Well I think pretty much every person who has seen the AMAZING Level 1 Hostess set- So Many Saying set, their inital thought was “How can I cut this up!” LOL! Not sure if anyone actually DID, but that was my thought too.
Then, I did!
I LOVE my un-mounted sets these days. Plus I wanted to use the sentiments separately NO STAMP-A-MA-JIG. So while using my Lizzie Anne sets I thought HMMMM, this is a rubber image, with foam, and a weird plastic that clings to acrylic blocks. There has to be a way!
LIGHTBULB moment people.
So, I ran to my Paper Salon Tailored Tins. I remember getting them and having to put this static cling layer on the bottom of the tin to make their cling mounts stick to the tin bottom.
So I got out a set, and peeled off the cling. Why did I really need it there anyway right?
PHOTO here
Once it was off, I pulled the paper backing off my SU! set and placed the sticky side onto the non sticky side of the clear plastic I pulled form the tin.
I then trimmed my stamps as usual
See the shiny clingy stuff stuck to it? I have no IDEA if there is a place to buy the cling stuff that Lizzie Anne, Paper Salon and other companies use, but I hope to find out.
(In other words-Meridith or Trisha if you read this feel free to respond :D)
Now here they are sticking to the inside of my SU! container

As you notice from the top photo I just stuck the stickers to the top of my storage box. That way I know for quick reference what the sentiments are.
I hope this helps you get the courage to GO FOR IT! I’d love to hear from you if you tried it, or have any other cool ideas.
Enjoy!

I really thought of doing the same thing, however I didn’t know I could get the cling effect. Thanks for posting this!!!
Lauren I sure hope you get an answer to your question because I want to do the same thing to this set. I was also wondering about remounting the rubber onto the cling foam you can buy at some of the online stores but I’m not sure how to do it. Please keep us posted on what you learn. Thanks, Ann
SWEET! I thought ofgoing unmounted with this one, but couldn’t figure out how to with the adhesive backed foam…now to find some of that clear ‘plasticky’ stuff…I wonder if saran wrap would work?? I don’t think I will try it.
Although – Paperosity has thin EZ mount…hmmmm…*Wheels are turning*
Very clever! I was wondering how I going to mount mine separately without making separate blocks! You rock girl!
You can peel the rubber from the Stampin Up foam and mount it on EZ mount.
I didnt have enough, and was too lazy to try it!
Just simply brilliant!
You can buy what you call ‘static cling’ at various on line stamping stores. The product is most often called vinyl cling and is very inexpensive.
I have also heard about mounting the SU foam onto transparencies and then painting the back with Aleen’s tack it over and over… which is stickier than the cling and a lot cheaper, too… I hope to try this!
You can buy the cling stuff-I did at the stamp show several years ago. I got it for the stamps that were not on static foam. I havent used it yet but I have it stashed somewhere. I think it was less than 10 bucks for a huge roll. I dislike the glues that are temporary tack as I have cats and there is always cat hairs somewhere. another thought-at JOann’s they sell thin vinyl and it might work for the same idea. probably cheaper but I would take a stamp into the store and try it on a corner first.
Very cool! I was thinking the same way with this set. I do have one Paper Salon tin set. Will definitely use that vinyl!
I was just reading some of the comments and the vinyl that you get at the craft stores does not stick to the blocks very well. Maybe the stuff that you tried is better, but I didnt really like the vinyl stuff that I had (grafix window cling). Hope it works out great for you. Keep us posted on if you are stamping and cleaning your stamps to see if you still like it.
I have been debating doing this, and haven’t been able to bring myself to do this! I’m even a TAC demo, so I have no problems with unmounted stamps, but it’s killing me the idea of umounting an SU set, even though it totally makes sense to do it! My friend just sent me this link and told me to GO AHEAD and UNMOUNT them already! Thanks for an extra push!
SHUT UP! I have been trying to find the ‘smart cling’ stuff online, the stamp stores … My so many sayings is just sitting here untouched (imagine the horror) …and I have oodles of PaperSalon tins! GURL! You have made my day!

EZ mount is your answer! Been using it for years. works everytime.
found at link above or at www. sundayint. com (remove spaces) click on EZ Mount in the top left under mounting supplies. Happy stamping!
just another quick note – in case you find you like the ez mount so much you do want to unmount your wood mounted stamps… pop them in the microwave for a few seconds to loosen the adhesive. Happy Stamping!
If you just want to use vinyl cling – by Graffix – that works too – you don’t have to buy the cushion – thin or regular – as long as your stamp’s cushion is still good (or brand new!) – I unmounted all of my SU sets.
I saw your Onesie cards on mjalbrights website, they are darling!!!!! Where can I find a pattern? I want to use them for invitations to my daughters baby shower!!!
