    5. I am addicted to Coca Cola (not the fat free variety either, yikes) which probably accounts for all the extra lbs I have accrued over the years
    6. I am also addicted to SCS and stamping and I cannot get enough and just don’t have enough money, like most of us poor stampers
    7. I simply cannot wait until Stampin Up hits out shores quite how much it will all be or how it will work over here is still a mystery but I am soooo excited

    Saturday Sketch! And a contest!

Apr 27, 2007 Author: mytime | Filed under: Contests, Saturday Sketch

cake wish Wow! Its already Saturday! I just got this set from My Favorite Things called “You Take The Cake”. Its so cute! You can never have enough birthday image.  Kim at MFT stamps is hosting a contest! Check it out! You could win 3 FREE sets from her store. Way cool-

Now, its time for a sketch from my book! I am in love with this combo of colors, and challenge you to give them a try!

Blush Blossom, cool caribbean, cameo coral, certain celery.

Now for the sketch- Here is the original.

Now you can see a descent difference in that one and this one. YOU may not even see where the inspiration came from! LOL! But again, its all about inspiration, not always the exact CASE.

I moved the bow from the bottom to the top so it would look like a present. I then put the tag on the opposite side of where the flower was. Instead of a stitched layer at the top, I moved the interest to the bottom, by using my cuttlebug birthday corners. In the original the corners were pierced. I also used my cuttlebug for the tag. Since the stamps are clear it was easy peasy to make the sentiment stack, instead of being a line that says “Make a Wish”

I LOVE the acrylic frame. I got it at Michaels the other day, along with the ribbon. I though it was a perfect accent. In the original card I used a metal edge frame instead.

I hope you have fun trying it out- don’t forget to link it here so we can all see what you do with it!

    We have a winner!

Apr 20, 2007 Author: mytime | Filed under: Contests, Mytime Mail

This weeks random winner for MYTIME MAIL  is #28! Cheryl K! Please email me your address So I can get this  mail off to you tomorrow!

    Here is what Cheryl wrote.

    Hi Lauren –

    1) I’ve been stamping for seven years, but not sure I remember a time before stamping! Ha!

    2) I remember my first set was from Stampin’ Up!, and it had lots of pieces, not sure of the name.

    3) Favorite technique? That is hard. I love embossing, but there are so many to pick from.

    4) All the punches, I want them all, and I really try to add one to each order, but it so tempting to order them all, if only DH would let me!

    5) My embossing gun and my Crafter’s Tool Kit.

Check in frequently cause there will be more MYTIME MAIL before you know it! LOL!

Ill be posting some eye candy as soon as I take a shower!

Can you believe Ive got to start Christmas card! Crazy huh? I did do 5 and they are cute. Sorry can’t share- YET! Promise to chat tonight on SCS, and post photos tomorrow of other fun stuff!

    2) Do you remember your first stamp, and if so what was it, and do you still have it.

    4) What item are you DYING to buy but keep putting off?

    Here is my answer

    1) Stamping for 3 years

    2) My first stamp is by Hero Arts, and was a flower, yes I still have it.

    3) HMMMM my favorite technique, definitely faux stitching. and anything that adds sparkle, lately its my pearlescent chalks, and popping acetate, but keeps changing!
