Can you guess?
Well Look at Amber’s arms! She spotted! She has a very strange circular rash on JUST her arms. It started tonight.
Does it not look like someone did the reinker technique where you put in dye ink (in this case red), and dish liquid, then blew bubbles and let it pop on her arm?
THAT is how I described this to the Doctor over the phone. HE is not a stamper, but I think he got my drift.
Its called a TARGET rash. Im surprised I dont break out in this every weekend when I need my shopping fix! LOL!
In all seriousness this is freakin me out. This is what they THINK she had. Its a response to a virus or a allergic reaction. “I” have never seen this before. On anyone. Ive worked in some crazy places and seen some crazy things (such as a man who ripped his indwelling urinary catheter out, and his penis ripped WIDE open : like a hot dog that splits down the middle when cooked too long. AND it healed that way! OMG! Let me tell you I did almost pass out when that happened. Everytime I took care of him it made me cringe seeing it) but never a rash like this.
So now we wait.
I just had to share the photo with you all.
BTW I offered to email the photos to the DR but they declined. HMMMMM.
Let hope it goes away tonight.
She so cute even with spots isnt she?

Lauren, she’s beautiful, even with those circular spots! Poor thing, hope she’s ok.
I had one child who had every weird rash possible. He is now 19 and has hopefully outgrown it. But, he did have a “Bullseye” rash when he was 3 and they said it was Lyme Disease like from a tick. That was 16 years ago. It was on his back and torso though not on his arms. That doesn’t help, huh? She IS adorable. 🙂
Never seen a rash like that either… weird, but not as weird as your story about the guy ripping out his cath (that’s gross btw). cute kiddo–she must get that from her mom.
Did you go on Webmd and do a search for Target rash? It might help you to find out what kinds of things she was exposed to or what types of viruses can cause this rash. Do only children get these rashes? I get lost of rashes but never one like the one that your little girl has. She looks to be in good spirits so that is good. 🙂 She is so adorable. Looks like her mommy.

Oh no! I hope Amber’s rash goes away soon (she is so adorable…by the way!)
She’s a cutie- patootie, for sure! I would also go to WebMD and see what you can find out.
This is what I look like when I get hives. If you look at fotos of target rashes, they look more red and sore where hives look less so. In fact my hives look like your cutie as they are disapating. Does she itch really bad? I get hives from wool, niacin in vitamins, mushrooms, and pine needles among others. My son got hives as a kid when he was exposed to the cold! He didnt go outside in the winter unless he was all bundled up and we even put plastic baggies under his snow pants for insulation.
anyways, here is a link to the target rash fotos and your baby doesnt look like this. Is it just on her one arm or all over? SHe may have rubbed against something she is allergic to if its only the one arm.

How about ring worms. My husband got them once when we were travelling. They some times are caused my a cat. We had just bought a cat before going on vacation and when we got back, the cat had them too. (bald spot on the cat and then the ring on her skin.
Poor Amber!. She is such a cute little Target girl. Hope it heals soon and doesn’t bother her too much.
Amber is so cute even with a rash.
OMW!! I’ve never seen a rash like this either!!! Hope it heals up and they figure out what it is and what’s causing it. I can understand you being freaked out.
But even with the rash, Amber is a cutie pie!!!

This looks like a bullseye rash associated with lyme disease do you live in an area with deer ticks? THe actual name to look up is erythema migrans which is the first sign of Lyme disease. Hopefully if it is you get it checked and treated in time
Even though this is years later, I found this pic on google while looking up the rash my daughter (close in age) developed this morning. Glad someone else out there has seen this too! Thank you for posting this and giving me a place to start.
