mytime-choco-dove-boxes.jpg

This is a DELICIOUS post! LOL! Read to the end for my recipe for you all to try.

It’s ALMOST Valentine’s day, and I am working (last minute of course), on some sweet treat’s for the kid’s teachers!

I saw this image from Lizzie Anne Design’s set Petite Phrases, and also used Celebration Frames (on right), and thought it would be PERFECT for the job!

I LOVE Dove Chocolate’s, and thought that packaging up some would be so SWEET! Since I LOVE making boxes, I had fun doing these.

So I grabbed my trusty Scor-Pal, and I made this candy box holder just PERFECT for 12 Dove Chocolates 😀

WAIT TILL YOU SEE WHAT I HAVE UP MY SLEEVE FOR EASTER!!!! WOW!

Anyway-

I made 2 boxes here-one with Acetate, and the other with Vellum cardstock. I wanted to show the versatility in the design. I think these look so scrumptious, and make giving such a SIMPLE and in expensive gift (works out to be $1 each!!! There are 3 servings per bag :D) look so special.

You will need to cut your cardstock

5 1/2 X 8

Score along the 5 inch side at 1-4-and 5

Score along the 8 inch side at 1- 3 1/2- 4 1/2- then 7

See diagram for where to cut!

Finished size- 3 inches high- 2 1/2 across, 1 inch wide

NOTE: Ribbon around box keeps lid flap closed nicely

mytime-template-dove-boxes.jpg

These are DONE in 5 minutes EASY! After you make one of course.

So I hope you get to test one out. I’d LOVE to see it.

Thanks for all the kind and caring messages/emails/ and even phone calls! I don’t think you are a stalker-I feel so loved! 😀

I really appreciate the fabulous recipe’s you all shared! I am now signed up for Kraft Foods email’s too.

I honestly have NOT tried any yet-we need to go to the food store :C, but we do have a list of items to try them out.

Now I am going to share my FAVORITE recipe-quick, easy and sure to please!

Olive Garden Style Fettuccine Alfredo Sauce

Sauce-

8 ounces Cream cheese — cut in bits
3/4 cup Parmesan cheese — grated
1/2 cup Butter or margarine
1/2 cup Milk

Black Pepper, and oregano to taste
8 ounces Fettuccine; cook — drain | In large saucepan combine cream cheese, Parmesan, butter and
milk, stirring constantly until smooth. Toss pasta lightly with
sauce, coating well. Leftovers freeze well.

PS you can double everything to get MORE sauce (you don’t have to double the cream cheese though)

Make it with Chicken and Broccoli-

While the noodles Boil-

I just throw in some frozen breaded chicken tenders in the oven-Like 450 degrees for 20-25 min

I also throw frozen broccoli in the microwave while it all cooks-

Now you have Chicken & Broccoli Fettuccine!

I aslo ALWAYS throw a garlic bread in the oven with the last 10 minutes that the tenders cook!

YUMMY!!!

Now tomorrow Not only is it the PTI release (YEAH!!!!) I will share a COOL tip-in regards to a Papertrey Product (yes I got Nichole’s permission first :D), and my V-day card for Jason, as well as COOL activity for those of you with children, that will allow YOU more TIME to stamp!!! It will also help them explore their own creative side without driving mommy INSANE.

So come back then!
 Till tomorrow.

A card, a bag and a tag………….

Feb 10, 2008 Author: mytime | Filed under: Cards, Home decor/3-D items

This is a quickie post today. Lots to do, as I have so much going on this week. The Papertrey Ink reveal is just DAYS away! EEEEEEEKKKKKKKK! I bet you are as excited as I am!

What do you all think so far? Let me know.

OK so I am sorry I couldn’t think of some fancy title for my post-but rather a rhyme to describe the “goods”. I love stuff that is all matchy, matchy! I am drawn to the simplest matchy items when I shop for things, so shy not just make my own!

It doesn’t have to be complex to be a hit or attractive.

So this post will show how you can take ONE item and make a plethora of stuff, based from that ONE design.

This set started with my tag.

The items showcased all use Fun to be Floral by Lizzie Anne Designs, as well as Say it in Script.

I made them to be all occasion. My favorite combo-Pink & Brown! Actually positively Pink and Chocolate Chip.

First up will be the bag!

mytime-pc-gift-bag-to-match.jpg

I whipped this up in UNDER 5 minutes! The butterfly is a sticker, and the sewn vellum piece was sewn alone, then attached with vellum adhesive dots.

The flower center’s are a flower punched from vellum cardstock that I got at the Target $1 spot! LOVE Target!

Next is a tag that can be attached to the bag

mytime-sketch-tag-set.jpg

You can’t read it but it says Happy Day 3x’s

Continued the same sewn vellum piece on that tag, as the bag. The pink rectangle is embossed with my rectangle nestabilities.

Now for the card.

mytime-la-fushia-funky-flowers.jpg I HEART this card.

Its SIMPLE yet so appealing to me.

I stamped the flowers with aperfect plumeria ink, then stamped over it with the Java ink.

Rhinestone stickers adorn my centers.

The butterfly is a Martha Stewart punch. I first stamped a small flower from the set, onto cardstock, then punched my butterfly, from how I wanted  the pattern to look.

The sheer ribbon was a Michael’s find.

And that is it!

Quick and easy peasy.

OK Ill be back soon. I’m on the run-

How about another MF”Tea”ser

Feb 5, 2008 Author: mytime | Filed under: Home decor/3-D items

Well we just got some MORE snow, and the kids are home. OH BOY!!!

After this post I may need to take my own advice for the gift I have to share with you today. It will help me deal with the winter fever, of child crazies. My kids are insane these days. Being cooped up in the house because of wet slushy snow does NOT help matter’s at all.

Im going to have a nice cup of CALMING tea for me. I wonder if its child approved? HMMMM, wouldn’t that be nice?

Anyway-

Tomorrow is the next MFT Release. So here is another MFTeaser. (If you are wondering what that means, its a cute new fancy word to present a sneak peek)

Kim created one of my favorite sets! It is called Serenity Now.

I love the images, and sentiments in it.

Most people may think YOGA when they see it. Not me. I think calm, and relaxing.  Images for gifts, along those ideas.

I think wrapped scented candles, get well packages-instead of soups, give herbal rubs, Spa gift certificate’s, facial’s, tea’s and other holistic kinds of gifts.

I decided to create a holder, for those FAMOUS TAZO tea bags! Its a great, easy and unique way to package a gift for someone.

Think NEW mom! Instead of a gift tag, add a tea bag holder to the top of the baby gift, when you present it to her at the hospital. Everyone always forgets the new mom. She is really the one who needs pampering.

So here is my Tea Bag

Created to look similar to an actual tea bag. You could also put in your own homemade tea.

mytime-tea-bag-holder-gift.jpg Tea Bag gift

The colors of the image were taken from the colors of my Zen TAZO tea bag.

This bag will nicely fit 4 tea bags. So you can make several per box of tea. You can add it to a mug, or as I said above as a tag for a larger gift, if you like.

I am sharing the instructions here. Click for larger image/directions listed ON the template.

tea-bag-holder-directions-mytime.JPG

Please remember ALL my templates and idea’s for 3D items belong to ME. You can certainly use them for personal use, but do not submit them for publication.

My sketches however-feel free to use them how you wish.

If you try it I’d LOVE to see what you do! So send me a link. It should be pretty easy to follow. Read as you go.

Enjoy!!!

Tomorrow I have a few more peeks for you 😀

AND due to OVERWHELMING demand-in the next few days I will post a tutorial for my Onesie baby cards. I gave up counting how many people asked for a real VISUAL!

Till tomorrow!

It’s a Girl! Baby Onesie Bouquet

Feb 1, 2008 Author: mytime | Filed under: Home decor/3-D items

Well I got the call at 8am. My friend Erin delivered a baby girl! They did name her Avery, and she weighs a hefty 9lbs 11 oz!!! I was already informed I need to create a name from for her 😀

Alexa was 9lbs, and I thought that was big-WOW!

Well in my post yesterday, I made the Onsies shaped baby card to give to her when the baby arrived. It was rather a joke because she has NO 0-3 month 3-6 month onesies! My goal was to wrap the onesie’s in a unique, and fun way. I am going to share with you what I did. I am ECSTATIC over it.

I will visit her today, and spent yesterday FRANTICALLY making my vision a reality. I am happy to say I worked beautifully!!!

Now I will share my Baby Bouquet! I think its a beautiful way to present a gift-rather than REAL flowers!

baby-bouquet-onesies-pti.jpg Onsie Bouquet-Its a Girl!

What’s in the bouquet?

I used the large heart tin that I purchased from Papertrey. I decorated the outside/cover with embossed paper by Martha Stewart. I then tied a wide ribbon around it by Heidi Swapp. The lid was covered using the method Debbie Olson posted on her blog—>HERE. REALLY EASY!!!

I added some Hydrangea Prima’s (which did you see Jodyis having a huge Prima share?), and Prima leaves (I got those at a stamp convention thingy).

The “bouquet” is made up of 5 rolled up onesie’s- white, pink, yellow and 2 patterned. They are rolled to look like “roses”. Isn’t it so pretty?

They are folded in half, rolled up and taped with white floral tape. I used floral tape because its not too sticky and holds them together! Then an elastic is placed around the bundle. This kept them in place the way I wanted them, and helps them from falling over in the container. The heart was PERFECT size for this, and will be a nice item for the baby room, after it is pulled apart! GASP!!! This will get disassembled :C OK I won’t think about it. But I will instruct her to NOT throw away my flowers! If she can’t sue them, then I want them back! LOL!

Inside the tin I placed some Kraft colored shredded paper, then put in the onesie roses. I then shoved in around the sides and in between, some various green colored large daisy Prima’s to act as “greenery”. I then used more hydrangea flowers, and little pink prima’s to fill in my bouquet!

It came out so pretty. I was then FREAKING out-HOW do I package this, and present it to her?

I can’t just carry it in-since the lid doesn’t fit on, and Im clumsy! My luck I’ll trip and drop it. Then I didn’t want all my work to get HIDDEN in a bag.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, I had to create a box for the bouquet!

If you can’t buy it-MAKE IT!

box-of-flowers-pti.jpg

The top comes off, and the side are all acetate-so you can see it!

I used myScor-Pal to create this.

Here is the top view-

mytime-baby-box-top.jpg

This uses the set Out on a Limb.

I used the sentiment

I Love You-to the moon and back again, to infinity and beyond, forever and ever.

I also included the book “Guess how much I love you” by Sam McBratney.

It is tied closed with the soft pink ribbon.

I can’t wait to bring this to her, and see her baby. I hope she likes it.

I’ll let you all know how it goes.

I’ll be back later with my Blogger’s Challenge-I just HAD to post this ASAP! I couldn’t contain my excitement.

Till later-

J-Just Because

Jan 19, 2008 Author: mytime | Filed under: Home decor/3-D items, Uncategorized

So, its time for my last letter. The letter “J”.

Before I go into all my “J” for Julie ramble, I hope all my PSF’s know it was hard to pick only a few to shower with “mytime” mail. I tried to spread the love to PSF’s whom I had not ever done much for, but are deserving all the same.

If I had the time I would make each PSF a letter. But its not a perfect world :C. So I hope none of you feel sad or slighted in anyway, as each of you are important 😀 I also appreciate all your friendships.

OK So upon my search I realized that there are hardly any GOOD words that start with J! WOW!

Here are some random words-BUT we wont say all of them are associated with Julie OK!

Jezebel, Juicy (HA! HA!), Jiminy, Jeepers, Jealous, Justify. Jump, Jinx, Joker, and Jewels!

But one GOOD word was JOY!

She has brought alot of JOY to us.

Did you know that she bought Alexa is “talking, light up Tinkerbell wand” all the way from Disney! Now she doesn’t live there, and it kept going off through their travels. She begged her hubby NOT to chuck it out the window! Everytime the wand goes off-(usually off one of the other kids heads) I remember her story. Alexa LOVES the wand BTW.

Thank you Julie for everything. Here is Julie’s Letter-

mytime-j-for-julie.jpg

I think this was my favorite of them all! Because it was so different, and maybe because it had butterflies! AND Julie’s favorite color was purple-just like me 😀

I used the “Joy” , which is lightly stamped in the bkgd from the PTI set Serene Snowflakes, and the sentiment is from Green Thumb.

The butterflies are from my favorite Stampin Up! set-Garden Whimsy . Of course there is dazzling diamonds on the wings. I had to add Prima’s to coordinate.

Now Julie wanted to learn to sew! So, I did some on her letter, and sent her one of the famous sewing machine’s I got for myself! Sorry people, I got the last 2 they had and the other was MINE!

So I hope she liked her package of goodies.

I’ll be right back with todays sketch!

Till then

R-is for Rich with Friendship- A thank you

Jan 18, 2008 Author: mytime | Filed under: Home decor/3-D items

Today’s letter is R.

R is for Remarkable, Radiant, Romantic, Reliable, Responsible, Reasonable, Rich, Regal, Riveting, Resourceful, and Rea-for a REAL Friend! Not just a PSF (PRETEND Stamping Friend).

R is also for Renee. Renee is the FIRST original PSF. When my daughter got Leukemia, Renee was the first person to contact me, and start this revolution of amazing friends, that Alexa calls the PSF’s!

She coined the term when all of “mommy’s computer friends” would send her gifts and cards in the hospital.  She would ask WHO sent it to her. I would tell her Mommy’s stamping friends from the computer. So, because she never met them, and couldn’t see them, she said “Oh they are your PRETEND Stamping Friends”. So basically she thinks I type to FAKE people that don’t exist all day! LOL! Then they magically send her her little cards and things too. Oh the mind of a child 😀

Renee is a special person, and will always hold a special place in my heart. I hope to meet my pretend friend someday.

This woman took a tragic time in my life, and gathered so many women, who not only reached out to us, but who became my rock through the storm.

They were there to get me through the toughest times in my life. How can you say Thank You, to all of them. Through that I have made some of the BEST friends a person could ever ask for. Each one has truly blessed our lives, and touch it forever.

So to all my PSF”s I love you, cherish you and thank you for everything. Your friendship has meant the world to me and my family. You all saved me mentally and emotionally, on days that I didn’t think I’d get through.

Now that I’m all teary, I will share the letter with you-

mytime-side-r.jpg

For info on how this letter was made into ART, click—->HERE

I used chocolate chip card-stock for the base.  I stamped it with Beautiful Blooms, and adhered some $1 spot paper flowers (like Primas) to some of the centers. Dew Drops are in the centers.

Here is a view of the sentiment-another CTMH one.

mytime-renee-r-close-up.jpg

“We can do not great things, but in rising up every-time we fall”

How suitable for Renee. She helped me rise up, when I thought I would fall.

The birds are by Inkadinkadoo. I love them!

And that my PSF’s is that.

Now I really need to go stamp. Then get the kids home from school so I can go INSANE!

Yes, my kids have been awful lately. What’s the word to describe them Rebellious, Rabid, and Ridiculous! LOL!

“B” is for BUSY, BUSY,BUSY!

Jan 17, 2008 Author: mytime | Filed under: Home decor/3-D items

“B” is for BUSY -that is me this week! I got all my stuff in at the SAME time, and have all the same deadlines :C YIKES! Not complaining though, its a happy busy. I do my best work when I have a TON to do. It get’s my mojo in high gear. I’m really proud of what I have done so far.

Enough about ME-lets talk about the letter B (Did that sentence sound like you were reading an episode of Sesame Street or what! LOL!).

On that note, I bet you can’t guess what my favorite puncuation is?

Answer-(!). Shocking huh? OK sorry-back to B.

In this case B is for Bonnie and her favorite color BLUE!

Some other words that come to mind-Birds, Beautiful, Best, Bodacious, Bright, Breezy, Brainy, Bashful……and I’m Bewildered there aren’t many more NICE words that begin with B.

BECAUSE……..Bonnie is one amazing person! Despite all she has on her plate, she thinks of others all the time. She is just the BEST! LOL!

OK enough of that-

She was one of my other Secret Friends-so here is her letter I did for her.

b-for-bonnie.jpg

If you want the details, on HOW my letter’s are made please see this——->POST. It will give you the blah, blah blah, as to how they are made into ART 😀

This one was done using Prism cardstock-in Perfect Baby Blue Light. LOVE that cardstock, and that color.

I stamped one of my most favorite flourish designs by TAC ( The Angel Company ), called Deco Designs. You may recall I used it HERE as well.

I used Brilliance ink in beige for the main image-then colored with my Twinkling H20’s and Lumiere.

Sentiment is yet ANOTHER from CTMH (close to my heart). I LOVE all their sentiments!

mytime-bonnie-words.jpg

Is that not beautiful or what?

I seriously LOVE doing these letters!

OK well back to work for me. I have a ton to do and a ton to share, but not till tomorrow!

2 more letter’s to share, and I have our Blogger’s Challenge tomorrow, and the Saturday sketch!

Till tomorrow!

mytime-copper-side-p.jpg

Pretty, Punctual, Precious, Peaceful, Polite, Popular, Professional, Possible, Plesant, Perfect, Positive, Priceless and PROUD!

Or PAULETTE 😀

All of these adjectives not only start with “P”, but describe the person this letter was made for.

I told you yesterday I would share a great gift idea, and here it is.

For the person who has everything or anyone really-and you want to do something special.

I made these altered MDF letters for some friends recently. I purchased them at Michael’s.

They are part of a Secret Friend Swap. So if you got a MDF letter-the SURPRISE! Its from me:D

I tried to make them  for each person so they would match their creative space!

I have 3 more to show you through this week. Each one special, and different from the next, to match the people they are made for.

This one was made with Paulette’s room color in mind, and her general peaceful, relaxed way.

Another important thing, she bought me this stamp from Penny Black. I LOVE it! What a way to showcase her gift to me huh?

For each letter I used Copper Foil, normally used when making Microscope slide ornaments, or stained glass wrap. It is sticky, so I just ran it along the edges of the letters, and ran my Scor-Tool over it to really secure it on, and smooth it out.

mytime-p-sentiments.jpg

It really adds a much more elegant look than just PAINT!

The cardstock is River Rock textured cardstock.

I adhered each letter with Monomulti Glue, then brayered over each one for a nice seal.

Stamped the images and sentiment (from CTMH) with black StazOn (prior to adhering), and colored with my Twinkling H2O’s, and Lumiere. I also added some copper pen touches, to the flower centers.

I then added some gorgeous May Arts Satin ribbon-that will also be delivered to Paulette’s as part of her gift from Jody’s Ribbon share 😀

I needed “something” so I got a tag from Making Memories, and stamped the butterfly/sentiment from the SU! Priceless set. I colored the tag with my Sharpie markers, then sanded it.

mytime-p-bottom.jpg Another view

P-for PERFECT and P-for Proud!

I hope you enjoyed my little project.

My friend Erin is due THIS Friday to have a baby girl! They aren’t entirely sure it is, so I will alter one for “whatever” she has! LOL! Her baby is suppose to be named Avery-but Im not putting anything permanent YET!

I changed Amber’s name from Rebecca to Amber after to was born!

The other 2 were named, while I was pregnant too, and it stuck, but not her. She was almost Brielle, or Lily (now our cat’s name! LOL!), but those just didn’t fit.

Amber came out of no where!

Come to find out, when Jason’s mom was pregnant with him (at 17 and told no one till she was 8 months), she thought HE was a girl. She was going to name HIM Amber. She would “talk” to him by that name all the time. No one ever knew that.

So Amber’s arrives, and we had not agreed on a suitable name.

She reached out and grabbed his thumb, from under the warming lights.

Here is the photo-my most cherished I think!

ambers-thumb.jpg

He turned to me and said “What about Amber?”

I looked at her and knew that WAS it! She has soft blond hair, and a sunny look to her. She was so precious. Amber-A precious jewel-is the meaning. PERFECT.

When his mom came to visit in the hospital we told her we named “Rebbecca” – “Amber” instead. It was then that we heard the story!

Is that not the coolest thing ever! It subconsiously stuck with him, somewhere all these years.

Goes to show babies can “hear you” in there.

Thanks for reading.

I have a few more I’ll post this week.

Till tomorrow.

Bloomin wonderful

Jan 15, 2008 Author: mytime | Filed under: Cards, Home decor/3-D items

Have you ever made something that you LOVED, but no one else seemed to really notice?

Doesn’t it drive you crazy?

This happens to me all the time. I think I have bad taste!

Even with submissions. There will be something I’m not sure about sending, and its the first thing picked! The things I LOVE-no go!

Well, I came across one of those creations today! An under loved piece of magic (:D)

I was scanning through my files, so I could update my published list, and found my VERY FIRST EVER Papertrey Ink card! I felt since I stayed up till 12:35 am, to get in my order-(YES! The site crashed AGAIN!) that I should share a sample with you.

Here it is-

submission-thoughts-wishes-love-r-side-mytime.jpg Butterfly Kissed Thoughts

When I saw the Butterfly Kisses set I knew that Papertrey Ink would KILL my pocketbook. I was in love.

So, back to my thoughts-I LOVED this card. I mean REALLY LOVED. I don’t think anyone ever noticed it. Its still, to this day, one of my most favorite I have ever created.

Now since I am in a spring mode, after our foot of snow-

I figured I’d share a tin I made with you (2 months ago!!!), using the NEW! Lizzie Anne Dreaming of Dots. Now I have to tell you how much I LOVE this set. Its so hard to “sit” on projects sometimes.

But now I can share away!

mytime-tin-of-flowers-la.jpg Bloom dots tin mytime-la-tin-side-view.jpg

Click for larger view. Inside fits 4 Ghirardelli chocolate squares.

You have to LOVE Martha Stewart’s wide adhesive ribbon! That is what is on the bottom portion of my tin. It matched the SU! Guava ribbon PERFECTLY!

Now this tin can seriously be whipped together in UNDER 5 minutes! Minus the time for the liquid pearls centers of the flower’s to dry.

Is it not so cute?

These are cute for Easter-if you give Teacher’s anything.

Anyway-I must run. Got to run the kids around today.

Hope you enjoy the day.

I’ll be back tomorrow to share some WAY cool thing I have been doing! You really will want to see this!

Unless you don’t want to spend anymore $$$ (wink). Yes, its THAT good.

HINT-Another great gift idea.

Till tomorrow-

Many Merry Moments

Dec 24, 2007 Author: mytime | Filed under: Home decor/3-D items, Uncategorized

Well I cannot believe its Christmas Eve!

How fast did that go by? Seems like just yesterday (October) I was taking my kids to get their photos done. Now here it is!!

I am hoping your family have a very safe, happy, healthy New Year!

I have some exciting things coming up, over the next few months, to share with all of you! I hope you will share my excitement, when the time arrives.

Many are publications-YEAH!!

The next 2 projects, I can now share with you. They were published in Crafts n’Things the December Holiday issue. Both projects I am sharing use a CUTE penguin set by MFT called Winter Blast

I also have a WHOPPING 7 projects in the current issue! YEAH!!!

mytime-mft-carrottop-christmas-tree.jpg Carrot Top Christmas Tree

This one can be found on page 76. Supplies found there.

The thing that is “special” about this is, it was originally a template for a “carrot box” or triangle box. I flipped it over, and made it a Christmas tree!

Next up is an ornament-Found on page 33

mytime-mft-penguin-ornament.jpg Pretty Penguin Ornament

Now why is this SO special?

Well it is NOT a tin! It is actually the lid from a candle I used. I applies 2 sided cardstock to the back, so I could make an ornament. It was a great way to recycle. See why we stamper’s SAVE everything! LOL!

Anyway, I know these projects are ow no use to you for Christmas, but hop you enjoy them just the same, if you hadn’t seen them in print.

I was very proud of these 😀

Well I am having a day with family, then Santa comes for a visit!

I am very excited for the kids to wake up this Christmas.

I will definitely post photos, when I get some time.

Till then-Merry Christmas!
