Are you ready to screech from your computer screen?
If you have a girl you will need this set! If you have boys you will be beggin your husband for a baby girl! LOL!
I have another peek from Pink Cat Studio-Lily at the Beach!
OH MY HEAVENS! Isn’t she fabulous?!
Amber-elle (Instead of Ariel-My daughter Amber called her that! LOL! She said its her name as a Mermaid. We always say Lily is a cartoon version of Amber :D)
Is this not the cutest Mermaid you ever did see?
I’m in LOVE people!
I altered this little plastic tomato container for this project. Nifty eh?
Jay was getting ready to throw it out, when Noah said “NO! Dad! WAIT! You better ask mommy first if she wants it for her stamping stuff!” What a good boy!! Great thinking Noah. HAHAHAHAHA Isn’t that hilarious! I didn’t even think to keep it till he said that! Then I praised him for his good thinking.
Makes a super cute gift, don’t you think? Thank goodness for purple Easter Grass!
Amber has inherited this, as we speak. She claimed it before it was even finished. She is funny- she likes to carry around LITTLE weird items. Ever since she was a baby, she would find these little (choking hazards) and hold them, or put them in her little pocketbooks and carry them around ALL day. She even hides them under her pillow. Her pediatrician would yell at me that they were choking hazards, but she NEVER, EVER put stuff in her mouth. She just loved holding them. Anyway-she is 4 now and still finds weird little things to carry in weird places. She loves little containers. Lord only knows what will end up in here!
I made the sea shell myself! A total AH! HA! moment!
I used the SU! Scallop punch to cut the 2 sides at a curve, then dry embossed it for the shell! I then sponged on some shimmery pastel chalks-to finish the look! LOVED IT!
I hope you like it too 😀

This is awesome. I have been begging my hubby for a baby girl. She is gorgeous. My oldest is always begging for the boy things that I make. So cute. TFS!!!
Your card is stunning Lauren!! I love the sparkly water and the gorgeous purple tail you’ve created. Gorgeous!!

I think as I was reading your text about screeching, I was trying to keep from doing so (as to not wake sleeping children). OMG!!! She is just adorable! We just went through a Little Mermaid period the other week and this would be a HUGE hit in our house.
Totally understand on the object fixation — my DD does that as well. She calls instructions (from whatever) “treasure maps”. She’ll grab random things — the annoying cards from magazines, junk mail offers, etc — and carry them with her or in her purse of the moment.
OH this is adorable! I love the added sparkle and that shell is cool!
that is so pretty 🙂 love the colors, love that mermaid :))))
That is adorable!! I love the sparkles and the colors. Too cute!
Gorgeous as always!
These containers are a god-send for me. I’ve used them to mail things … yep! just put your goodie inside, wrap it real good in tissue, put the address label inside (taped to the lid) and then tape the heck outta the whole thing and you’re good to go. I’ve also used them inside of boxes to keep things from shifting; nice and light weight and perfect for the job. We eat TONS and TONS of fruits and veggies in this house so we always have plenty of the containers. GO GREEN!
Great idea for recycling a tomato container..I have been saving my containers over the past few months, now I have an idea how to use one! I can always count on you to provide informative, creative ideas! Just love the mermaid Lilly, I recently purchased my first Lilly a few weeks ago, looks like more are in my future.
What a cute story about your son spotting the packaging for you — I almost have my husband trained to remember such things. Love the sparkly detail on your adorable mermaid!
Lauren-
Love this set! 🙂 Too sweet! 🙂 Amber sounds so much like my little girl Sasha! 🙂 Especially with the purse! HA!
Beautiful project! YAY! Noah! 🙂

So cute Lauren! LOVE that shell you created!
GET OUT!!!! She is TOO cute!!! Love it Lauren 🙂
Great idea to re-use too – go Noah!! Shan is the same way as Amber – always finding weird little things to carry around with her…and she too, never put stuff in her mouth – how funny!
I need to get stampin’ tonight – thank goodness there’s a week off from LOST 😉
what a sweet boy! My husband asks me now everytime he throws something away if I want it for stamping!! I LOVE your card!! wow she is gorgeous, I LOVE purple!! Love how you altered this container!
What an AWESOME idea! Your shell is FANTASTIC! Your creativity is unbelievable! I agree…this image is so adorable!
Oh wow, I am in love! What a super cute image and I love how you made some of her scales sparkly. Reminds me of the Rainbow Fish book.
I know what you mean, Lauren, about the choking hazard thing! My daughter Hope is obssessed with plastic! Her fave toy in the whole wide world is a little ziploc baggie – and she loves it even more if you put a little plush toy inside the baggie! We carry extra baggies in the diaper bag to keep her entertained if we need them and people look at me like I’m crazy when i give her plastic to play with!! Her disorder is Angelman Syndrome and one of the characteristics is they love shiny plastic – but I think it’s cause she’s a girl…..I mean what girl doesn’t like shiny stuff! ha ha!
Love your altered project, Lauren! And what a perfect project to celebrate Earth Day…recycling!!! Congrats to Noah for being such a quick thinker!
Another awesome sneak peek project, Lauren. Such beautiful coloring and it’s awesome that you altered the container. Very clever and so pretty!! Your coloring of Lily is fantastic!
Maria
This is a really clever idea! Go Noah! 🙂 And it turned out really, really cute!
My daughter is constantly carrying around strange objects too, but at 4 still puts the occasional very-bad-thing in her mouth. UGH. I was hoping to outgrow that…
Hi Lauren! I just love the little mermaid. Did you use Stickles or glitter on the tail? It really is sparkly.
I absolutely love your gift box. Great idea, way to go Noah, and love the sparkly details on Lily’s tail. I just can’t wait to get this set. It is fabulous. Great work on the shell. You are really resourceful. Have a great day!!
xoxo, Christine
This really is a super cute set! Love how Noah thought to save items for you to alter!
Love your project Lauren! You sold me! I love those stamps.
Cute! I never would have thought to use a tomato container like this, way to go Noah! I also think you’re a genius to figure out how to make a shell. I think that needs to be a short video in itself!
What a stunning card – love the glitter on her tail. Purple is one of my favorite colors and lily wears it well! I MUST get this set!!
Love the lavendar and the glitter on your mermaid. the self made shell is so creative!
hugs
Jodi =)
Love these new stamps. I have to go order some for myself. Lilly and Billy are too cute. I have a little boy and hope that Pink Cat Studio comes out with some new Billy sets. Lauren, you do marvelous work!!!!
LOVE the Mermaid Lauren! Adorable!! I love the colors you chose too…purple is my FAVORITE! Did you just use regular glitter on her tail or Copic glitter pens? Just curious! Kim
Okay – I have two 20-something year old boys and I’m tempted to buy this stamp. She is very cute! Thanks for sharing.
I totally agree that Lily is a mini Amber- I have always thought that!!!! (love the cards!!!)
Diane
OMG…you always prove my point about your awesome creativity! Who makes a gift out of a tomato container? Noah’s mommy, of course! LOL This is soooo adorable! I love that you showed Noah that you listen to his ideas and follow through, and I love that you made something that Amber immediately claimed as her own! I love kids for their innocence :O) Too sweet.
Love your homemade shell also! How clever!!! Can’t wait to hear what Amber stores in her tomato gift-box 🙂
Kristin
Extremely Cute!!
So very girly-girl..
what little girl wouldn’t love it 🙂
Beautiful colors…sweet shell!!
TFS
You’re right, this is the cutest little mermaid ever! When my 12yo granddaughter was little, she loved Ariel. I have the most adorable photos of her in my giant bathtub with about 10 Barbies – of course Ariel was doing all the acrobatic swimming! This stamp set would be too cute on a LO with those pics. Thanks for sharing your fabulous creativity and the idea for repurposing the tomato container.
All of these Lily at the Beach images are so cute! Love the sparkle and great thinking on creating the shell! :> I got quite the chuckle reading about Noah instructing his Dad to check with you to make sure the tomato case doesn’t require an elevation from recylables to alterables! And on Earth Day….it gets to be Re-Used for some time before being Re-Cycled!!! And reading about Amber just made my smile bigger….my daughter does the same thing! She has to have something whenever we leave the house (we’ve had to make it a rule…only TWO things…two hands, two things!). She LOVES purses (she has WAY more than I do!) and tubs….pack them up, dump them out, over and over. One of her fav activities?? Sorting my buttons!! Good thing I’ve got OODLES of them…keeps her busy for Hours! :>:>
That mermaid rocks!! I love your story about keeping the tomato container. OMG, my kaitlyn (3yrsold) does that same sort of thing. She loves little things and just holds them, very strange sometimes. LOL!
My daughter loves to collect and carry around trinkets too! She finds delight in the strangest of items and looking in her little purses is like a treasure hunt. TFS your fun story!
this is beautiful!!!! I just love all the sparkle!
Love this!!! Cannot wait to get my hands on this set! Love how you used the tomato container. Awesome find Noah!!
AACCKKK!! lauren, this is A-DOR-A-BLE!! Audrie (she’s 5) has been playing mermaid all morning and when i showed her this, she said it was HER!! i will definitely be wanting this set!! like NOW!!
