower-filled-thank-you.jpg

I love this combo of colors. Its Kraft, pomegranate, pale plum, and Spring Moss (by PTI)

I have NO idea who makes this paper, and Im so bummed because I NEED more! Im in love with it.

I used the Thank You set for the flower center on this card. Stamped with Pomegranate, onto the plum, then punched with the ? 1 inch circle.

I then punched 2 pieces of plum card-stock with SU! Scallop. Used scissors to snip the scallops, for flower petals. Then sponged them with ink. The first one in plum, the second with pomegranate ink. Layered them together-then added the “thank you” center.

mytime-flower-gg-closeup.jpg close up of the flower/leaves

The “leaves” for my flower are the PTISpring Moss twill (which is WAY better than Twill you find else-where. Its thinner, and luxurious. Its my favorite of the ribbons-as it has a pretty look with a satin like texture-gorgeous!.

I believe I first saw this flower, created from the SU! Scallop punch idea on MJ’s blog. Sorry I don’t have time to hunt it down, since it was months ago. But, you can check her out. She has TONS of amazing ways to use that punch. You can just get lost there for a few hours.

So there is your sketch!!

I hope you have time to give it a try. Its never too late 😀

Just send us all a link in the comment’s section, so we can all see your take on it.

If you check out Green Grass I’d love to hear what set caught your eye, and what set YOU think is MY favorite!

Well Im off! Amber wants to take a trip with mommy to the stamp store. Can’t say NO to that, now can I?

Till tomorrow

SORRY! OK I want to say Im SOOOOO sorry I didn’t do a sketch with the A Chemistry With Paper set-YET! I hope to return later (I am going to stamp this morning), with a sample using their images, just as the winner asked.

My stamp time this week was limited to MUST DO.

I had a crazy week and with the Papertrey Ink release and whatnot, plus Valentine’s day-blah, blah, blah, and tutorials, with emails , so it just didn’t happen 😀 SORRY again

So here is a sketch I LOVE!!!! You know I HAVE to include circles whenever possible. I hope you like it too.

You can see this card as one of the World Card Making Day winners on page 66 of the March 08 issue of Paper Crafts!

I was THRILLED because I only sent in 2, and I “felt” this was a winner :D. The other one was too involved I think. Oh well. We got a MONDO box of amazing stuff for winning. Really cool.

Stitched Stem Thanks

mytime-stitched-stem-thanks.jpg       sketch-35.JPG Click to enlarge.

This card uses all stamps by Lizzie Anne Designs. Flowers by Its a Party. thanks from Just Words, little flower from Daisy Dots.

I faux stitched the stems, and used Stickles for my flower centers.

The paper is by Memory Box-Sugar Collection. The dots repeated the pattern in the flower, as well as the pierced stems 😀

I hope you take the time to try it out. I would love to see your take on it 😀 So send us a link so we can all view it.

Thanks for reading and playing.

Im off to do that special card as promised. I HOPE to get it uploaded BEFORE Jay and I have a date! But if not I will post it tomorrow-

Thanks for understanding 😀

Later-

YEAH! Its Saturday! My favorite day of the week for SO many reasons.

First let me share the sketch with you all! Click it for a larger view 😀

sketch-34.JPG

Jason is home-and cooks the best breakfast EVERY weekend.

He knows my FAVORITE is waffles, so he makes the BEST homemade waffles for me!

The kids so look forward to it. Noah is Jay’s best buddy, and just loves having daddy home- especially if it involves them playing video games together. Its hilarious to watch them. They make the same faces, and know just when to hi-5! LOL!

I plan on hitting the stores before the storm hits, then Jay,the kids and I will all cuddle up on the couch and play  the new Wii we got yesterday. WOW it is as cool as they claim!

I have to admit its actually alot of fun! I am NOT a video game person, but Jason loved that I actually played. He wanted one so I would join in the fun. We stayed up WAY too late, and now are paying the price. The kids are up nice and early. Isn’t that always the way?

Now that we have this I’d love to hear what games people are finding the most fun, especially if you have small children 😀

OK so I had the winner of Mytime Mail picked by Random.org, for what will be used for Saturday’s sketch next week.

So here is to our winner:

Simple Sketch- MFTeaser

Feb 3, 2008 Author: mytime | Filed under: Cards, Saturday Sketch, Uncategorized

deep-sympathy-mft.jpg  sketch-33.JPG click for larger view

Today’s sketch is a very simple one. You all seemed to really like the cleaner, less layered one’s.

It can be used with just about ANY image.

You know I LOVE my circles, but really any shape will do.

It can be solemn, cutesy and elegant.

When creating this card I used my new-yet to be released set by MFT  called Eggstra Special Easter. Sentiment is Essential Sentiments also by MFT.

REMEMBER! This week is what we are going to call an MFTeaser 😀 I have a super cool gift idea, using one of the new sets that you aren’t going to want to miss. I may just post it Wednesday. Not sure yet.

HINT: It is a template 😀 So I have to make sure I write up a nice detailed direction list. (WINK)

My Favorite Things (www.mftstamps.com) is having a New Release Cocktail Party on Wednesday, February 6 from 9-11 p.m. Eastern time. Lots of fun is planned including finding out how YOU can be the next MFT Guest Designer. Head over to the MFT forum on www.splitcoaststampers.com to find out all the details and join us there on Wednesday night.

I plan on being there to chat it up with all my girls.

That being said-back to my card.

I LOVE tulips! They are my favorite flower. No idea why, they just are.

So when creating this, it was going to be whimsical, but it then turned into asimple sympathy card (that God willing will never get used). I think sympathy cards should be kept clean, solemn, and maintain some elegance.

This, to me has all that.

I hope you like the sketch.

Great for a quick card, but it can also be dressed up!

So let see what YOU can do with it.

Don’t forget to send us the link in the comments section OK! We all want to see your take on it.

Till tomorrow.

Saturday Sketch-You made my day-and a story

Jan 26, 2008 Author: mytime | Filed under: Cards, Saturday Sketch

makemydayawardsmall_45b15d_thumbnail.jpg

What an honor to make someone’s day. I was so happy to receive this badge. I pass this along to all of you-who I have come to know and become friends with. I am awful about tagging people.

People who comment, leave funny stories and send me emails. All of you who just stop by or have followed my life, in any way, you all make my day-everyday!

My inbox gets flooded often but I read EVERY blog comment, and email I get! Each one truly makes MY day!!! I know, I said that already, but I mean it.

On another note-I have tag’s I have yet to do, and people who have sent me these cute little things to post, that  I made their day in same way (THANK YOU!!!). Now I can’t find who else has now, because of a flood of emails and whatnot but Melanie sent me this yesterday! I was determined it WOULD get posted!

Thanks Melanie.

Isn’t that so sweet of her?

That reminded me that I had her super-duper adorable set Just So Hippy, that has NOT seen ink!

Now you have to know I LOVE giraffes! Part of the fun (for me) naming Noah-Noah was the Noah’s ark theme 😀 He will hate me someday I’m sure. You an’t name your kid Noah, and NOT go with a Noah’s ark theme! Its like naming your daughter Summer and she is born in the dead of winter-you just can’t do it 😀

The day I found out I was pregnant I had seen this little giraffe by GUND. I knew I wanted it if I were having a boy. Once we had our ultrasound, and all was well, my friend Melissa bought Raffee for Noah. We had already picked this name about 3 hours after finding out I was pregnant! So it was good it was a boy!

Since birth he has slept with that giraffe. I brought him to the hospital with me.

Here is one of my favorite photos of Noah with him.

He is 11 months old here. See how he looks at him? PRECIOUS!

 noah-loves-raffee.jpg

He would hold him by the neck, and crawl/walk around the house. Where Noah went, Raffee went.

He would often look at him-like in this photo, then hug and kiss him. It was adorable! He loved him to pieces. Now he is tattered, and worn. He has that well-loved look to him.

He still has Raffee and sleeps with him every night.

I have a keepsake frame box ready for the day Noah is ready to part ways with him. I will save him to have when he has his first baby. OK Now Im getting all sappy over this, so let’s move on shall we?

My point is that when I saw this set it reminded me of Raffee!

So I had to get it.

I figured in thanks to Melanie, I should use the set SHE designed, and share my story as to why I always say “awe” every-time I see a giraffe.

It also made a great sketch 😀 Simple-but great.

Here is my first card using the set.

How supah cute is that giraffe?

I colored it using my copic’s, and put fun flock on the spots.

I used the For Peep’s Sake collection as my inspiration. I just love it.

Here is another-

mytime-flutter-thanks.jpg Flutter thank you

The point of making a second is to show you, you can basically take the long image and put it on either side! Whatever suits your fancy.

In place of a circle, is this butterfly I made it using Fantasy Film-in a pink tone. The butterfly is from a Stampin Up! set-one of my fave’s -Touch of Nature. The flower’s are another favorite-Stem Shilouette’s.

When I got a smaple of this Cherie paper by SEI, I fell in LOVE! Hello pink & brown (my favorite combo) GLITTER with flowers and butterflies! It’s a little piece of paper heaven!

So I used my markers and colored the bloom, then added some stickles. The thank you-is a rub on my Making Memories.

The 2nd butterfly is punched with a Martha Stewart punch, and shows the back pattern of the paper.

Overall clean and simple.

I would love for you to try this weeks sketch! Send on over a link-so we can all see what you do.

Thanks for reading and playing along 😀

SIMPLE Sketch-

Jan 19, 2008 Author: mytime | Filed under: Cards, Saturday Sketch

mytime-love.jpg Circle of love

I figured MOST of my sketches have funky layer’s. This time I felt like we should KEEP IT SIMPLE!!!

I love clean and simple. I am also planning on “stepping it up”! LOL! I want to do another card layered, with the same sketch idea.

sketch-31.JPG click to enlarge it.

I love incorporating circles in my designs, so thought this card would be a great one for today.

I DO agonize about the weekly sketch, as I try to make it fun, fresh, easy, and exciting. I did ponder if this was TOO plain. But I will let you decide 😀

So, for THIS card, I was re-organizing my “supplies”. This is something I like to do often.

My space has to be clean and spotless for me to get creative. Sometimes my supplies in bins get unorganized. So it was time to reclaim my totally organized space!

I was also inspired because one of my reader’s asked how I know what I have, and how I find it all! LOL!

Well I do have “bins” for each thing. Such as -BLING has a bin, fun flock has a bin, stickers, have a bin, rub on  also have a bin, acrylic frames and ghost shapes and the like have a bin-you get the idea. SO things have their place.

As I organized, I came across the red sticker you see in the upper left. They were in the Target $1 spot like 2 years ago! I know I hoard alot :C So I figured it would be fun to use it. I had forgotten all about it actually.

So I used my Green Grass set, which I am SADLY realizing as I type this-has been discontinued :C It was one of her Alpha’s, in which the name escapes me now. But any word could do the same thing. She has a bunch of sentiments/words/alpha sets.

So I stamped the “love” word several times onto white card-stock.

The what I did can be done with any word. I used the “love” sentiment, and stacked it onto each other, coloring 1/2 the letters in a darker color to create a “block” word that says love, once stacked on each-other. I made it POP out at you, by using a making memories page pebble.

I then used my Coluzzle to cut the circle. I stamped a large frame circle (PTI Borders and Corners circle set) with white craft ink, onto my base, then fit the stamped circle into it.

Added my sticker, and ribbon.

I then did the same “love” sentiment in the lower right corner.

Now please use whatever you want in YOUR circle! You can use images, may your own paper, whatever you choose.

I hope you have time to try it out. If you do send me a link here so we can all see YOUR take on the sketch! I HAVE NO “rules” about my sketches, just that you have fun. Use them how you wish.

As always, thanks for reading.

I am off to my LSS AGAIN! I may take Amber with me 😀 She loves to shop too.

Tomorrow is the 20th-which means it is  Dirty Challenge time! All past and present Dirty Dozen girls get together with a “theme” for a challenge! So check back then!!!
