OK I know you have all been chomping at the bit here for the next peek at the 2nd NEW! Release from My Timeless Templates © from Papertrey Ink, which will become available with the next release on the 15th! WAHOO!!

First, let me say Happy Easter to everyone! I so enjoy this time of year. I am so happy because we are having my mom over for the day and some dinner. She won’t have to cook a thing. Just relax. She is usually the one always running on the holidays. We are also celebrating her birthday today too (it was the 8th). Plus I get to hoard my niece Gabriella who is getting SOOOOOO big. The kids are obviously excited for the day too, since my mom and the baby are coming 😀

We are going to have a fun egg hunt in the yard, and just a day of fun and family. I hope you have a nice day too.

OK, now let me get this done so I can do up their Easter Baskets! Its like SO late here, and Im already exhausted.

Sooooooo…………………the next template is called “From the Desk of“.

Crazy for Daisy Gift set

daisy-close.JPG

This is a FABULOUS template, that YES! Sits out on a desk!

The idea of the name was because I made this box for my friend Robyn  (I’ll share that later). I personalized it “From the desk of” then added her name. My thought was HOW cool to make this set for everyone?! AND make it personal, hence the name.

You can fill it with cards, stationery, organize your supplies, and as you will SOON see, SO MUCH MORE (as always).

Are you able to see I was on a serious “desk” gift set kick ?

I don’t know, I just LOVE giving and receiving great cards and gift sets. I love when things are packaged all pretty. It just speaks volumes to the thought and time you put into these gifts. Especially when you take the time to MAKE cards of other items, they deserve to be represented properly!!

OK so with this $5 template purchase- you get the PRINTABLE template for the base, as well as the 2 angle cut decorative side panels, and the decorative front panel layer as well! So no fussing with the perfect decorative layers!!! You also get the option of including a center divider panel for the inside of the template. Let’s not forget the EXCLUSIVE Idea Catalog-with 5 projects, that include photos, step by step instructions, and a complete supply list-to make gift ideas even easier 😀

So lets see the SAMPLE!!

Who wouldn’t FREAK if you presented this to them?

daisy-set-front.JPG

This is the photo of the front view.

Here is the top view

daisy-top.JPG

Now I will show you the side panels

other-side-desk.JPG

This is the other side.

daisy-side.JPG

Here is the set with the card sample out

daisy-card.JPG

Now this desk set will easily fit your A2 size cards, and envelopes, but also, so much more 😀

 crazy-daisy-set.JPG

This is the collection of items featured in the desk set I made. (only 2 cards featured in photo).

cards-daisy-choice.JPG

In this set I included 8 handmade cards to match-with the envelopes as well.

I love the card design. Clean and simple-yet nicely detailed.

bandaid-tin.JPG

I altered a Band-Aid tin (for stamps to mail the cards or little return address labels!)

In the box I cut down a Square trendy tube so make the little tin raise up higher

covered-notebook.JPG

I covered 3 little white notepads, so you can keep notes, or jot down addresses or events!

I think this is so pretty.

Here is the flower detail on the box

daisy-flower-detail.JPG

I stamped it on vellum cardstock, dry embossed from the back, then colored with varying shades of Copic markers.

I then layered the 2 flowers, and added a button center! I love this box.

items-out.JPG

Now this is a photo with the band aid tin and notebook out.

Supplies:

From the Desk of template

Stamps: Friends Till the end , Everyday Classics (unavailable for purchase-Anniversary set)

Cardstock: Hibiscus Burst, Vellum cardstock

Patterned Paper:2008 Bitty Dots, Friends til the end

Ink: Black

Buttons in true black

Trendy Tube (not shown)

Copic markers

circle punches

May Arts velvet ric rac ribbon

Band Aid tin

There is the option of adding a divider panel in the center, as I did use for this project.

So……………what do you think?

Do you like it? LOVE it? Not sure if you NEED it?

Well, then lets do another project!

choice-in-box-close.JPG

This one used JUST the template base as a gift box.

poppy-side.JPG

Now I think THIS alone is FABULOUS.

That is what is SOOOOO great about the templates. The IDEA of WHAT kind of gift presentation is done for you. That is the hardest part. All YOU have to do is decorate it, in your own style. Personalized gifts, every time. IN MINUTES!!

Anyone who has bought a template Im certain, can say they were amazed at how fast and easy these are to put together. Its made many ONLY card makers GIFT makers! From little kids to beginner stampers, to seasoned paper crafters. You have not idea how much hearing stuff like that means to me. It means MY DREAM of helping everyone be able to make more affordable gifts, has become a reality!

Now looking at this in a GIFT BOX way, I’m sure your brain gets FLOODED with ideas. If not, no worries! Over the enxt few days I will share MANY ideas for this template that is sure to spark SOMETHING that suits your own creative ventures in gift giving.

Here is the detail photo

poppy-box-detail.JPG

I love the cut out flowers. I airbrushed the originally white panel, so soften it, and layer onto my Amethyst box base.

another-detail.JPG

Having the decorative cut out templates makes what would be the hard work, easy. No messing up and cutting 6 pieces to make it all perfect! I already did that for you! LOL!

Now what to put IN the box?!

choice-set-poppy.JPG

How about a dual planter, with paper flowers!

I got this mini plater at the Christmas Tree Shop! I knew I wouldn’t DIRTY it up with REAL flowers that I could kill! LOL! So I make a paper bouquet, based on a seed packet of flowers I purchased *just* for flower inspiration!

Here is the basket

poppy-basket-side.JPG

I have to say I jumped up and down when this was completed.

side-poppy-basket.JPG

How much more pretty can paper flowers be? I mean REALLY!

What a great MAIL-ABLE, gift! No wilting, no watering.

tag-detail.JPG

Now you may not believe that it actually FITS in the box!

But, it does, I swear!

poppy-in.JPG

See!

poppy-box-plant-in.JPG

Its just so pretty in here

in-box-close.JPG

And a side view so you see its not SQUISHED in there. It fits perfectly.

poppy-in-box.JPG

That hardest part to remember is to NOT pick up the handle! To carry the box base. If you pick up the handle then the flower planter, obviously comes out.

Supplies:

From the Desk Of template

Stamps: Remember

Cardstock: Amethyst (non-PTI) White, Plum Pudding

Ink:True Black, amethyst, plum pudding, lavendar moon

Ribbon: Plum Pudding Satin, leaf couture ribbon

Buttons in true black

Copic markers/air gun

Adhesive pearls

Martha Stewart Butterfly punch, scallop circle punch, circle punch

planter

various punches

So there you have it! My first peeks of “From the Desk of“! One being a desk set, and the other SO NOT a desk set, but rather a gift box. A very pretty gift box at that.

The ideas for this one are ENDLESS!

Add ribbon handles, punch a handle in the back-put them together…………….OOPS! I gave away another peek idea!

More on that tomorrow 😀 and many more ideas to follow.

Now you know WHY I’m so insanely busy 😀

So PLEASE share your thoughts on this here! I love to hear what you think. Plus I busted my butt on these samples, so its nice to know if you like them 😀 I think we all like that validation at times. After the loss of mojo I had post surgery it was hard getting back into it. I’m actually still struggling a bit to get caught up, but it will happen………….. eventually!

In the meantime, check out Kelly’s blog for her peek at this template D

Also check in on Nichole, Dawn , Heather and Lisa,as they are all sharing samples too!

Enjoy the holiday.

Till tomorrow…..

Do you get totally stumped when it comes to Sports, or anything related to it? Like GIFT ideas?!

Well, then MAYBE today’s post will help you out with some ideas. I have to admit this really stumped me! Not be sporty and all. Despite my sporty inabilities, the set is really cool, and great for ANY sport.

My kids play soccer, basketball, baseball and dance. None of that ambition comes from me. Now DANCE is so up my alley, all the other sports, not so much. So when it comes time to highlight that Im usually just as clueless as the next valley girl!! LOL! I swear I sit there there during the games absolutely clueless. Granted I do know WHEN my kids score (hahahhaha), but that is usually it.

Nichole gave the team a challenge to take Team Spirit to a new level, and create some sort of card and gift centered around SPORTS.

This group post today features Heather’s new stamp set is called All Star Team & Additions.

I decided on making a gift for a Soccer Coach (since my hubby Jay is the kids soccer coach, and I enjoy that sport most)

I took my NEWEST template Get a Handle On It-and made a Sports Jersey themed gift box.

coach-other-ide.JPG

Now how cool is that?!!!!!!!! I told you this one was versatile! You can add about anything to the FRONT of the box. Like the baby onesies 😀

PS-NOW I KNOW you are DYING to see the next template-that will be posted TOMORROW! I will share a COUPLE samples with the template you have NOT seen yet. Trust me, its heaven! I’ve been bustin my hiney 😀

I just made my box, as directed, then made my Sports Jersey panel, and adhered it to the front of my box! I love it!!

box-side.JPG

Now the hanging whistle is totally cool to me too. Really makes the gift.

NOTE: I removed the original string (and put it in the box) so it would look more like it belonged on my box. Plus I could shorten it.

coach-gift.JPG

The All Star is embossed with white EP.

My BIG gift idea was to get a whistle, and have the team pitch in, to get it engraved! Things Rememberedengraves ANYTHING you want (for a price of course! LOL!). Its a great keepsake, that the entire team can give. Since the engraving isn’t THAT pricey on a small item such as this-you can put any extra 4 collected towards a gift card or other gift item, and put that IN the box 😀

Side view

shirt-top-side.JPG

When you open the box……

inside-sport-box.JPG

You see the mini jersey card

shirt-card.JPG

Inside the mini jersey card- is a gift card to a sporting goods store.

shirt-card-side.JPG

Now, also in the box is the gift of a Sports Watch/Timer.

gift-sports.JPG

Every coach needs a good one of those.

So this is the set together-Gift box and card.

coach-gift-set.JPG

I’ll be putting the gift box/whistle up on my Etsy Store sometime soon!!

Supplies: www.papertreyink.com

Get a Handle On It Template

Stamps: All Star Team & Accessories

Now for the questions, answered! Many of you asked HOW this template opens! So I figured I’d share.

bloomin-handle-on-it.JPG

I made this box using the Get a Handle On It template, and the Everyday Classics (PTI anniversary set)

As I told you, the handles fold in first, then the sides fold in to hold it closed

opening-box-top.JPG

Now this is the box, unfolded.

opening-other-side.JPG

Its REALLY cute.

I LOVE that the largest Scallop Square nestability fits PERFECTLY on the bottom too 😀 Make a nice finished look if you want it, with NO FUSS.

Supplies:

Stamps: Everyday Classics

Template: Get a Handle On It

Cardstock: Ripe Avocado, Dark Chocolate, Snow White, Vellum

Ink: Ripe Avocado, Dark chocolate, Melon Berry

Punch: Martha Stewart butterfly

Ribbon-chocolate twill

Large scallop nestability

  •  Till tomorrow!

    Well its the 10th already!

    Can I get a WAHOO!!!

Im so not ready, but I’ll do my best to keep up this week. Having 2 weeks “off” from stamping, KILLED my time and assignments schedule. Oh, yeah, and my MOJO! Not too happy about that.

Its S-L-O-W-L-Y making a come back.

Every month- during this week, I feel like Tigger from Winnie the Pooh! LOL! Just bouncin with excitement! Seriously. This usually gets me motivated to kick my own butt! We shall see.

Time to share a sample using a My Timeless Template© , and of course, a new stamp set called Scattered Showers,  with you all!

You have had a view of this template a few weeks ago-it is called Get a Handle On It ©

This is due for release on the 15th.

    purple-box.JPG

Get a Handle On It © is the perfect box for SO MANY great gift ideas-as you will SOON find out for yourself!

Its a SUPER cute box, that has fun, cut out side panels, in which the box handle pops through.

I can’t tell you enough how much I love this particular template! LOVE!

Its cute, and perfect size. I love that the largest square nestability PERFECTLY layers on the bottom of this too, for great finishing touch.

    top-umbrella-box.JPG

Looks can be deceiving. You may think this is a SMALL box.

Well, NO! Its actually quite a nice size-measuring 3 1/2 inches squared.

This allows you to fit some awesome stuff in there. When we used this box at Stamp New England, we were all able to fit over 38 bite size chocolate candy bars/pieces. Now that ROCKS!

Wait till you see the box of beauty that I put in this creation! The little umbrella makes the perfect image since we are using this box/gift to brighten someone’s day. You will want to start making one for anyone you know- weather they are  celebrating something, or not feeling well. Any excuse will do!! It is sure to make someone’s day-rain or shine 😀

    top-box.JPG

So today I am sharing a video that shows the SIMPLE technique I used for my Get a Handle On It © project

I’m calling it the “window treatment” because it allows us to add interest, and color to the windows of our boxes, or other projects, that may use acetate. Getting a small peek at what is IN your gift is so fun! Now you can make your “window” even prettier.

    umbrella-box.JPG

Here is the close up view of my “window treatment”.

This is where the Scattered Showers Stamp set comes in. It was PERFECT for this technique of dressing up the window of my box.

I used Papertrey Inks Clearly Creative Cardstock for my window.

You just stamp your image with White Stazon.

Then use your Souffle Gel pens, to color the acetate, from the back.

This gives you nice color on your window, and a great fresh look! Cute eh?

Now when you OPEN the box, this is the SURPRISE inside 😀

    flowers-in-box.JPG

    Now we take it out……..

    booty-close.JPG

This is what you are getting IN the box!

    flower-purple-set.JPG

A bitty baby booty blooms box-(say that 5′x fast).

Its a nice little gift, instead of giving FRESH flowers, that wilt and die, you can give them this.

I decorated the large square tin, that I made 5 baby booty flowers for.

A sprinkle of glitter-and VIOLA!  A gorgeous gift, or party favor-completely perfect in the gift box-which is a gift in itself.

     close-set.JPG

The large square tin fits perfectly into the Get a Handle On It box.

    booty3.JPG

Isn’t it so pretty? Simple and elegant.

     booty-front.JPG

Perfect size to keep on a desk!

Did you think that something like this could fit in the box?! Well it DOES!

Here is the close up of the little booty buds I made 😀

    booty-close-up.JPG

    Aren’t they just adorable?

I put this up in my Etsy Shop, along with another version I created 😀 I hope someone finds it a good home 😀

     Supplies used:

Get a Handle On It © template-due for release the 15th

Stamps: Scattered Showers and Background Basics Dots & Spots-also being released on the 15th

Cardstock: Clearly Creative cardstock, Spring Moss, white, amethyst

Ink: Amethyst, spring moss, sweet blush, lemon tart

    Ribbon: Spring moss collection

Spellbinders circle nestabilities, Prima Flowers, Souffle Gel Pens

    Large clear top tin-square

Tomorrow I have another great sample using this template. I will share the FIRST peeks at the other template on Sunday-the 12th. You will love it 😀

In the meantime, check out Kelly’s blog for her peek at this template 😀

Also check in on Nichole, Dawn , Heather and Lisa,as they are all sharing samples too! If this stuff doesn’t get the creative juices flowing I don’t know WHAT will 😀

As always I love to hear your thoughts-so let me know what you think!

    Thanks for stopping by.

    Till tomorrow……………………..

There is some exciting news about the montly template releases —> HERE, and SOON! we will be sharing something else about the monthly template release, that I hope gets you ALL excited. I get so much from the excitement you all share with me every month, so thank you.

What I enjoy more is seeing YOUR projects with the templates too. I especially love the ones where people get their kids involved too! See they are for ALL ages. SO easy a KID can do it 😀

OK I’m way behind! LOL! That being said, I better get to the point.

Enjoy todays post-and I hope you will join me tomorrow for the first of the release peeks!

These were in the Anniversary set gallery, but figured I’d share them here!

Im so excited about the Papertrey Ink Anniversary set–>Everyday Classics.

This set is BEYOND amazing. One of my favorite sets to date. If you earned it, you will be BOUNCIN!! I know I have been DYING to share samples with it here. (I have a ton more but they use future templates 😀 So I have to wait.

This set ISN’T available for purchase, you have to earn it!

For information on how to qualify for next years set (if you weren’t able to get in on this one :C)

Read the –> Come Grow With Me <– program!! Really cool program. EASY to get in on, and as you will see-well worth it because Nichole rocks the anniversary set special.

So here is my FAVORITE design I created with the set.

    heartfelt-thanks-2.JPG

    heartfelt thanks

    Heartfelt Thanks

    Supplies:

    Stamps:Everyday Classics
Carstock: Spring moss, ripe avocado, aqua mist, teal
    Ink, snow white, aqua mist
Perfect Match buttons,, rectangle, heart nestablities
    Prima flower, bridal confetti

I LOVE it. I don’t know that it is, but I just do. The colors aren’t my norm, but I think that is what is fun, and I ADORE the bird peeking out of the heart frame, with the flourished corner 😀 Add the flowers/flower button and Im in PTI heaven!

Now my other favorite (I can love them all right?)

     sending-a-happy.JPG

LOVE the layout here. From the tag sentiment at the top, to the pierced border, down to the stitched ribbon and scallop border.

Red, white, Kraft & chocolate are such a HOT combo to me these days. I love them together. I actually have to try to NOT use them too often.

Do you not LOVE that bird?

Now-Notice how this set has the same image in a large and small version? Love that!! The bird wing is separate which ROCKS because NO MASKING or piecing to get a wing in another color. The bird is my favorite image from the set. Then I had to use the Beyond Basic Borders (a perfect match in my opinion) for a branch!

I added soe punched flowers, and Cloud 9 dots and VOILA! DONE!!

    Sending you

    Sending you

    Supplies:

Now we have the card I made using my Sketch—>mytimess24

    cupcake-duo.JPG

Who doesn’t LOVE cupcakes? Especially POLKA DOT ones?
See there is the red, chocolate, kraft and white combo again!! Throw in some avocado and Im in heaven again! LOL!

     cupcake duo

    Cupcake Duo

    Stamps: Everyday Classics
Cardstock-pure poppy, white, avocado, dark chocolate
Ink-snow white, dark chocolate, avocado, poppy
    Other ribbon, and adhesive pearls

Tomorrow I will share my peeks-so stop by then!

    Later

    cupcake-in-box.JPG

Since last years Papertrey Ink project using the socks for the “Bun” in the “Oven” project, and now, with the latest release of the actual “Bun in the Oven” template, I am swamped with people asking “How do you make the cupcake out of socks?”

Well I think it is much easier to SHOW you, than it is to explain it, so I posted a video clip to share

Between how easy the box now is with  the the printable template, and this cupcake sock video, you are sure to start whipping up sock favor gifts in no time!

All you need is your Bun in the Oven box template, and 2 pair of socks!

    cupcake-close-up.JPG

Now you are one your way!

Monday’s with My Time © is here!

I have a UBER cute idea for a gift box using the Newest My Timeless Template © release of Bun in the Oven ©

A you know I think the templates are full of endless possibilities! I so enjoy sharing more and more, even after the releases!

    Here is another idea.

    Hippity Hop Bunny Box

    bunny-box.JPG

This is a photo of what we will be making today!

    Complete with tail!

    bunny-tail.JPG

    Is it not ADORABLE??!!!

More photos are included in video. As are the directions.

Think Easter, Spring, Baby-or ANY TIME just plain adorable box! Change it up  just a smidge and it can be a teddy bear, skunk, cat, dog, and as seen yesterday- even a turtle. Just by switching the colors, and the ears!!! Oh and the TAIL!

All you need to get started is the Bun in the Oven template!

    Cardstock of choice

with Ink of choice-along with some acetate

    Some stamps of your choice:

I used-Pond Life, Wise Owl, Everyday Classics, Heart Prints, Borders & Corners Hearts

    Punches: I used

2 inch circle, 3/4 and 1/4 inch circle, large heart punch, large & small oval punch

    bunny-top-side.JPG

I don’t know what to say, other than I feel like I’m on a rollercoaster of creativity with that particular template. SO many things to be made. Way fun!!

    So let the video begin!

    [veoh v18011091ceGsSnrN]

NOTE: DO NOT CLICK ON THE THUMBNAILS !If you click ON the thumbnails AFTER the video it takes you to the Veoh site. Some of the content there I am told is “R” and “X”rated and you may not want to do that around young children. So if you just watch the video here on my blog, and avoid the thumbnails you should be OK. Not sure WHY they don’t have ONLY stamp related videos pop up, but I guess some aren’t.

Bottom line: Click at your own risk!

I am not responsible for content that links to the videos from the Veoh site.

    Thank you D

I had so much fun making this, and I hope YOU do too.

I like to think that these videos on Monday are a bright start to everyone’s week D

As you know on Monday’s I have started my weekly video feature, and I think its going well. I “think” most of you are enjoying it as much as I am. I like making them-just not the other stuff-like editing! LOL! Same as card making. Thats the BEST part-the photographing and stuff is the icky part for me.

I LOVE teaching. Love it. Videos for me, are better than actual classes because there is NO prepping 20 things for anyone.

Since Im such a TALKER its much easier for me to express everything that way, rather than type a journal here. I could talk paint off a wall if you let me, I swear. I think many of you clearly realize that by now.

I also find that most of you “get it” more than my blah blah blah, step by step photo stuff.

    Am I right?

I do want to spice up some of my videos and have some funny ideas for that in the future D So Ill save that, for then.

Thanks for watching the video. I love hearing what you thought, and of course if it inspired you to actually TRY it!!

So thanks for stopping by, and making my day with your words 😀

    Till tomorrow

    Life:

This stamp set is SOOOOO pretty. I really loved working with it, and making the silhouettes in COLOR, not shadows.

    with-appreciaiton-shilouette-2.JPG

I adore this card to pieces. Not my usual colors, but I adore it all the same. I think its stunning.

It also used Mega Mixed Messages

This is a MINI notecard/envelope set

    silhouette-set-2.JPG

The melon berry is the card layer. It opens from the left. I think its perfectly pretty, and petite.

I love how it turned out. I took my own envelope tutorial to make a mini envelope to match!!

    Guidelines Two:

What is NOT to love about this set. I wanted to use it over and over again!! You will definitely be seeing patterned papers from me-handstamped-more often. Its now SO easy to align everything.

I loved making my own patterned paper with this set.

Its GORGEOUS, fun & easy peasy.

    tea-front.JPG

I used the Bun in the Oven template to make a tea box!

I know I package tea every month, but you can’t have enough fun ways to give and store it! LOL! I love tea.

    tea-side-1.JPG

This set also used Mega Mixed Messages-the “enjoy” sentiment, as well as the anniversary set-everyday classics

I also used Guidelines Two, to create a turtle box (also using Bun in the Oven template)

    turtle-box.JPG

This is perfect for a boy! Or get well wishes.

    turtle-shell-side-feet.JPG

Now the back has to be as cute and finished as the front-so here is the shell -complete with tail!

    turtle-shell.JPG

The tab punch are the feet. The box is the belly.

If you think this is cute wait till tomorrow! (HINT! HINT!)

    Mega Mixed Messages:

I don’t know about YOU, but I used the original set endlessly! This one is for those times you wishes that MUST HAVE sentiment set had a big sister! AH! Now it does.

Then I decided to use one of my most loved creations: The baby onesie-with the addition of a bib! I think it looks ULTRA cute with the bib addition.

    Directions for this card —HERE!

Now to give you an idea of HOW much of a size difference there is, you can see the “baby” sentiment on the bib.

The bib used the original mixed messages, then the “baby” in the lower right corner is the MEGA size.

    I love it.

Well that is ALL for me today. I can’t type another thing. This week is always the week my family lives on Mac n’Cheese! LOL! Not that the kids complain.

OK I’m getting some rest before I post my video for tomorrow.

    Don’t miss that one-another template project 😀

    Thanks again for stopping by.

(NOTE: I will return later with the Saturday Sketch!)

I spent a LONG time uploading my PTI stuff and editing this, so bear with me OK!

OK- maybe Im blowing this post up to high expectations, but I really am in LOVE with todays projects. REALLY LOVE

Every month I get FLODDEd with so many ideas for samples with each template my head spins. I dream about templates (I WISH that was a joke sometimes!! LOL!)

OK now I am gearing up for thePapertrey Ink Release TONIGHT!!

Im beyond excited about this release and todays post.

I saved the best for last! In my opinion 😀

Are you excited?? You all got me excited more than I was! LOL! That is PRETTY excited, let me tell you.

I do have some more samples using the templates to share tomorrow too, so check in again to not only see those but the release samples as well. I had a blast. The team really knocked it out of teh park with thier samples. Wait till you see them all.

OK first up is my favorite File it with Flair © using my NEW! Favorite set Wishing You.

This set and Bitty Dots 2008 patterned paper

Now many of you stated how cool it would be to organize your cards in this box! Well you have NO IDEA how awesome and easy it will be. Now this is not only easy, but a great gift!!!

    OK enough blabbering-see for yourself.

    Pretty Petal Pocket Set

    tulip-box-out.jpg

Now this is a template combo!!

The boxes you see are the pocket template from All Boxed Up! Now that pocket template alone is fabulous. I totally love it.

    tulip-box-front.png

I am in LOVE with this set!! LOVE! The tulips, colors, and everything.

    Here is the other side

    tulip-other-side.png

No matter what way you turn it-its just stunning. I like to always decorate an entire project so all angles are purty 😀

    Look at the close-up

    tulip-detail.png

The open part goes in the back of the template, and I stamped the ends with the category of cards I want to fit into each file. I used last years PTI anniversary set for the pocket labels.

    tulip-back.png

    Now is the top view

    tulip-top.png

I tied some ribbon around the set-so I can easily pull it up all in one. The templates do come out easy, and look SO nice and organized don’t they?

I’d love to hear your feedback on this one since I was TOTALLY bouncing over it. I just love versatility, and this template is by far one of the most versatile ones yet! The curves make is SO stunning.

I cannot wait to see what everyone makes when they get their own.

OK now moving on to another Epiphany!!

Hello Kitty!! Using Captured Card Case

    hello-kitty.JPG

Can you seriously BELIEVE how cute this is?

Obviously, my creation is inspired by a gift set, that Amber is giving to her friend Abby for a birthday party she is attending on Sunday. We saw this plastic purse with Hello Kitty stamps, and other items, so we brought it home, in hopes of transforming it.

I think I did a good job making my own version of Hello Kitty with 100% of Papertrey Ink products!

    hello-card-case.JPG

I used a oval nestability to create the face.

I then took the large heart punch, and punched two ears (using a corner rounder on the tip) and adhered them behind the head-upside-down!!

The eyes are the oval flower centers from Floral Frenzy 😀 I added some eyelashes with a marker tip.

I used Hearts Borders and Cornersfor the little heart stamped by her ear (like in the acrylic box the gift came with), and for the little heart nose!

Pebble Pearlescent Pastels made my perfectly rosy cheeks.

    hello-side.JPG

    Side view

This is a take along “purse” just like the case it came in, only it utilizes my Captured Card Case template!

I just punched a notch in the lid, so the handle would fit with the hinge style lid.

I really like how a little girl can carry this around with all her supplies. WAY CUTE!!

    hello-side-panel.JPG

I trimmed the lid with some Raspberry Fizz patterned paper for some POP!

The fabric flowers cover the notch ( I used fabric ones since they are much more durable than paper), an the heart eyelets that were punched and inserted, so that my paint can handle would fit perfectly. I used heart eyelets so if you DO see the eyelet holes they look nice and match well!!

NOTE: Install your brads PRIOR to assembling the template!

    This is what is INSIDE

    hello-contents.JPG

There are a set of mini markers, mini pencils, and crayons on the left-with a notebook.

I altered a bandaid tin, and put the little stampers and stickers in there. There is another notepad underneath.

I had SO much fun making this!

Poor Amber doesn’t want to give it away! LOL! That made me feel so good to hear. I hope her friend likes it.

I loved using PTI items to create a Hello Kitty themed gift for my daughters friend! It was surprisingly EASY!

Now lets move onto a elegant box!

Im shocked at how much I can do with this template: Bun in the oven

Wait till you see the 2 tutorials I have coming your way using this box! A true must have.

    life-bun-box-1.JPG

Close up-I love making a circle window.

    life-box-close.JPG

I am just in LOVE with the sentiment on this!

    Life-is a succession of moments.

To live each one is to succeed.

Inside this box is a scented candle. Always a nice gift for any occasion. It matches perfectly too.

I got a bunch of them at Target 😀

    life-bun2.JPG

This is the other side. I love the flower garden, stamped all around the entire box! This set makes it SOOOO easy.

I was so inspired by my ribbon for my colors. I got this one at My Little Ribbon Shop. Its got such a nice feel to it. Its a wide satin, and very easy to manipulate!

My Timeless Template: Bun in the oven

Stamps: Life, Forest Friends (little flower)

    irreplaceable-keepsake-framed.png

Nichole asked her team to come up with a gift for our mother.

This is a keepsake box I created for my mom.

    irreplaceable-box-side.png

It is enclosed in a glass case. I found this “document” keepsake frame at Target for only $3.22 CLEARANCE!

I have to say when I saw the sentiments in the Mother set, I got very sentimental. Each one had so much meaning that I could relate to my own mother-but this one stood out most to me:

     irreplaceable-sentiment.jpg

I also made this card to match-using Friends ‘Til the End.

    irreplaceable-card.png

    Mother

Someone who can take the place of all others, but whose place no one else can take.

When I saw that, I was flooded with feelings, memories and emotions I have had for my mom since my 30 years on this earth. Its funny that some stamps can bring up so much in a person.

To be able to capture or convey such emotion with a little acrylic and ink.

    Here is a close up

I have so many thoughts about my mom.

    My mom, my hero.

    She is the true rock.

The duck on water, floating by effortlessly, while under the water paddling like crazy.

We never knew all she really did. Not until later in life.

She is an amazing person. Always sees the best in people, even when she shouldn’t. She’s very open, loving, giving, and patient. I could go on and on.

My mom was the glue that held our family together. My father  wasis, an alcoholic. So growing up in that house, my mom did everything she could to give us the best life possible.

She basically raised us on her own, all the while, battling with my father. I guess mothering him too. Taking care of him as he was like having another child. Trying to make up for all he did or didn’t so. He was unable to hold a job, terrorizing our household whenever he could. My mom was always “taping” everything back together.

She was always holding out hope he’d step up to the plate of fatherhood. He never made it to bat. My mom eventually called off the game. A difficult time for her, but it made her so much stronger.

She was there or me, at every point in my life.

She played so many roles, wore so many hats. I truly admire her.

She quit high-school as a young girl. She went back while we were kids to get her GED. She then went to college when my brother and I were about 8, and 6. We made it SO hard on her. We would make her feel guilty for studying and being at school at night. We would fight while she tried to study. I look back and want to slap myself! I really don’t know why we made her life so tough when we didn’t have to.

I don’t know HOW she did it, but she was the Valedictorian in her class. At that time I was about 10. I was so proud of her. Now having kids I don’t know HOW she managed the house, work and us kids, while going to school.

She built such a loving, trusting relationship with me as I grew. I knew I could tell her anything, and count on her-always. I only PRAY to have a fraction of that with my girls. I don’t know HOW she did it, but she did.

She came to every event, helped with our school projects, teacher meetings, sporting events. The house was always clean, and yes, we ALWAYS had a home baked goodie when we walked through the door. She also made a home-cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner-everyday! (That is much more than I can say for myself! LOL!)

Birthday’s were always a big deal, she made us a special cake-every year! I remember every single one too.

Then every holiday was made special. Different traditions we had, that I try to pass onto my children.

Looking back on our limited income, I don’t know how she did everything! I’m just in awe of her. SHE is the reason I became the woman I am today. The reason I had the strength to do what I have. I learned it all from her. She taught me how to be strong. She was the model of strength, and doing what you have to do to get through a difficult time. She didn’t quit, or give up, she put one foot in front of the other, and made the BEST out of every situation.

    irreplaceable-close.png

I don’t think I TRULY appreciated my own mother, until I became a mom myself. I don’t get what it really meant, all she had really done. Everything.

The minute I held Alexa compounded all my mom truly did for me, her whole life.

It was then that I realized how difficult it really was. It was then I realized you have to be selfless.

It was then that I appreciated all the sacrifices my mom made for us kids. Sacrifices she made because she loved us so much.

It was then that I realized she meant when she said “No matter what, I will always love you.” That type of unconditional love a mother can only have for a child.

I still have moments being a mom myself, when I say “How did my mom do that!” or “Oh my gosh! My poor mother! I must have driven her crazy!’

I hear her words flying out of my mouth on MORE days than I care to admit. But if I can have with my own children, what I have with my mom, then I guess being like her isn’t so bad.

For my gift, I wanted to capture one of my most cherished photos of her and I.

    I was only 2.

    irreplaceable-photo-of-mom-and-i.jpg

I just love this photo of us to pieces.

I don’t have as many together photos or her and I as I would like, now having done this project. We need to get more.

Here is one last group shot

    irreplaceable-keepsake-group.png

So with that plan, I hope to see my mom very SOON! Her birthday is April 8th! I will give this to her. I want to do a mom & me spa day with her! I just need to get her to take a day off to let me pamper her!!! She deserves it.

  • Thanks for reading.

I pretty much went all over the place with my “mom” post. I just let it all pour out here. Im not editing it. It is what it is.

So thanks for letting me get it all out there.

My frame truly was made from the bottom of my heart!

Im going to print this post and put it in her card.

I’d love to hear something about YOUR mom or a special woman in your life that impacted you, or taught you something. Maybe a special memory?? I so enjoy getting to read your stories too.

Till tomorrow-more template peeks to come.

OK I have a whopper of a post to share tomorrow with the templates.

We have a big Mother’s post to do, so Im keepin this short and SIMPLE!

    Captured Card Case:

    baby-choice.JPG

    Welcome little one

This is perfect for baby gifts!

I was so inspired by the cutest set of onesies, and baby booties-for this gift box.

    baby-box-side.JPG

I think its so precious, and girly!!

     baby-box-in.JPG

Its a great way to package up something simple for a baby!! A pretty handmade sweater would be gorgeous, or a baby hat!

I used Butterfly Kisses, and Bitty Baby Blessings.

I paired it with the bitty dots 2008 paper.

I had some felt flowers and adhesive pearls to match!

Simple, yet elegant, and EASY gift box.

Now using Bun in the Oven:

    gummy-garden.JPG

    A gummy garden

This is a uber cute way to give some gummy worms!

I used Pond Life for this 😀 A great party favor for a bug/garden/ or any boy event!

I just made an acetate wrap for this one (directions included in template). Another easy one.

    File it with Flair:

    letter-tray-side.JPG

This uses JUST the letter tray protion of the template, to make-you guessed it! A letter tray! LOL!

See! ALL the elements of the template are useful 😀

    letterbox-2.JPG

This will sit on our office desk (colors match the room perfectly) to collect the random mail we get.

I just lined it with the bitty dots paper, and stamped the Tulips from the newest release Wishing You set, directly on it. Kept it flat and simple, since it will get filled with mail! LOL!

The fence is a Martha Stewart punch.

This project took like 7 minutes to make. I kid you not! You could layer the bottoms with cardstock-like I did, and make them into stackable mail storage too! Maybe one for YOU, one for your hubby…. something like that? I like that idea.

WAIT till you see the template samples I have for tomorrow! WOW!!

    Wait till you see 😀
