Rain, rain go away. Come again another day.
Feels like Spring here in New Hamsphire. The rain adds to that feeling. I think it’s somewhere around 60’s today.
I am still in Spring mode here. Ready for flowers to bloom, and cheery colors.
Done with viruses and pneumonia, and the kids being stuck inside. (NOTE: Alexa and Amber are doing very good! Thanks) Too bad I have a ways to go till winter has past. Maybe THAT is why my kids are killing eachother these days.
Noah use to be my headache. He is now “the good child”. Amber and Alexa cannot even be in the same room, without an all out brawl!
I tried to bring out some fun, by letting the kids play with Moon Sand. OMG! That stuff is AWFUL!
DO NOT BUY IT! DO NOT OPEN IT! IT WILL SELF DESTRUCT!
My play room looked like a mini beach!
Yes, I put down garbage bags even-before the play began. Hoping to capture the sticky sand, but NO! Sticky sand or not-SAND IS SAND, and it made a mess.
Let me tell you-Moon Sand will NOT make another appearance here in my house till it is warm enough to play OUTSIDE!!
Thanks MOM! That was a GREAT idea. I’m sure you giggled all the way home from the store when you were thinking of the FUN I would have cleaning it up.
When we were kids that stuff would not have gotten BOUGHT, let alone played with. Oh the joys of being a grandmother I imagine.
OK back to my card! LOL! Don’t know how I got so off topic. Maybe the clumps I keep finding in wierd areas of the house………………. but anyway…………
I LOVE using images in a way they aren’t meant for OR expected to be used like. I was in a BRIGHT mode when I made this card.
Here is my first example
For this card I used Papertrey Ink Limitless Labels, Green Thumb, and Beautiful Blooms.
The blooms are die cut with my Cuttlebug Flowers #1 folder.
I LOVE how Nichole makes sets that interchange with each-other, effortlessly.
The colors were inspired by my ribbon.
The label became a band.I love all the scalloped edges this has, as well as its dimension and POP! You can’t see it here-but this is very dimensional. The flowers a really popped up too.
I then took the idea and went more subtle with it
Is this not so different? For me anyway.
On this card I used-Limitless Labels, and Text Boxed.
I just went with a shabby , scrappy, sorta naturey-I dont know how to describe it kinda look. 😀
Notice more sewing! How fun that is lately. Im getting my use for the $4 sewing machine! (PS-MY AREA- They sold out a while ago! I went back to check on those and the cupcake stands-GONE! SORRY!)
I LOVE River Rock and Soft Sky. They are just so gorgeous together.
I just loved both of these. As different as they are, I think it shows ANY stamp set can be used for ANY style. Just put your own lil twist on it, and don’t be intimidated!
I say that now, but I have that Crafty Secrets- Kitchen set-never inked-that petrifies me to even touch it! LOL! So not LAUREN. I get a headache looking at it. The weird thing is I DO like it? So what is up with that?
But Papertrey…………………..OMG! It screams LAUREN BUY ME! USE ME! LOVE ME!
I haven’t gotten much time to play with my new stuff, but hope too soon.
Hope you are having a great day!
Don’t forget its MFT’s New Release! Today.
Till tomorrow.

The river rock and soft sky card is so elegant! Love it! I wish we had a Rite-Aid store near us. The stitching adds so much to the card.
Love the cards Lauren, and especially that polka dot black ribbon!
We had the exact same experience with the Moon Sand, and we’ve also outlawed it in our house. It looks so user-friendly in the commercials, but it’s evil.
Your cards are INCREDIBLE! I love them…you do PTI stamps justice girl!!!!! I know what you mean about having to buy them–that is totally me. And as for moon sand. Yes, we own it. Yes, it is a mess. Yes I curse EVERY time it comes out. BUT…it makes my boy happy and he gets SOO creative. I actually read somewhere that this is the kind of tactile experience that will help him with his SPD too.
Lauren – those cards are gorgeous! I love how you used Limitless Labels in other ways. I can’t wait to get that set and the few others I don’t have! Thanks for the inspiration! Geny
Both of these cards are gorgeous!!! I love all the bright colors used on the first one!!! So Springy looking!!!
I’m sorry, but I just had to laugh at the description of the Moon Sand!!! And then the comment about Mom/Grandma not buying it for you when you were little, but for the grandkids. Being a grandmother now, I can soooo relate to this!!! LOL!!!
Hope the kids are all feeling better soon. As for Alexa and Amber fighting, I used to make my kids sit on the couch and hold hands when they were like this!!! After a few times of that, all I had to do was threaten them with holding hands and they straightened up!!!
Bright and cheery… just like you! Love the first card…absolutely love it! The paper is so cute and fun!
The second one is so soft and pretty…
Great job on both!
Talk to you later ~ Hugs to you and the kiddies!
Renee
Hmmm…Moon Sand…something to put on my list for when I have grandchildren. I cannot imagine the mess! Anyway, I love both of those cards but the one at the top is right up my alley – very colorful! Where did you find that ribbon – I love it!
These are such lovely cards, love the flowers and brightness of your first card and your stamping on the second.
I love both your cards!! So very springy. I know what you mean about the weather, here in michigan it has been 60 for the past few days and rainy, certainly not winter in January!!TFS
You crack me up. I do believe your mom had a plan with that toy!
Your cards are lovely! And you should break into that crafty secrets set…….see what happens!
Thanks for the warning with Moon Sand!! LOL
I love how you used the labels. I have been eying them, even though I don’t “do nuggets” thinking they had to be tons of other uses for them. Thanks for sharing some! 🙂
I luv the bright bold colors in your first card…it yells out SPRING!!! At least we can look at those beautiful colors & hope for spring to come soon! Don’t think so though. I luv the colors & elegance of your second card, put together very nicely, I luv them both! It was a beautiful for a few days here also, hope the trend continues, but you know as well as I do that New England weather is sooooo unpredictable! Can’t wait to see what you make next.
Lauren, yes your mother was laughing all the way home from the store. She is probably still laughing even harder if she reads your blog. Pay back is Daisy’s crate. 🙂 hehe Seriously though, these cards just rock. Need to go pull my stuff out and get some stamping done so my mojo doesn’t go away. You’re keeping me inspired here.
Hi!
I’m from Puerto Rico and been reading your blog for a while. Never post a comments, but you deserve to know that your creations are fabulous. Sometimes I wonder were you get so many great ideas. Also, by what I had read about you, I think you already achieve many things. Please! continue with your creations for us to enjoy. Cariños, Gina
You crack me up Lauren! Your cards are fantastic! Thanks so much for sharing… By the way, I was at Target the other day and they had some really great metal self adhesive flowers ~ 4 for a $1 AND they had some great flower brads ~ 15 for a $1. Yes, they were in the dollar spot. Ours were really picked over but I am going to keep checking back and hopefully they will get more! I can’t believe I missed them!!!! YOU didn’t tell me they were there!!! LOL!!! You are supposed to be the Target ~ $1 spot enabler!!! LOL!!! I am hoping to post a card tomorrow with the metal flowers! Have a great night!

Beautiful cards!! The second nature-y one is so me!! I love any blue and brown together…in fact my favorite color is blue, and I’ve been known to say my next favorite is khaki. Love how you used those label stamps – do they fit that long across a card, or did you line them up and stamp again? Love the sewing too, I’m sooo glad my Rite-Aid still had a machine. I used to never shop there, they need to give you a bonus for enabling everyone!
LOL @ the Moon Sand fiasco!
Both cards are great! I love that black w/ colorful dots ribbon. It is a perfect inspiration!
Miss Lauren …. I LOVE both your cards. {*smile*} Where/who is the polka dot black ribbon from? That certainly makes a *statement*, which means ….. “I MUST BUY BLACK, POLKA DOT RIBBON” heheheheee. Don’t worry, we all have ~~ISSUES~~, when it comes to our stamping/scrapping **obcession** :0) Your photos are also stunning and very artistic!
QUESTION #1: Did the mailman live to see another day, after being late with your delivery? {*evil grin*}
QUESTION #2: What is Moon Sand?
Yes, I’m full of questions today …. glad to hear that Alexa is feeling better and hasn’t locked her sister in the dog crate lately ha ha!
Hello Daughter,
NOOOOO…I did not laugh all the way home when I bought the Moon Sand, I thought it was really cool, as the children are so creative, just like you….and YES…I would have bought it for you, IF they had it…definitely would not have bought it for Robbie….
The children on the commercials didn’t look like they could make a mess!!! I actually had to politely nudge off another Grandma at Kids R Us because it was the last one!!! It’s ok, bring it my house..they can play with it here….after all… Nanny has 8 vacuums!!!!
I never miss the chance to read your blog…I”m “hooked on tuning in”. Your daily creations leave me in awe…the color schemes are gorgeous, love the Bella’s and especially love the polka dots…ALWAYS so very proud of you, you’re wonderfully amazing…good for you sweetie………………………
My sides are still hurting from laughing so hard at Alexa’s idea to lock up Amber in the dog crate….THAT’S something you would have liked to have done to your brother many times
Okay… Your post was funny but your mom’s…
I’m still chuckling! Your mom sounds like an awesome lady and a really cool mom (and now Grandma). It sounds like there are some interesting stories about you and your brother, Robbie. 🙂
I just re-read it and now I’m kinda misty. Your mom is so proud of you…. You can “feel” it just by reading her reply. Enjoy each other… I miss my mom so much.
Have a wonderful day!
I think the manufacturers of moon sand stay afloat by first time buyers only! I have NEVER met someone who has used it and bought more?! What is up with that? Laughed so hard at your post, but your cards are brilliant.
I love ’em both!
Two totally different cards but stunning nonetheless. Adore the colours on the first one!
Great cards Lauren, love the 2nd one the best. When I was little we played with moon sand, it had a different name though I think. Sorry, but I loved it. DOn’t remember my brother and sister playing with it at the same time as me. So 3 kids at the same time sounds like a BIG mess. We’ve got 50 degree weather here and rain in southern Illinios.
Lauren, These cards are gorgeous, but the woes of Moon Sand totally has me laughing out loud. I feel your pain.
Lauren, these are just amazing. I love them both!
Love these! I will have to do some CASEing here!!! You always take the stamps to the next level. Heather
Hey Lauren ~ yes it’s me again!! {{*smile*}} I had to write and say that your Mom sounds just like you, or vice-versa 🙂 You can feel the pride and love she has for you, just like we can hear and see yours via your creations, blog and stories. I really laughed when I read how she got the last box of Moon Sand at ToysRUs by “nudging” out the other lady. {{*evil grin*}}
Maybe we need to create a Blog for you Mom, so we can know ALL the stories, *dirt*, and “Beauty Within” our amazing stamper and blogger, Miss Lauren 😀
Love your blog…wonderful cards and ideas! I just had to write about the moon sand…I have two words for when it’s time to clean it up ~ VACUUM CLEANER!!! It sucked it all up ~ right off the table, off the floor, off my son!! Now it stays outside…
The polka dot ribbon goes perfectly with the flowers…guess you kinda knew that 😉 Both cards are stunning as is your usual way 🙂
Lauren, how are you NOT on the PTI team? I already have these stamps and you make me want to buy them again, lmbo! Awesome cards! Thanks so much!
I had to chuckle at your moon sand story. My mom also gave some to my girls. I opened the package and thought this is going to be a mess. But, I was the nice mom and let them play with it. Once they were done, that stuff went directly into the trash. Never again. It was everywhere. I’m glad to here I am not the only one who thought that stuff was awful.
Thanks for sharing on your blog.
Jennifer
Love these cards, Lauren! That black, white, and COLOR one especially just grabs my attention!
LOVE how you used that LImitless Label! Too cute! The fun, bright colors are awesome!
