Today’s sketch is a very simple one. You all seemed to really like the cleaner, less layered one’s.
It can be used with just about ANY image.
You know I LOVE my circles, but really any shape will do.
It can be solemn, cutesy and elegant.
When creating this card I used my new-yet to be released set by MFT called Eggstra Special Easter. Sentiment is Essential Sentiments also by MFT.
REMEMBER! This week is what we are going to call an MFTeaser 😀 I have a super cool gift idea, using one of the new sets that you aren’t going to want to miss. I may just post it Wednesday. Not sure yet.
HINT: It is a template 😀 So I have to make sure I write up a nice detailed direction list. (WINK)
My Favorite Things (www.mftstamps.com) is having a New Release Cocktail Party on Wednesday, February 6 from 9-11 p.m. Eastern time. Lots of fun is planned including finding out how YOU can be the next MFT Guest Designer. Head over to the MFT forum on www.splitcoaststampers.com to find out all the details and join us there on Wednesday night.
I plan on being there to chat it up with all my girls.
That being said-back to my card.
I LOVE tulips! They are my favorite flower. No idea why, they just are.
So when creating this, it was going to be whimsical, but it then turned into asimple sympathy card (that God willing will never get used). I think sympathy cards should be kept clean, solemn, and maintain some elegance.
This, to me has all that.
I hope you like the sketch.
Great for a quick card, but it can also be dressed up!
So let see what YOU can do with it.
Don’t forget to send us the link in the comments section OK! We all want to see your take on it.
Till tomorrow.

Tulips are the official flower of Parkinson’s. 4.5 years ago when my husband was diagnosed with Parkinson’s at the young age of 49 I was big into tulip stamping. I have continued with this and use the cards as donations for PD fundraisers, cards for people in our PD support group, and for other causes related to PD. Your card is adorable!!

Well, you have me curious about this MFTeaser. Hmmm… can’t wait to see!
I really like this sketch – in fact, I have some ribbon that would be perfect for this. I can’t wait to try it out today.
Have an awesome day!

Have a great Sunday and enjoy your little Superbowl party!
Fun sketch, Lauren! I made a card using the sketch, and combined it with the color challenge on Taylor’s blog. You can see it here: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/799402?cat=500&ppuser=122849
Sorry if the pic is still *far away*. I cropped the photo and reloaded it on SCS, but I’m still waiting for the changes to go through.
Enjoy your day! 🙂

I also LOVE tulips. They are my favourite flower, and I would choose a bouquet of tulips over roses or anything else every time.
Thanks for the sketch.
Congrats on your design team selection. It is well deserved. You rock!!
