Are you loving the Papertrey Ink Peeks this month?

Just when I think it can’t get better, somehow, someway, it always does.

Well now you have had some peeks at the TRIO of My Timeless Templates © that are being released on the 15th! I really can’t wait  😀

We have :

File it with Flair ©  Captured Card Case ©  and Bun in the Oven ©

Now I hope you are up for MORE ideas using each one. So let me share some more ideas, and show some MORE versatility.

File it with Flair is INSANELY versatile. INSANE! I totally love this template 😀

File it with Flair Goes GIFT BOX?!

Say what!

file-it-gift-box-side-view.JPG

This is seriously the best gift BOX I have ever seen! LOL!

These colors are inspired by a bathing suit on a TV show Alexa watches called iCarly.

file-it-gift-box.JPG

Dark Chocolate, Raspberry  Fizz, Ripe Avocado, Summer Sunset & white.

For today’s peek I printed  2 File it with Flair templates .

 file-it-pieces.JPG

2 boxes separately

I used FriendsTil the End set

This is a detail photo

file-it-detail.JPG

I used Shimmerz to paint it, and added a Making Memories page pebble for dimension.

So one file template is  in chocolate, the other in summer sunset. Cut, scored, and assembled as directed-except when I made the summer sunset one, I cut down the top by 1/4 inch. So, instead of making it FILES boxes, I slide the summer sunset one into the dark chocolate one-and VIOLA! TOTALLY rockin gift box.

file-it-side.JPG

Look how the curves make it SO cool looking. This is such a great box for a teen.

NOTE: Just make sure you slide it in the correct way-as shown here

file-it-put-together.JPG

If you slide it in with the (summer sun box) tall end at the top, you get a large gap, amking you think it doesn’t go together. So basically a tall end at top, and tall end at bottom. Just ensure you are putting it together correctly BEFORE stamping ! LOL!

I could go on and on about this box! But I won’t. Instead Ill move on to the next template.

How about another version of the Bun in the Oven template?

Now the previous samples are all cutesy and whimsical. Well, what if YOU aren’t that cutesy type? Can this template STILL be one you would use?

Well I would have to say YES! Of course it can.

hello-bird-box.JPG

Sending you a happy hello…

Well how about an more “elegant sample? I ADORE this box!

Same “oven” template. Can you believe it? I don’t see an OVEN at all, do you?

bird-box-side-1.JPG

All I did was round the tab top corners, and instead of using the “oven door” template, I simply made a slider cover (directions for that come with template) instead.

I also punched a window, where I used my Poppin Acetate technique to give the bird some color, and shimmer.

bird-box-close.JPG

This used the PTI anniversary set-Everyday Classics. I love the paper, but for the LIFE of me cannot remember WHO makes it. Its like 2 years old. It match Aqua Mist perfectly!!

bird-box-side-2.JPG

Now you may notice another “difference” with this sample-look at the pretty scalloped base. Doesn’t it make this look like a special display case or a fancy “jewelry” box type of presentation with that added base on it?

I used the largest Label #1 nestability to make my base. I think it gave the template a nice twist. I snipped the edges and adhered with Scor-tape for a sturdy base for the box to be layered onto.

I just love it.

OK now moving onto the third template- Captured Card Case

have-a-goodie-2.png

Have a goodie

As I said before, and I’ll say it again-this isn’t JUST a card case! How about a candy box? These are chocolate cookies, covered in chocolate, and more crushed cookies. TDF!!! I got them at Target 😀 I LOVE Target!

Yes! I did eat a “couple” :C Only the broken the ones!! I gave this box to my dad who came to visit this past weekend.

He LOVED it.

have-a-goodie-side.png

I have to say I LOVE the dual colors for this box template:D Makes a nice presentation, and while simple has a big impact. A great template for mass producing a NICE gift. EASY PEASY!

So I “repackaged” the pre-bought cookies (cause you all know how much I LOVE to cook/bake-NOT!) and now they look so much more special than throwing a box of store bought cookies to a friend-KWIM? I’d much rather spend my time putting thought INTO the gift packaging than MAKING it. If you do both, there goes the whole day! I like to call it TIME MANAGEMENT skills.

I used Wise Owl, Handwritten Note, and Beyond Basic Borders.

I cut my window in my lid PRIOR to assembling!

have-a-goodie-close.jpg

How cute is that owl?

I outlined my Bridal Confetti flowers with a marker. I like the look.

have-a-goodie-case.png

Well that is all for me.

Check in on Nicholes Blog, as well as Lisa, and Melissa

Tomorrow I have even MORE to share. I have been in creative mode for a week, now you get to SEE what keeps me SOOOOOOO crazy busy the last 2 weeks (on top of family stuff! LOL!)

Well thank you again for checking in here. All the emails and comments make every second of hard work (heck the time it take to POST alone) all worth it.

I’d love to hear which project is your fave and why!!

Till tomorrow

Hi everyone!

Let the excitement begin!

Before I go on & on in my usual BLABBER, I truly-from the bitty bottom of my heart, want to thank ALL of you. I am always in true awe by the love and support you offer to me, and so many in the stamping community. You know everything about me and my family (much to my husbands dismay! LOL!) You all let me blabber, and offer so much support! You laugh with me, cry with me-all of it. All over the world! You share a piece in my life, every time you check in. When I get ready to post my peeks every month, you all share the joy and excitement too! Its always amazing. I love when YOU all get personal with me too, and leave funny comments-the longer the better(wink), and I crack up. Some of you get me crying too! Anyway-I just really appreciate each and every one of, for all you give to me during my time spent here. I think YOU are all amazing, and YOU inspire me to keep sharing, and just plug along, everyday.

Seriously-huge hugs and THANKS!

Day 1 of the Papertrey Ink sample peeks 😀 I have lots to share daily for the next few days, so don’t miss a day 😀

I’m so beyond excited for today’s post! You have NO IDEA!

I am peeking a set by Melissa Bickford called Wishing You. It is FABULOUS! My new favorite MUST HAVE set ever!

I LOVE tulips-LOVE! My favorite flower 😀 This set is ALL super cool, fun and funky, inter-changeable tulips that are to die for. The sentiments alone ROCK the house. I kid you not! I had to make myself STOP using it.

Normally, monthly Nichole emails us peeks of the release, then posts our assignments. When I saw this set I couldn’t BARE the thought of NOT peeking it! A total Lauren set! LOL! So I immediately begged to let me peek it (this is not a usual occurrence at PTI! LOL!) Im usually a good girl and use what I am assigned, but this had to be an exception.

I also  get to share a template peek 😀 We are releasing 3 templates this month 😀 Can I get a YAHOO!! One that I have been begged to do for almost a year!

Any guesses?

Well, you will see that one tomorrow.

I can’t wait to show you all the samples I have worked on! I’m just bouncin over here.

But, today I will share a video that features a great project using my FAVORITE set: Wishing You, and my newest My Timeless Template © Captured Card Case ©.

[veoh v17963042FhazMysw]

NOTE: DO NOT CLICK ON THE THUMBNAILS !If you click ON the thumbnails AFTER the video it takes you to the Veoh site. Some of the content there I am told is “R” and “X”rated and you may not want to do that around young children. So if you just watch the video here on my blog, and avoid the thumbnails you should be OK. Not sure WHY they don’t have ONLY stamp related videos pop up, but I guess some aren’t.

Bottom line: Click at your own risk!

I am not responsible for content that links to the videos from the Veoh site.

Thank you D

Captured card case is a template that easily holds your standard, A2 size cards and envelopes. It is a hinge style box, that is perfect for so many treats! The way this template folds together allows you to use two colors of cardstock, giving you a striking look by having one color for the base, and another for the lid 😀

Here my base is done in True Black, and my lid is done in White

tulip-side-front.png

Again, don’t get stuck in the rut of thinking of it as JUST a card case! After today you will see many other uses for it. It will be a go to template for sure. Especially when mass producing gifts, like around the holidays, or for a class, maybe and event?

tulip-front-side.jpg

Now, speaking of “cards” and A2 size, I think we ALL get stuck in the A2 size card RUT!

So today’s video I will show you how to  EASILY  mass produce a UBER cute set of cards (THAT ARE NOT A2 size!) in not time, using the Wishing You set.

I  also did a step by step tutorial, for my formula, for making your very OWN envelopes (ANY size!) to match your card creations. Includes a “liner” tutorial too.

You can see my “formula” —> here. I have had MANY requests for the VISUAL 😀

I really hope this helps you want to custom make your own envelopes more often. Better yet, try this version to give as a gift in my Captured Card Case ©! How much more fun are little note cards?

Today’s Captured Card Case easily fits my unusual sized cards and custom made envelopes! I think you will love it. Well I hope you do because it took me FOREVER to get this done. My computer deleted my first 2 videos, so I had to re-shoot, re-edit, and the whole nine yards of it. I just don’t have “luck” with this stuff KWIM?

OK onto the project!!

This is the close up of the box top

tulip-box-top.png

So I printed, cut, scored and assembled my Captured Card Case, as directed. I then decorated it to match what will be my card/envelope set.

(All this info is on the video, but for written reference) It is a bit overwhelming if you LOOK at the typed up version, but if you watch the video, you will see how SIMPLE it really all is 😀

tulip-set.png

CARD DIRECTIONS:

My finished cards are 2 3/4 X 4 1/4 (fold at top)

You need 2 sheets of 8 1/2 X 11 cardstock in True Black

Score along the 8 1/2 inch side at 4 1/4

Then along the 11 inch side-cut 4 pieces size 2 3/4 (do that for both pieces-giving you 8 card bases total)

——————————————————-

1 sheet of white cardstock 8 1/2 X 11

Cut 2 strips (along the 8 1/2 inch side) at 4.
This gives your 2 4 X 11 strips.

Punch a scallop border, along one side of each strip.

Cut strips at 2 1/2. You will get 4 per strip (8 total)

——————————————————

Stamp flower bud in Pure Poppy Ink

Flower buds in Summer Sunrise

Stamp stem in Ripe Avocado

————————————————-

Now punch a zig zag border from Bitty Dots 2008 paper in Ripe Avocado.

Cut down to 3/4 X 8 inches. You will need 4 strips.

—————————————————————–

Now cut 4 – 1/8 of an inch X 8 1/2 inch strips from true black cardstock, and layer onto bottom of zig zag “grass” border.

Layer these pieces, onto bottom of stamped layer, trimming excess.

————————————————————-

Stamp sentiment in True Black ink

————————————————

Layer completed mats onto black card bases using dimensionals

DONE! In MINUTES!!! *

8 Uber cute cards 😀

tulip-set-of-notes.png

—————————————————————–

ENVELOPE TUTORIAL

Now for the mini envelopes-made using my formula

Envelope Paper Size Formula

1. Measure size of your finished card

2. Length of card plus 1 1/4″ = Width of Paper

3. Width of Card x 2 plus 1/2 of the width = Length of paper

tulip-envy-2.jpg

——————————————————————————————–

I like to use PrintWorks photo paper in Matte finish (30 sheets for $4.99=0.16 a sheet=0.66 for our project envy cost!)

Cut photo paper 4 X 11 ( I left excess due to the type of curvy cut at the top)

Along the 4 inch side score at 1/2 inch then 3 1/2

Along 11 inch side score at 3, then 7 1/2.

Trim off excess on side from top and bottom panel.

Use corner rounder to round top sides of middle panel.

Placing the broken border part of the coluzzle ON the top flap score line-Use largest curve of coluzzle to round top flap.

For patterned paper insert-cut 2 3/4 X 4

Along 2 3/4, align coluzzle to top of patterned piece, Cut 2nd largest circle curve.

Mat into envelope, leaving even border.

Apply adhesive to bottom side flaps.

Fold in side panels, and adhere bottom flap to sides.

Apply Scor-Tape to end of closure (leaving protective layer on) for future use.

tulip-card-envy.png

———————————————————————————

Insert cards and envelopes into the Captured Card Case-perfect fit

Now they are ready to be presented to someone special 😀

tulips-in-box.png

Aren’t they adorable?!

Papertrey and Pompoms

Feb 28, 2009 Author: mytime | Filed under: Cards, Papertrey Newsletter

A little birdie told me……..it was time for a challenge.

pom-pom-birdie.png

Its March 1st! WHAT! Seriously where did OCTOBER go?! LOL! Time is just flying by here. Well its the 1st of the month, so that means its time for a challenge.

For March’s Senior Design Team Challenge, Nichole decided we had to use Pompoms on our card!

OH! BOY!

This item was WAY out of MY comfort zone! Trendy or not, I never use them on cards unless its a bunny tail! LOL!  OR snowball! I’m sorry to say I had no epiphany for a cool way to use them-my brain was just in “stall” mode for this one :C Too much going on here I guess. But, I was happy with the end result, which was using the pompom as a flower blossom on a tree.

Clean, simple, and whimsical-yet elegant I think.

I KNOW! Nothing fancy schmancy, but it worked for me.

pom-pom-close-up.jpg

I got some colored mini pompoms in the kid craft section of Michaels. Many colors for under $2.

The details:

I stamped by branch from Rustic Branches in spring moss and avocado ink.

I then used a punched circle to sponge on some shimmery pastels for my sun. REALLY pretty in person.

My bird (and sentiment) is from Birds of a feather. The bird is stamped twice (using Plum pudding ink)-cut out in dimensionals. I LOVE this particular bird from the set. I also love the sentiment, because inside I can make it say whatever I want!

I used my Labels 1 die on the end of the card for that nice border. It uses a magnetic closure, to hold it closed. I love the softness this card has. The other end used a punch by EK success to add more interest and balance the design out.

I like the pompoms for the blossoms. I may try to use them more often now. We will see.

Be sure to check out the other Senior Design Team member blogs for their creative take on pompoms!

  • Heather Nichols
  • Nichole

  • Lisa Johnson
  • Michelle Wooderson
  • and Maggie Holmes
  • Thanks for stopping by. Despite my pathetic attempt at pompom use, I hope you got some sort of inspiration. Even if its just to TRY and use something you aren’t familiar with in a creation. Just go for it.

    Later.

    truffles-round-top-side.png

    If friends……

As you have witnessed, the Rounded Wrap up! © box can be a variety of things. It can be a character, can have layers, or be very simple! Any way you decorate it, its just so adorable!

I love it because there are so many “little” treats we look to package ALL year, and this really fits the bill. Especially if you are mass producing.

I was inspired by my Prima flowers to make the design for this box-which holds some YUMMY decadent truffles (OK honestly I DID snitch 2! LOL! But thats it I swear)

    truffles-inside-round.jpg

I will say that unless I were giving this immediately I would have added them inside a ziplock bag for freshness 😀

    green-thumb-truffles.png

I printed my template onto Lemon Tart cardstock. Very cheery I think.

I used a clip to keep this one closed, tied with a little ribbon.

Now I just used Green Thumb and layered my flowers for a fun look. I used a white gel pen to add my “dots”.

I loved the colors and simple look this has! The flowers go all the way around. This came together really quickly-like most of my projects.

    Thanks for checking in 😀

I’d love to hear what your favorite CHOCOLATE is!!

Mine is Godiva 😀 Raspberry Starfish-YUM!! Or for a CHEAP alternative I LOVE Caramello bars 😀 and Take 10. Oh and Flipz (chocolate covered pretzels)

OK I need to STOP talking about chocolate.

    Till tomorrow

WOW! Has this been an exciting month at Papertrey Ink or what?!!

I’m going to have quite the creative meltdown when its over.

I have my favorite project to share with you today that I made using my Basket Basics © template (being released the 15th)

    bath-baskets-front-view.png

    Simple Joys

For today’s project I combined 2 of the completedBasket Basic’s templates to make a basket duo!! Just make 2 baskets as directed, then using redline tape, adhere the sides together to give you one larger basket with 2 compartments.

Now you could even made it a quadruple basket and add all kinds of amazingness to it!

I used Kraft cardtock for my template, then distressed it with Tim Holtz tea and walnut inks.

I was so inspired by the design on the bath products that I used that as my inspiration for the gift. Its great to be able to personal your packaging to match you gift!

    simple-joy.jpg

    Its quite sparkly in person.

Spring rain was the perfect color.

The With Sympathy was used for my main image. Sentiment is from Green Thumb.

I put my handle in the back to look like many other store bought baskets I have purchased.

I LOVE packaging bath and beauty products, and now with this template you can save your money on the packaging (since the template is SO CHEAP!! with endless use :D) and use it on what’s inside.

    Here is the side view:

    bath-baskets-contents.png

Look at everything that can fit in there!

    Top view:

    bath-baskets-top.jpg

We have a large body lotion, body wash, hand sanitizer, bath salts tube. body spray, bar of soap and a hydrating face mask! With a little room to spare.

Now speaking of a little pampering and SIMPLE joys……..

How about using our Round Wrap Up! © to package some tea packets?

    round-top-green-tea.png

    Better yet, green tea!!

I know I package this stuff with like every template! LOL! But it really can be a thoughtful gift. Plus its very inexpensive. I love that.

You can get 1/2 a box of tea packets into this little template (OK I drank some so not all shown in photo-sorry! But you get the idea)

    green-tea-round-inside.png

I’m on a gray and black kick. Add that pop of Ripe avocado and its really pretty striking don’t you think?

    Another view:

    green-tea-side.png

This box of tea literally took me a commercial break to make! Cutting and assembling included!!

I LOVE the Garden of Life set, and thought the sentiment was PERFECT for this little gift.

So there you have my peeks for today.

    I hope you enjoyed them!

Thanks for checking in with me 😀

Be sure to checkNichole’s blog for more creative clicks and samples.

    Till tomorrow 😀

    Meet the Moon Family

OK I have the first peek at ourPapertrey Ink countdown AND My Timeless Templates ©

All I can say is I am just over the moon for today’s post!! I hope you will be too.

That is a HUGE hint 😀

The stamp set I am peeking today is from a new sentiment set called Handwritten Notes. It has handwritten sentiments from EACH design team member.

I am sharing one of  MY contributions of the sentiment set –>”I’m over the moon”

If you read my blog you know I say this A LOT. I think it comes from my watching the movie “It’s a Wonderful Life” a million times with my mom, since I was a little girl. When Mary gives George the picture of him lassoing the moon for her. I loved that.

Anyway-its a cute set, that we all hope you will enjoy.

    Now comes my project!!!

    [veoh v17412221edFGthbs]

When I think of “moon’s” I also think OWLS! I don’t know why I just do.

Anyway, Amber came home from school the other day with a paper-bag owl project that was just the cutest thing ever!! I fell in love with it. (You will see the owl in the video :D) When looking at it I thought “How can I make my own version of this cute owl?”

Well, wouldn’t you know I was ALSO working on my newest My Timeless Template © peeks for this week when I “saw” it!! My Rounded Wrap Up! boxlet would be PERFECT! So I went to work.

Now this template will be releases on the 15th. It’s a super cute and versatile template.

If you are new to the templates you may want to watch THIS VIDEO. It takes you through the HOW TO on how the templates work.

Details about the TEMPLATE itself will be provided with tomorrows post. Today I want to focus on the step by step of this project.

    Meet the Moon Family!

    owl-triplets.jpg

There is Owlette the “mommy”-named by Amber. Whootie-the “daddy” named by Alexa

and little baby Owlivia named by me D (and Noah approved)

Once upon a time there was a little pink owl named Owlette Branch. She was lonely and needed someone to love.

One moon lit night, in her favorite Oak tree, she met a stunning mate name Whootie Moon!

They shared some mice for dinner, and have been together ever since.

    over-the-moon.png

They were just “over the moon” for each-other!

They fell in love, and before you know it, one starlit night, then came Owlivia.

They are such a happy little family!

They bring smiles and treats where ever they go!

    owl-triplets-2.png

Now for some detail photos of Owlette Moon

    BODY

Print your Rounded Wrap Up! ©on dark chocolate cardstock.

Cut score and assemble per instructions. Set aside

On copy paper print the Rounded wrap up again. You will cut out JUST the front portion of the template onto sweet blush cardstock. This creates your owl body.

Stamp sentiment from hand written notes-under belly using dark chocolate ink.

Layer near bottom of dark chocolate 1 inch circle.

Cut/punch 1 inch circle from sweet blush. Cut in half. Draw on lid and eyelashes with marker. Layer on eye lids with dimensionals.

For beak use photo corner punch from lemon tart cardstock. Layer onto face with dimensional, then layer on eyes.

Apply heart punched from Berry Sorbet cardstock to top of head, between eyes.

    FEET

Use scallops or flowers for feet. Score bottoms so they bend forward, and layer behind owl body. Adhere body to Rounded Wrap Up! © box template.

    WINGS

Layer 2 inch stamped circles (that you stamped/colored in steps above)onto dark chocolate giga scallop circles.

Score from between scallops to other side, and adhere stamped pieces to center.

    owlette-side-2.png

Adhere to sides of Rounded Wrap Up! ©

Now fill with choice of candy or other treat! Use paper clip or item of choice to hold top closed (if you choose)!

    So there you have it!!

This takes about 25 minutes to make, but that is for a tutorial!! If you go and mass produce these Im sure its much quicker with practice. My 3 came together in well under an hour.

That is HOW you make my Owlette!!!

This is the “boy” version–> Whootie done in green for my son Noah.

    whooie-self.png

He loves green and told me that was what I had to use for his owlette treat holder! He actually thought this was a parakeet! LOL! I guess it COULD be!! I also see making bunnies, and chicks with the box template 😀

Now don’t think this template is JUST for character boxes! Oh! NO!! So much more to come. Just wait and see what the peeks bring OK. This was just one of those “ideas” that popped into my head. This would be a super cute party project for kids even. Its really that easy! You just pre-stamp it. They can color and assemble-maybe?

I love to hear your thoughts on today’s post and the template peek!

    Thank you for reading.

Don’t forget to check in with Nichole and see what she has to share, as well as other creative clicks for today.

Thanks for all the kind words and support!

Owl Hugs from the Moon Family!!

    ATC=Art to cherish

Feb 9, 2009 Author: mytime | Filed under: Cards, Papertrey Newsletter

I haven’t made an ATC (for those of you wondering Artist Trading Card size 3 1/2 X 2 1/2) in YEARS!!!!!!!! I use to join Jen del Muro’s exclusive ATC swaps years ago, and that was the ONLY time I would make them. That was FOREVER and a day ago. WOW! Time flies. We are all now so busy, I think swapping is the LAST thing on our minds (or to do lists).

Nichole had the girls on the Papertrey Ink team partake in a special project-for some lucky winner 😀 Read about that HERE!!!

We each had to create an ATC.

Our ATC is suppose to be a mini  canvas, that should represent us and our personal style. It also had to be signed (OYE! I HATE my handwriting but OK!)

Anyway I KNEW exactly what I wanted to do!!!

I think this is very reflective of me, my personality, and stamping style.

My favorite colors these days are Raspberry Fizz, Ripe Avocado, and a pop of black!

I’m in LOVE with the new With Sympathy set.

I love butterflies so that was a no brainer. I had to make it 3d with some sparkle of course!!

I love flourishes, and tulips are my FAVORITE flower-so I used the blossom from Borders & Corners Rectangle set

The sentiment from Out on a limb sent is the perfect message I hope to convey to the world every day! I try to do that myself.

So this is what I came up with.

    Live the life you imagined.

    atc-choice.png

Aside from my signature-I love it and feel it is reflective of me.

    What do YOU think?

I had SOOOOO much fun making an ATC again. I love to then take the mini masterpiece and layer it onto a card.

    One more view.

    atc-another-view.png

Now time to see what everyone else did.

Its an amazing collection of our personal style’s I feel. You will be amazed at how different such a small area to work with can actually be.

    Thanks for stopping by.

Now I would LOVE to know-

What would YOU include in a mini “masterpiece” that YOU feel is a reflection of yourself , personal style (like colors, simple layout etc) and what you love?

    Friends ‘Till the End Kit

Today’s post features a special new set from Papertrey Ink called Friends ‘Til the End.

I am in absolute LOVE with this set, and have made several things with it already (haven’t been able to share—>YET!) I love the flower images, and of course the sentiments are perfection!! All I can say is its simply gorgeous. It could easily become my favorite!!

I like that the flowers can be colored, or just stamped as is. You can also choose a variety of techniques with it as well.

The exciting news is that this set is sold as a kit!!! This means you get all the components you need to create several amazing cards in ONE kit!

As you will see today—-> Go to Nichole’s Blog, each design team member has taken ONLY supplies you receive with your kits, to create versatile card/layouts to get your ideas jump started! Now you can even get together with friends to stamp and already have a bunch of great ideas ready to go!

I think this is an exciting venture for Papertrey Ink.

    Genuine Friend

    Another view of my card.

I LOVE how it turned out, and I love my layout! LOL!

I’m in love with the colors in the kit, as they have been my recent favorite color combo! Raspberry Fizz, Ripe Avocado, Chocolate Chip and the kit neutral Vintage Cream.

I created a fun and SIMPLE card using ALL the elements of the kit! This would be an easy one to mass produce for your PSF’s! (pretend stamping friends-aka online friends you never met but LOVE!). Just stamp the flowers on vintage cream then cut up into panels. I need to take my own advice here!

I had fun using this Kit so I made ONE more to share today! You know I get stamping, then get carried away!!

    You’re a true friend

    true-friend.jpg

I loved having just one large flower stamped on a portion of the panel. I used the same scallop layer, just mixed it up a bit for a different look. I also like the friend stamped on both color blocks.

Which one do you like best?

I love the top one to be honest. But this is nice too 😀

Well go check out all the excitement on Nichole’s blog.

Tomorrow starts my INSANE week of samples using my newest release of My Timeless Templates ©!!!! AND the first peek of the Papertrey Ink countdown. I have to say I have the CUTEST project -ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK that is just MY opinion but I think you will flip! Oh and guess what? Its all step by step via video for you too!

What do you think it is?

    HINT: I’m over the moon!

    Hi everyone!

Boy have I been scrambling to get some cool samples ready for you this week as we have ourPapertrey Ink countdown! Countdowns, for me are now busier than ever as I work hard to design my projects, as well as share some sample ideas daily, using my monthly release of My Timeless Templates. If you have tried them, thank you! I get so excited with each release, and seeing what you all do truly makes my day.

This month is another exciting one. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Introducing my newest template from My Timeless Templates ©!

    stationery-set-1.jpg

It is called the Take Long Tote© This template will be available for purchase on the 15th.

It is a perfect holder for all those beautiful cards we all make! With 2 pockets to hold your cards/envelopes or whatever else you can dream up, it the perfect tote for anyone. YES!  This fits your standard A2 size creations.

This template works perfectly for this months stamp set release, which I am so excited to be peeking today as well, called Simply Stationery. It was designed by Candice. It is a set that is so up my alley, as I adore making card/stationery sets for people. (Justa in case you didn’t notice.)

This set I made was created using the DELUXE Stationery Kit. I hope you like it.

You can never have too many card holders. As the days go on I will of course give you other ideas for this template too.

Stationery and cards are always the perfect gift, that keeps on giving. Having a perfect, easy to make package, to coordinate is a huge bonus, and really completes the package. It is so nice to have a variety of ways to present/store all your beautiful creations.

I decided use Black, Pure Poppy , Ripe Avocado, and white .

Now upon looking at this set, one of the images caught my eye. It is a flower-like flourish. To me, it was just like my favorite flower-a tulip. I had to use it as my main focus.

Close up view of the tag

    stationery-tag.jpg

My tag uses one of the sentiments in the stationery set.

Now the “with appreciation” is from Mixed Messages. The circle border is from Borders & Corners.

I added the flower element to tie the set together. I love how it can showcase your gift set is handmade.

Now inking my flower with dual inks was very easy.

I inked just the stem in Ripe Avocado ink.

    ink-stem.jpg

Then I used the shape of the ink pad to ink just my blossom in Pure Poppy.

    ink-flower.jpg

Stamped where desired. It went very quickly.

    stamp-flower.jpg

    Now for the tag part.

I made my tag using the Labels 1 nestability, and a rectangle scallop border!

    Here is a visual:

    make-tag.jpg

My white stamped tag was about 1 1/2 inches wide, then I die cut it.

Layered the tag piece, with the scallop border for the bottom. Punched a hole, and had a elegant tag for my stationery set.

Getting an elegant tag is easy peasy!

This is a side view of the Take Along Tote ©

    side-view-tote.jpg

As you can see, it has 2 pockets. One on the front, and one on the back. The choice of 2 is of course optional.

The front panel holds my stationery sheets from the Deluxe Stationery Kit. I folded mine in 1/2 like a card.

Here are the cards out of the pocket-

    card-out-2.jpg

As you may notice I did a scalloped panel. I stamped the flower along that panel for a pretty simple touch.

    I TRULY love this set

Now the back panel -this holds my stamped envelopes to match.

    back-side.jpg

    See the envelope corner?

A stamped envelope is a little touch that can really make a big difference.

Here is a closer view of the card set all tied together: simple elegance

    card-close-up.jpg

Now un-clip the top of the tote, and inside you can hold even MORE fun items.

Note: I just added 2 punched circles, stamped to match to make my clip (by making memories-as are the page pebbles that are in the center of my “with appreciation elements) a perfect closure for my tote. You can always punch a handle in the tote, or use ribbon etc, as you will see over the next few days here.

Tote open to reveal inside storage

    open-tote.jpg

I decorated the little tin to match, to hold stamps for mailing.

Inside this one I decided I would cover a note pad (I got a set of 6 at Staples for about $2). It has a magnetic closure. Designed to match perfectly, of course!! Very easy. This will help someone jot down any important reminders and such.

    notebook-open.jpg

I also included a pen in the set as well, with a little cardstock pen holder to match.

Isn’t that a nice surprise? Not only do you have two pockets as an option, but you can open it up for another great surprise, and more storage!

Well, that is it for me . I had so much fun making this. I hope you enjoyed my peek at the new stamp set, and md my latest template release!

Lots of posting/samples to share over the next few days! I hope you will check in daily to see it all.

Im posting my Sat. Sketch early so I don’t have to deal with it tomorrow. My brother moved out, so now we have to work on getting the play room completed, and take down our Christmas tree!! (oh and more stuff to make) Can you tell I’ve been REALLY busy! YIKES. At this point I may have to decorate it for Valentines Day. Why not? That could be fun. That goodness its a fake tree.

So here is the Saturday Sketch

     Whootin Hi!

    How cute is she?

I just colored my leaves in with my Copic markers. They aren’t suppose to be fully colored. They are like funky fall leaves 😀

Instead of a paper layer, I stitched a faux third layer! Can you see it??

I love the colors of this one.

Stamp set- Wise Owl, Rustic Branches
