    I used a smokey gray cardstock to create the Grab Bag, and layered on the

    Berry Burst © cardstock for a quick and simple project in under 5 minutes!

    For the closure you can use velcro dots, or magnetic one. They even sell adhesive snaps!

    You can package just about anything in here-

    a gift card, cash, some mini liquor bottle, perfume, lipstick…depending on your event!

    I added a felt rose in the corner and 2 pearl stick pins re-colored to match.

    A simple, yet elegant touch for a super swift gift!

    Now onto a project that pampers…

    Today I am using the NEW Slip One Over On Me template.

    I love giving something simple and inexpensive just to say I am thinking of you, or sorry you had a bad day. I don’t think every gift has to cost part of an arm of a leg to be thoughtful OR appreciated! That is HOW I got into this business to begin with!

    My project using Slip One Over On Me today shows just that.

    This gift I have 2 packaging options

    a candle

    or a bath bomb!

    The paper I used for this project I made and never released.

    I used the sentiment from Take Time for Petal Perfection © which was printed onto the acetate I added to my window.

     

    As the name suggests, the lid SLIPS off

    Once the lid is off you have the pretty printed bath bomb.

    You can see the Pamper Yourself sentiments printed onto the window sheet.

    I LOVE doing that. It looks amazing and is very easy to do.

    This is the candle. Always a popular gift, and go great anywhere!

    Exciting NEWS!

    I have some amazing news to share!

    I was contacted the other day and received an amazing opportunity to be considered by Walmart to have my products sold at Walmart.com & possibly in Walmart stores. I am undergoing review, and if I make it to the next round I will let you know! I was told I can share the info, so I am. God help me! Prayers welcomed, that my YEARS of hard work and dedication get me to the place I’ve longed to be 😀

    To celebrate the near end of the summer, and my 5 years of creating templates, we are having a WONDEROUS release of 10 templates all releasing August 1st!

    With that being said, as we await the release, it is with a very heavy heart that I inform you all that August will be our last “official-scheduled” monthly release.

    The store will NOT be closing down. It will still be up and running, and when I get the time or inspiration I’ll load something new.

    I will get back to crafting for the same reason I started it…For the LOVE of doing it, and the JOY it has brought to so many in my life.

    Never did I think my beginning words to the grand opening of my own business would also end up also being my ending words.

    This entire venture started with a simple goal: Sharing what I love with the world!!

    I began papercrafting in 2004, while pregnant with my third child. I needed something for “me”. Once I inked up that first stamp I fell in LOVE! It has gone from a hobby to a passion. I never would have thought after purchasing my ONE stamp, that it would lead me to where I am today! I felt like I found my niche in the world. I enjoyed being able to create my own cards to match my gifts, or the occasion I was giving them for. Better yet, everyone really enjoyed receiving them! I found a papercrafting community online, and began sharing my creations there. What a thrill to inspire and be inspired by others in the world who shared my passion. I introduced myself to the papercrafting community as “my time”. That is exactly what papercrafting was to me! Something that was all MINE! I wasn’t just a wife, a mom, a nurse, the maid, a cook, taxi driver….or any of the other “hats” I wore daily. It was something I did solely for myself. My sanity. In return, others did benefit, knowing I took the time to create something just for them. It also helped me get through tough days. An outlet of sorts.

    I quickly dove into trying my hand at creating gift boxes and bags to match my cards, and present my gifts in. I realized I could dress up the most inexpensive gifts with fancy packaging! A great resource for a one income family! If you think about it, it is the trick of the trade for the marketing industry when selling you their own products!

    Through sharing my passion I was fortunate to work for numerous, amazing stamp companies, where I would create cards and gift items using their images. I was in heaven. As time passed I continued sharing what I love with everyone online. One day my love for creating gift packaging was recognized by Papertrey Ink. This was a company I was creating for at the time. In October 2008 I was able to produce a line of printable templates through their company called My Timeless Templates ©.

    This was a true dream come true for me. Now all the boxes and items I created could be recreated, easily by others! 

    Over time, my dreams expanded and it was time move on, so I could pursue my ultimate dream! That dream was having my own store for all my template creations, with coordinating stamps and papers! I wanted to continue my passion for sharing what I love with the world, and make it easy and affordable, and you know what? I DID!! My Time Made Easy ™ LLC was opened, and started with great success.

    Just as I came to a crossroads then, I am at yet another today. My love for paper crafting turned business has been an amazing adventure, but it is far more involved than anyone could ever image. I no longer have the time to blog, craft for “fun” or do much of anything that doesn’t pertain to the business. Unlike many companies I run much of if myself with the help of my web designer, and the occasional stamp/paper designer.

    It is an amazing accomplishment to turn an opportunity into a full business, but that doesn’t come without a “cost”. The largest cost is time with family and the ability to truly get a day “off”. Then there are people in the industry continuously feeding off your innovations, people stealing your ideas, and undercutting you at every turn. While I would try to work harder, it just isn’t worth the sacrifices.

    Something I have loved and enjoyed for so long has turned into something I HAD to do. It has become a source of anxiety and stress. It has become heart breaking and upsetting, more than rewarding.

    I’m sure this won’t be shocking news. The last few months especially have been quite difficult for me. I am at a point where I have NO CHOICE but to let this go, even though I never really wanted to.

    While the decision of WHEN to end MTME monthly releases came suddenly, the actuality of it has not been that sudden. It has been something I have struggled with for some time. Talk about dream crushing. I love what I do and I believe in it, but there comes a time when you have to realize the dream is bigger than the reality, or no longer worth the scarifices.

    I really cannot tell you how much I have appreciated each of you through my years in business. Many of you have been with me so long in my journey. You are all amazingly talented, and wonderful people! Many of whom I never met, but have become “friends” with, and you’ve supported me along this journey.

    The journey isn’t ending, it is just turning down another path.

    I wouldn’t have had the joy of seeing such amazing works or art made with my templates/designs had I not taken this journey. I have gained and learned so much through the last 5 years, and done things I never thought I could do. I have gained knowledge, experience, and confidence. Most of all I have had interactions with amazing people I never would have otherwise. You’ve all touched my life in your own way and will be cherished by me for many years to come.

    There are no real words to describe everything I feel at a time like this but I hope you know how thankful I am to have had these opportunities, and to each of you for the time and talents you’ve shared with me while using my designs.

    I’m sure I am missing saying something, but I truly type this through tears as the reality of my situation comes to light. I wish I knew what to say, and how to end such a post. At the end of the day, as the saying goes “you have to know when to hold em’ and know when to fold em”. Sadly the time has come for me to fold em.

    All my thanks to all of my customers, whom I truly value your continued support. Your projects you share is what has driven me this far.

    July:Year in Review

  • My project today is one I wanted to create for some time, but had yet to get to.

    I had a piece of the Bee Mine © patterned paper that I had previously printed, but yet to use.

    It really re-sparked my idea of creating a bee hive.

    While we DO have a Oh-Bee Hive! © template, when I was assembling the Egg-stra Special © template I thought it would make a super quick and cute Bee Hive as well.

    Isn’t this adorable?!! I was really happy with how it came out.

    I love the colors, and was thinking it would be the perfect packaging for something sweet.

    The scalloped bottom is from the Trendy Turtle ©!

    No need to resize either, because it is a PERFECT fit!

    The bow tied around it keeps the bottom attached to the “hive” top.

    I added an acrylic flower and of course a larger bee to the top.

    When I created my gift set and tags from my preview project on June 30th this month, I knew I could quickly change the colors on the Fine Finish © set, and add the sentiment ” Sweet as can bee” and the resized bee from the Bee-Loved ©set.

    This was so quick and simple.

    My In Dispensable gift box was made using the Petal Prints Paper collection.

    My label (and 4 cards) was made using the Just a Little Note set, which is a whimsical flourishy image that I ADORE to pieces.

    It was digitally colored, then cut out using the Fine Finish © cut file.

    I made my In-dispensable gift box, with 4 cards for the inside, as seen futher above, but needed a card to go with the gift, so I chose to use the Fanciful Flower Card.

    This is a pretty flower shaped card with several layers for you to build a beautiful blossom for any occasion! Makes a perfect invitation to any event, shower, a garden party, get well soon, cheer up, thinking of you…you get the idea.

    Now, using the Petal Prints patterned paper as my design inspiration I made my flower card base from a vanilla cardstock.

    I stamped on a sentiment from the All A Flutter Sentiments ©set, and the butterfly from the All A Flutter © 25 set.

    I layered the next flower layer in a pumpkin, then a colonial blue.

    The green bow serves as my “leaves”.

    I love the 3-D details of the flower shaped card.

    I also love that I get the joy of creating gifts for those I care about and they really come together and coordinate so perfectly.

  • Here in New Hampshire it has been RAINING, hot and very muggy! I am looking forward to some well deserved time off with the kids. It had been quite some time since I had any crafty time and I REALLY enjoyed creating this gift set with our latest template called In-Dispensable.

    This is one of those templates that you will definitely find to be “indispensable”!

    Makes a great gift for all ages. Wonderful for teachers, staff, co-workers, friends and family. It will quickly become a favorite for gifts to everyone on your list, all year round. This is the perfect presentation for the desk, or counter. Fill it with homemade cards and gift sets that can be displayed in any room of the house or office.

    I was really inspired by the Spring Abound © paper collection and used it for the starting place for my In-Dispensable box design.

    The base of the box is a smoky gray and the top is a daffodil color.

    The window was created, and layered with acetate. I then added a tag using a label image from the Fine Finish © set.

    It is sized to allow you to organize all our office needs, like cards, office supplies, and contact info. You can use it to package up a variety of gifts, including recipe cards. baking mixes or homemade treats. It is certain that whatever you gather up to put in here, will be appreciated for much time to come, long after its contents are gone.

    You can fit your card set both vertically and horizontally.

    There is even an insert that will allow you to separate your card set, and some pens, address labels, stamps or whatever else you choose!

    We have many items that will really dress this project up!

    Since I used an acetate sheet for the oval window, and made a label for the front, to “cover” the back of that when you lift open the lid I layered a label from the Fine Finish © set. I think it looks nice and clean, and professional.

    You cannot have enough ways to present your homemade cards.

    Look at what an amazing presentation this makes!

    June:Year in Review

    Today as we wrap up our monthly release the design team members are each using our favorite older template, stamps and paper, and use it to create a fun gift set, packaging up something for SPRING!

    Check them all out.

    Sadly this will be Lisa’s last month with us. She will be greatly missed 😀 Please take a moment to wish her well. She has been with MTME for the last 3 years. She is amazing and we wish her all the very best, always.

    This month for my Year in Review project I am sharing a project I had hoped to do LAST month, but hadn’t gotten it done yet, but am super happy that I did get to do for this month, as I am making my end of year teacher gifts. Each child had an idea for what they wanted, so I am getting to work so I’m not flyin’ around last minute this year.

    I chose to use the amazing Great Grillin’ © template, and turn it into a Lunch Box for Alexa’s teacher!

    Yes, this IS the Great Grillin’ © template turned into a lunch box.

    (please note we also have the Boxed Lunch © box as another option)

    How cool did this come out?  We are giving Alex & Ani bracelets this year. I am personally OBSESSED with them, as I have 14 of my own, and I love combining them together to suit whatever is going on in my life, or for whatever is to come my way on a particular day. We do also have the For Keeps ©, which is perfect for jewelry, but since it is a teacher gift I thought the lunch box would be cuter. Alexa is obsessed with hearts, so this was quite fitting to be from her.

    So…I resized the Great Grillin’ © template to 119%, so it would cut on 12 X 12 cardstock, and be larger than the Grill. I cut this from an eggplant cardstock, and layered with the Hearty Stripes ©, a it matched the crayon letter R I also made.

    I made my handle, and my front “latched” by using the pieces from the Boxed Lunch © template. The silver rim tag was made by me with a frosted pastic flower, tag rim. a felt flower, and a button. I love it.

    The tag reads “Packed with Love” and it is from the Lunch Box Love Notes © set. I had my silhouette cut the heart from our BFF Valentine Tags ©, and I embossed it with a polka dot cuttlebug folder.

    Simple, and fun!

    Now for Amber’s teacher…Mrs. Rowley

    This is seriously so cool! We covered a black MDF letter “R” with crayons to give to Amber’s teacher. I was going to have Amber do it, but my OCD kicked in! LOL! She did get to HELP, and it was her idea.

    It can sit upright on the desk or hang on the wall or a door.

    This project was SOOOO fun! Cost under $10 to do too. I can see myself making many more in the next few years.

    We arranged all the crayons first (and yes they had to be upside down :C otherwise the pointy end would be to the left, and that is NOT how I wanted it) and then warmed up my hot glue gun, and my heated hobby blade.

    the crayons were hot glued to the letter R then I trimmed the edges with the heated hobby blade for a smooth, and even finish. Tied on some measuring tape ribbon, added a rosette we made, and then applied some chipboard letters we had.

    Easy peasy!

    Many of you may not know this, but this past winter I went back to school to become a REALTOR ®! That’s right! I am now a licensed REALTOR ® in New Hampshire, and have been working full time helping people accomplish their dreams of buying/selling their homes. It is such a great new carreer path, and I am enjoying every second of it. I am still balancing my business, but if feels great to get out ofthe house, and back into society. I am doing extremely well in my new carreer. I am such a people person and I fully enjoy my new role in helping people in another capacity outside of my first chosen career path of being a nurse.

    We’ve done many house themed things in the past, and because of my new carreer I have ventured back to that. me personally creating gifts for  all those I come in contact with throughout the real estate process .

    This template, and set of images is actualy a few years old! I had delayed release for many reasons, and they weren’t even meant to work together, but they do so well, so I went for it.

    I wanted to make something quick and simple because my crafty time is often seriously limited.

    I used the NEW! There’s No Place Like Home set for this entire gift set.

    This is a stunning set of home building options that are perfect for so many occasions. Make amazing “homemade” cards, tags and gifts in a snap! Our door features a place for you to add a wreath for any season! We have a “sign” with sentiments to fit for all of those home “milestones”. Our window features optional shutters, and several curtain/trim style options as well. We also have a build your own topiary, a trellis, and a rose vine, to name a few details.

    I just printed this from a saffron cardstock, and digitally created my windows, which I made my polka dot curtains, and I added the shutters, which are pulled forward for a 3D look. I used flower-soft in the window boxes.

    The door and wreath were hand cut and colored.

    For the roof I printed the Custom Construction Materials ©onto my chocolate cardstock for the lid/roof.

    I tied on my ribbon, which easily slips off, as a pretty wrap up.

    I topped it off with a pretty paper daisy. I could have also used the flower on the ribbon center is from Bee-Loved © , and cut it using the My Bee Loved © cut file.

    My tag was created using the All Tied Up! © Rectangles. The sentiment is from the There’s No Place Like Home set.

    Here I used it to package up some YUMMY products from Tastefully Simple (which Debbie Marcinkiewicz happens to sell :D) It is a Strawberry Rhubarb Jam with a Cobbler mix.
