  • Today I want to share another fun project using the Fresh Popped Pretty Packaging Template!

    Isn’t this adorable???

I turned the Fresh Popped template into a Fresh Planted Pot!

I found some adorable Tulip shaped lollipops the other day, so I immediately knew they would be perfect packaged up in the Fresh Popped template, turned flower pot.

Obviously I went with the terracotta color for my pot.

When creating it I just scored 3/4 of an inch from the top of the scallops and folded the scallops down on each panel. I then assembled my template, per the instructions.

I found that the lollipops matched the pattern and the colors in my Flower Fusion © digital paper. This particular pattern t is one of my favorites! I adore the colors Sara chose too.

I had cut and layered the pattern panelsseparately so the pattern woulbe be exactly the same on all 4 pot sides.

Now for my “decor” I just kept it super simple by using the watering can image from the Tending The Garden  set, then adding the tulip from the Sensational Stems set. The tulip is my favorite, as that is my favorite flower.

You will find some amazing projects and ideas anytime you need some inspiration.

Now I will share my project for todays post!

    Happiest of Days:

I chose to package up a set of fout cards-4 inches wide  X  5 1/4 inches high, in the Disc-Covered DVD template! It makes an amazing card holder! We all know you simply can’t have enough ways to package up your handmade card creations can we?!

I used most of the patterns in the NEW! Spring is Here Pretty Printables Digital Paper on my entire project.

So here is my decorated Disc-Covered DVD

I used the Spring is Here Pretty Printables Digital Paper on my lid panels, as my main decor. I liked keeping it quick, clean and simple. The paper is all the dressing up I needed.

I actually made a quick “belly band” to wrap about the center of this template, using the decorative circle center as my decorative element. Just another fun option to simply dress things up a bit.

Once the band was slid off, and the tabs were unlinked, you open this up to find the 4 cards, and 4 envelopes.

As you can see they fit quite nicely in here 😀

    Now for some card details

Here are the first two: Happiest of Days

I used the NEW! Timed Write set for both of these, cut out using  the Just Retail Tag. I designed these tags to coordinate with my Spring is Here Pretty Printables Digital Paper.

I layered the fushia colored polka dot pattern to the tag top, which was colored in an olive color.I added the sentiment “Happiest of Days”.

To accent my tag I used the flower from the Sensational Digital Package © to accent my tag. I added a sentiment from the So Sentimental © set. I printed and ut 2 tags so I could get 2 cards done quickly.

As you can see, this one was super quick and easy! LOVE that!

You can design and print then cut a bunch of these for when you need a super fast card, or tag for an occasion. By switching out the image of the sentiment you can create somthing to suit any occasion!

    Now here are two more!

Again using the NEW! Spring is Here Pretty Printables Digital Paper, I went with focusing on different colors within the patterns, for a very different, yet coordinated look.

    W is for Wonderful

    OH! I love this one.

This is a Lauren card 😀 Love the tag, sherbert colors, polka dots, flowers and butterflies.

The tag was created from a pattern from the Spring is Here Pretty Printables Digital Paper using the Just Retail Tag.

The butterfly is from the All A Flutter © set, which I used the kissing technique on. I took the solid butterfly inked in olive ink, then stamped the polka dot image of the stamp directly on the stamp, before stamping on the paper, to remove the ink, giving me a slight pattern on my butterfly.

The flower in the lower right corner is from the Fanciful Flowers © (2nd flower down on left) cut file.

I stamped the W and sentiment usingthe Monograms Defined ©  set.

I printed the barcode from the Timed Write set on the bottom of my cardstock, in apricot colored ink, and stamped my “FRIEND” from the Monograms Defined ©  in a slightly paler ink I had on hand.

    Chase after your Dreams

This uses maily patterned paper as the focus.

As you can see they all coordinate beautifully.

In the window I printed the sentiment from Chase Your Dreams © as the main focus, and then stamped my butterfly silhouette from the All A Flutter © set, and the flourish from the Fanciful Flourishes © set.

    Easy peasy.

Then as I said above I just packaged them all up in my  Disc-Covered DVD template!

In classic MTME style we have amazing templates, images, cut files and paper to coordinate your items perfectly!

We are releasing 2 New! Pretty Packaging Templates, and 4 NEW! Pretty Impressions Digital Stamp Sets

Today we will be using one of the newest Pretty Packaging Templates: Fresh Popped!

I think you will agree this template offers a variety of possibilities, and fresh new uses and ideas for a long time to come.

Today you will want to visit:

  • Katie Cotton
  • Lisa Kind
  • Tangii Crain
  •  I hope you are excited and ready for all we have to share the next week 😀

I have so much to share, and I think you will be excited to add these new items to your ever growing collection for some outstanding gift giving for all ages. We all know its all about the total package and this month is sure to help you package up some amazing gifts for festivities all year round.

    So first up…

    Date Night!

(we can all use one of those can’t we?!)

What a great way to surprise someone with a night out (like the Hubby for Father’s Day) or a movie night in 😀

I made this entire gift ensemble for mine using the newest images being released this month called Night at the Movies and About to Pop!

Before I get into all the info on the images, let me share the New! Pretty Packaging Templates: Fresh Popped!

    Popcorn anyone?

    Fresh Popped $5

Available in PDF, SVG, GSD, DXF, WPC

This is an adorable scalloped topped box that will have your creativity popping with fresh and fun ideas and uses! This is the perfect party favor or gift box/bag. The design ideas are truly bottomless.

My sample uses the Fresh Popped! template, designed to look like a Popcorn Box. Filled with caramel popcorn (of course).  I love having the scalloped panels, as they can open up a world of possibility.

I used the Popcorn Label image from the  About to Pop! set, with some added elements from the set as well.

This set makes creating gifts more fun than ever. I love the label that Catherine designed.

I also added the box of popcorn from the set, which is featured on my bag of popcorn.

Isn’t this the perfect dressing to a simple bag of decadent gourmet popcorn?!

I just added these images to my bag, which is neatly tied with a ribbon.

The amazing Popcorn Machine image comes from the amazing Night at the Movies.

While the inspiration comes from the popcorn style box, but this really is so much more!

     Some fun ideas for use:

     Popcorn for a movie night

Add tickets or gift certificates for a night out

    Spa supplies

    Treat box/bag

    Party Favors

Add a handle for a fun new look, or “tote” style bag

Use it to create a “flower pot”

Fill with a themed gift for family night, date night, birthday or baby

     You get the idea!

Now for more details 😀 Gotta love the details right?

    How about that card?

I printed the move theater image from Night at the Movies onto the corner of my red cardstock base, to create my card. I had print, cut and colored the old fashioned movie camera.

Such an amazing set of images by Sara!

I created my date ticket using images from both the Night at the Movies and About to Pop! Adding a smaller version of the bag of popcorn 😀 I then took the movie board image, and added my own typed information to customize my image and date details.

Using the digital version of the images allows you to easily resize, layer, mirror and customize your images to suit your project needs. I love that. This offers so many more possibilities that your acrylic images. You can manually color, digitally color or both, as I did on my card.

Now for the other contents of the Fresh Popped sample!

I know I already shared my deets on the popcorn, but what about the cool ticket shaped card?!

That my friends, is a combination of our latest. to be releases June 1st, Hot Ticket Cut File, and our new images Night at the Movies and About to Pop!

I enlarged the Hot Ticket Cut File, and merged two tickets together to create a ticket shaped card.

As I said I just combined the digital images from both the Night at the Movies and About to Pop! sets to create a fun ticket shaped card, used to hold a movie theater gift card, and designed them to fit within the enlarged version of the Hot Ticket Cut File.

Being able to use our Digital images with our Cut Files is an amazing concept. I did a video HERE to show you how easy it is.

That being said, this month we are going all digital!

All our NEW! Pretty Impressions Images we release will be available in Digital format only. We may return to offering the acrylic versions of our images, but for now, our customer majority is Digital, so depending on demand of acrylic, this is how we will proceed throughout the Summer.

That means all instant gratification for you 😀

We include amazing step by step photo/written instructions with every Digital Stamp Set, and we have any helpful videos on our website –> HERE!

I could play with the combination of using the digital version of these images, and cut files all day.

About the stamp sets used in today’s projects:

Making her designer debut is our one and only, Sara Williams! She  has designed her first set for MTME called: Night at the Movies which features a realistic take on  the star quality of  Hollywood Movie Scene. This set is truly amazing, and even has some Pretty Printables Digital Paper to match 😀

Also in our stamp lineup this month, we have  a set by both Catherine Doucette and I called About to Pop! This is a cute set of images to help accent all your cards and Pretty Packages, also with Pretty Printables Digital Paper to match.

Well that is a lot to take in, in one post, so be sure you move along to the Design Team 😀 They have some amazing projects to share with you too.

I’ll return tomorrow with another template, and some new stamp set peeks!

    Stay tuned.

    Hi everyone!

I hope you are having a wonderful Mother’s Day!

Isn’t every day Mother’s Day? I mean in some way I know there is always a “moment” that makes me celebrate being a mom. Now that the kids are at the funnest of ages, 6, 8 and 11, they do their own things to make me feel special. I LOVE their handmade cards, poems, and gift ideas. Jay and I always make the kids pick out their own gifts, and its really cute to see what their idea of what they want you to have is 😀

Well I’m going to keep this brief because I have the day planned for me 😀 I want to enjoy my children and I hope you enjoy yours (or your own mother, grandchildren, fur babies!).

I went to see my mom in the hospital yesterday and we arrived home pretty late, so this is a little later than I intended. Sorry about that.

So today we have our Pretty Palette Challenge.

CLICK HERE to view the Pretty Palette 08 Challenge and add your creation!

I SHOULD have made a Mother’s Day card, but wasn’t thinking about that as I was running crazy all week, so all I could think was COFFEE! Stay AWAKE! Must have energy! LOL!

    So here is my take:

OK so I added chocolate to the color mix. I always view chocolate and black as neutrals and fair game to add to any color combo, just as white, and ivory are! LOL!

Obviously this card uses all stamps 😀

I LOVE the “To Go” coffee image from On Display 1 © ! I stamped, colored and cut it out several times, for some added dimension. The steam from the cut was done using the Fanciful Flourishes © set.

I chose the sentiment in the upper right corner, and to make my pattern along the card bottom from the Fancy a Cuppa? © set.

I just had fun with this, and went where inspiration took me 😀

    Thanks for stopping by.

    I’ll be back really soon.

Be sure you check out ON THE BLOG, what the team did using this color palette!

    Stunning.

    A Year in Review: May

May 4, 2011 Author: mytime | Filed under: Cards, Home decor/3-D items, My Time Made Easy

Well today wraps up the last day of release projects for May!

CLICK HERE to view what’s NEW!

As you all may be aware of, to celebrate the last day of projects, we have a feature called A Year In Review! This is when the team and I all take an older template, stamps, and paper, and make a NEW! project to inspire you.

You all seem to really love this feature, as these projects give you new ways to use older items and give many more fresh ideas. It may help you fall in love or find a product you may have previously overlooked

You won’t want to miss all the amazing projects from the team today:

  • Kristin Eberline
  • Catherine Doucette
  • Debbie Marcinkiewicz
  • Katie Cotton
  • Lisa Kind
  • Monique Hansen
  • Pam Imholz
  • Tangii Crain
  • and our May Guest: Teresa Kline!!
  • Today my project uses a rather new template, that you may have missed.

    My Friend

This is the SK8 Board Box, which was released April 15th to coordinate with the SK8R Boy ©  set.

I wanted to share that this template does offer some versatility, so I hope you enjoy it.

I used the Bold Botanicals © set, paired with the sentiment from the My Little Friend © set for my project.

They were the perfect opposite of what you’d expect from a template called: SK8 Board Box

    The flowers are all dimensional.

It is so fun to color each stripe of the petals in different colors.

As I mentioned on the 1st, I love using black, as it offers a real pop against whatever colors you pair it with. This design actually comes inspired by some new bedding I just bought for Alexa’s room.

The colors are so fresh, and fun. So tween. They match her room decor perfectly. The underside of her bedding has the same colored polka dot pattern which I was able to achieve using the Darling Dots © paper.

I’ll try to locate a photo of the bedding to share 😀

Well that completes my release projects!

Be sure you check in here this month and at the MTME Blog as we have challenges every Sunday and Thursday, as well as our upcoming Digital Release on the 15th!!

    See you soon 😀

I’m back again today and the team and I have some more eye candy for you!

  • So today I have some challenges to post that I needed to catch up on.

My mom’s sugery which was Monday(she is doing well), the May release and kids vacation, as well as a vet emergency put me behind!

Daisy, our 3 year old cockapoo, had the “pleasure” of diving into Alexa’s Easter Basket (which  Alexa had left on her bed). Daisy began vomitting in the morning, and the first time I thought she ate too fast. Then I found 2 more “episodes”, and realized that it looked like chocolate. I began to panic a little, and asked the kids if they left anything out. Amber informed me of Alexa’s mishap (thankfully) and upon inspection  of the evidence I realized Daisy had eaten an entire (large) box of Junior Mints (which are dark chocolate), 2 Reese Peanut Butter Easter Eggs, 2 (at least) Cadbury Chocolate creme eggs, and that is what I could tell.

I called the vet immediately and he told me to give her 2 teaspoons of hydrogen peroxide to further induce vomitting. While I didn’t think that would be neccessary(or that I could even do that) as she already seemed to get rid of a ton on her own, one look at her and you could actually tell she felt ill :C I had Noah help me as we took her outside. He helped me hold her down, so I could give her the peroxide. I used a child medicine spoon dispenser. It allowed me to get into the side of her mouth and pour it in through her teeth. She was clenched and I couldn’t force her jaw open, so I poured it into the side of her mouth. She drank it.Within 2 minutes, the amount to chocolate that came up was INSANE!

We then had to rush her to the vet as it was determined she had eaten a leathal amount of dark chocolate. Daisy is only 12 lbs, so it only take an ounce, and she ate well ove that. There they induced more vomitting and gave her charcoal, as well as a few other things needed to be done. $564.80 cents later Daisy was OK.

As we were leaving the vet, they offered to give each of the kids those Lindt Chocolate bunnies. I had to ask “Are you kidding me? I appreciate the offer, but no thank you. We’ve had our fill of chocolate for one year!”

That was quite the expierience. Thank goodness we were home when it all happened. If something bad happened to Daisy I know Alexa would have felt awful, as she was very upset by the incident. Poor kid.

Anyway….I have a few challenges to catch up on before we wrap up our last day of release projects, so let me share those with you now.

    Pretty Pattern 07

CLICK HERE for details and to enter your creation!

Here is my take on the sketch!

    Bright Day

I used the NEW! Bee-Loved © set for my card!

I colored the daisies with my Copic Markers, and added stickles to them. I cut the bee out using the My Bee Loved © cut file.

I also used the spotlight technique by stamped the flower in white, onto my black base, and matching it up to the colored flower panel! Too fun.

    Next upis the Palette Challenge

    Pretty Palette 07

CLICK HERE for details and to enter your creation!

    Celebrating you!

I had a vision for this card some time ago, where I cut out the center of the All A Flutter © butterfly, and you can see the Fresh Cut Expressions © Collection 2 patterned paper underneath! I altered the colors to suit the challenge!

Doesn’t that look so amazing? Too fun. I just scaled down the pattern and there you have it!

I added the flower from the Bold Botanicals © set, colored to match my paper.

The sentiment is from the Just For You © set.

I actually made this for the Birthday Blog Hop for our team member Lisa, but failed to get it photographed and uploaded in time :C SORRY Lisa!!

Well that is all for today.

I’ll return tomorrow for our Group Post: A Year In Review!

  • Today I want to share another project idea using the NEW! Barrow of Blooms template.

I cannot tell you the ideas I have spinning in my head for this one. I wish there was time to share them all. Let me just say the items you can package in this are truly endless!

I decided to pair the NEW! Barrow of Blooms  with the NEW! Bee-Loved Set.

    Thanks for bee-ing my friend

What a great way to say thank you to someone special!

I used the new pattern called Daisy Days digital paper as my focus of this project, and it also inspired the fresh Spring colors!

So going with the theme, my first choice to adorn the front of my NEW! Barrow of Blooms was to use the Daisy and leaf images from NEW! Bee-Loved Set, which was easily cut out using the My Bee-Loved Cut File. I kept the coloring of then simple, as to coordinate with my paper.

I knew I wanted to create a bee-themed set so I could package up some Burt’s Bees products. I also added some Chamomile Team and Honey Vanilla Tea with 2 Honey Sticks!!

I created my Barrow of Blooms in a sky blue cardstock. I used the pattern paper for my decorative layers. All sides of this use patterned paper, so it looks beautiful from all angles!

As you can see I used the Border Builders Open Scallop © in a pale yellow to line around the top (inside) of my barrow. It added a nice, soft detail to the design.

In the back I added my bow with my honey bee in the center, much like on my bag of treatlets!

Now of course I needed a card to match 😀

I wanted to keep it simple, so I think this achieved my goal.

I added stickels to all the yellow on the paper, for a little bling. I always love patterned paper in the store that has some bling, and I found I could achieve that same look all on my own with one quick step!

You can see some of it reflecting in the light:

I used the same paper, and this time made my own daisies using the daisies from the Fancy a Cuppa? © set, and the stem and leaves from the Sensational Stems ©

That sentiment comes from the NEW! Bee-Loved Sentiment Set.

The honey bee is from the NEW! Bee-Loved Set, which was easily cut out using the My Bee-Loved Cut File.

    I definitely have many sweet

Well that does it for me today.

You won’t want to miss tomorrow post!

    See you then.

I created my barrow from the Barrow of Blooms from a celery cardstock.

My decorative panels were cut using the Fresh Cut Expressions © Collection 2, which inspired my colors. I love that collection of papers 😀 They are just stunning.

For my tag, hanging from my soaps, I used the watering can image from Tending The Garden.I had cut out the watering canwhich was stamped on a rust cardstock.

I added to the watering can label using the flower silhouette from the Occasional Labels © and the little “bee” comes from a new set this month from Catherine Doucette called Bee-Loved!

I’ll share more about that tomorrow!

    Kids wear!

Apr 18, 2011 Author: mytime | Filed under: Cards, family stuff, Home decor/3-D items, My Time Made Easy, Tutorials

    Hi everyone!

Today I’m back to share with you some more project ideas!

I love getting as much use out of my crafty products as possible. Any time I can involve my children and save some $$ it is even more of a bonus for me (and my hubby is happier too!)

Did you realize you can utilize the Pretty Impressions Digital Stamps to create you own customized items?

Let me further explain exactly what I mean 😀

For example, my son Noah is 8, and he is a tough critic when it comes to his clothing. It has to have some sort of picture on it that he likes. That usually means the shirts are ore pricey and once he is over that character, he won’t wear it anymore.

Since the release of the  SK8R Boy © Digital Stamp Set Noah has been after me to make something just for him.

So with that being said, I used the  SK8R Boy © Digital Stamp Set along with some iron on transfers (which you can buy at any craft store, Staples, and even Target!) to create some cheap customized shirts!

    Isn’t this so cute?

    He LOVES his new shirt!!

I was able to digitally color my image (see our video here!) and then I was ready to go. Once you get to using the digital stamps you will find so many fun uses, they really maximize your $ worth!

I purchased a 5 pack of cotton tee’s for real cheap 😀 You can get shirts of all types of quality for much less when they are PLAIN. Plus you hit a SALE and BINGO! Awesome start to something fabulous.

Just read the directions on your iron on transers before you print. Some call for you to mirror the image (keep in mind if you use WORDS) and others don’t. Some are for light fabric, and others for dark!

I personally think you can get more use fromthe dark color transfers because you can put them any dark color, but also use them on white and light colors too, they feel more sturdy, and print more vibrantly than the light color transfers. That is just my opinion of course.

Here is the same image layered onto a black shirt Noah owned but would never wear!

This time I flipped the direction of the image.

He didn’t want any wording, so that was easy!

Seriously can it get any easier?

It doesn’t have to end at just SHIRTS!

You can use the images as coloring pages, put them on tote bags, shirts, onesies, diaper bags, lunch bags, hats, backpacks, fabric covered frames or photo albums,  comforters, curtains, pillows, jackets, canvases…you get the idea!

These projects make inexpensive and amazing personalized gifts for everyone!

This would make a AWESOME party project or favor.

This is just another way you can use your Pretty Impressions Digital Stamps to create you own customized items.

Well that does it for me. I’ll be back with more tomorrow 😀
