I thought this would be a simple yet fun sketch!
I used the Make A Wish set by Gina K. I love how it can be elegant, or fun and funky! I like this card alot. I was thinking teen girl! The paper you have seen here before! Its Hippie Chick by SEI. I really LOVE SEI! Its probably my favorite company for paper.
I basically stamped my image, colored with Copic Markers, and then added stickles. This was a quick card-like 12 minutes!! Now that is pretty good 😀 I think all the layers make it look like it took longer. Thats the key to a great card-make it LOOK like it took forever!
Im big on tying ribbon like this. I just love the look. I did it on one card like a year ago and have loved it ever since. I used a pink, and aqua sheer organdy ribbon from Michaels for this one. HAD to add silver cord.
I hope you try this sketch. I would love for you to share it here if you do. We would all love to see your take on it.
I would also love for you to share a wish YOU have with me. It can be anything-for a product, your family, a goal- whatever you want. I totally LOVE hearing form the people who stop by here to check in, and getting to know them.
My wish
I would LOVE to get a card/project on the COVER of a magazine. It was my only goal that I did not accomplish for this year. That and losing more weight, but hey its an ongoing battle right. I will say though (while time is ticking) that Im OK with NOT accomplishing that because I have accomplished many other things that I had not set out to do! Its been a great year!
I was the inspiration for the cover of one Stampin Success magazine! It just wasn’t MY creation, it was their version of mine. So it doesnt count.
Your turn!

Hi–I’ve never posted here on your blog before, but I’ve got to tell you, I LOVE your card today! It’s so bright and cheerful and it makes me happy looking at it. I think I will give your sketch challenge a try. I’ve struggled lately with my layouts for some unknown reason, so this will help me along. A wish of mine is to finally get published for the FIRST time. I’m having trouble breaking through that barrier and it’s driving me crazy! Thanks for today’s card. Love it.

This is very cool! It looks like an ATC on a card! I may have to try that
I think you could definately count being the inspiration for a SU cover as making it…don’t knock yourself. Love your blog and your talent that you share with the rest of us non-published on-lookers! Good luck on reaching your goal.
Hi. Love the card today and I’ve got to get some of that SEI paper.
Could you give some more detail on how you actually tie the ribbon to
criss-cross like that? thanks.

Great card, Lauren! Love all the fab stuff you’re doing with this set! I’m trying to hold off buying it, but I’ll cave and get it (probably today).
Hi everyone-To answer Shery’s question
to tie the ribbon I just wrapped them both around the card, as you would normally, and rather than making 2 knots I knotted them together! When they are tied you can then seperate them as they are wrapped around the card.
Love the bright pretty colors on your card, Lauren. I need that set – ‘course I need the money to BUY that set first. My wish is to be on a design team.
Great card!! You really are doing wonderful things with this set.
My wish is that I will get into the Nursing program at our university next year. I’m working hard to achieve that, but the minimum GPA is high, so I’m nervous!! Cross your fingers for me!
Lauren, I love this fun card. My wish – I want my kids to thrive. I want tolerance and understanding for them. I want people to stop saying, “Oh, they have autism.” Like it’s a terrible curse, and they’ll never be able to succeed. I want them to say, “They have autism?” Like “Wow, look how great these kids are. They’re going to be alright.” Can I count that as just one?
I can’t wait to get my set. I’m going to try out a few of your sketches tonight if I’m feeling up to it. Have a good weekend.
You are just do such a great job with this new set. YOU convinced me that I should have it. Soooooooooooo it is on its way. I can’t wait. I do wish for an end to this war and get our boys back here. That is not only a wish, it is my prayer. I love the brightness of this card today. The bow is a great one and I will try it. I look forward to you each day. Have a great weekend,.
Cannot wait for my set to arrive. Lauren you have so many great ideas you’re sharing with us as well as your family.
Great card Lauren!! I’ll have to try that sketch after vacation!! Ok, you have done such amazing work and have accomplished great things! One goal of mine is to get something published this year . . . ok so I guess I need to start submitting things! 🙂 LOL – can’t “win” unless you try right?! Thanks for the inspiration!
I just love the colors of the card. Very bright, very cheerful and the overall look is too too good. I think i’m inspired to try something right now….
I love your card, Lauren. It is so very cheerful. I did a card for the challenge and you can see it here. It is the second card in the post.

Thanks for a great sketch!
Lauren, I love this card! I can never figure out what patterned paper goes with which stamps. It never would have occured to me to put circles with stars – just fabulous! My wish? Hmmm…I think that my husband’s photography business would become as successful as he thinks it should be. And let me tell you, he’s a pretty talented photographer!
I finally had time to do one of your sketch challenges. It was a great one! Thanks for challenging me.

I have lots of goals, so let’s see. I’d like my kids to play together without killing each other. I’d love to get anything I made even close to being published, I still have 25 lbs of pregnancy weight from 2 kids to lose and I’m sure there is more, but by then I’d have written a book.

I keep coming back to this card. I have the page bookmarked. I can’t remember the last time I saw a card that made me feel good inside the way this one does…this card just shouts “happy!” 🙂
Thank you so much for being such an inspiring artist! I love your blog, your heart shows in everything you do!
