Well its Saturday, and that means it is time for a sketch!
I hope you get some time this week to try it out. Use your creativy liberty 😀
Love that it is more professional looking using the Photoshop. Dawn fixed this one for me and I have next week’s ready to go 😀 Having a team keeps me on schedule!
I plan on using this one again (don’t I always say that?!)
I hope you all like it. Now remember I now have a team of players to share some more sketch inspiration!! They really did a fabulous job last week, so check out their blogs (on my sidebar under Saturday Sketch team!!) if you are feeling stumped and need more eye candy!!! AND if you get to play, send us a link here so we can check it out 😀
Now for this one I decided to use a much loved, but un-touched stamp I had in my Bella collection, from the chichibouile line : Wendy Papillion. I love her!
I’m sure you can see why-butterflies!! She is just beautiful. I am now realizing (upon linking her) that I need more from this line 😀
I know my sentiment has nothing to do with time, but that is what I think of when I see butterflies. Plus this card is WAY late going out as a thank you note. Like the butterfly, time flies.
SUPPLIES
The sentiment is by SU! Stem Sayings. The button are various SEI collections. I picked up this paper at The Paper Tree. Colors are teal, guava and a real red (can’t tell well by the photo-sorry)
I just love it. Great colors for this set. No idea who makes the paper (help me out if you know), and just fell for the un-Lauren like colors. Challenge yourself to get out of that comfort zone!
I went to M’s yesterday and they has some new Martha Stewart and many other fall & Halloween collections. I did get some punches-happy dance, but otherwise not much more to report from there.
Lots to do this weekend. Amber’s birthday shopping, and lots of other family stuff.
I hope to see some of you next weekend! I have my trio of classes on Saturday the 16th!!
Thank you again for checkin in here. I think its great that with the little time you have, many of you stop by for a peek 😀 and even take time comment.
Thanks again!
So get off the computer, get inspired and get stamping!!!
Enjoy the weekend

Lauren,
Your Time Flies card is STUNNING! I love it so much!
Lauren, this was such a fun sketch. I’m hoping to carve out some time to make a couple more cards with it! 🙂 Here’s my submission: http://stampinintherain.blogspot.com/2008/08/saturday-sketch-time.html
I was thinking maybe it would be fun to encourage people to post on Splitcoast in the future using a keyword so all the sketches can be viewed in one spot each week. For example, this week’s key word could be: LMSS60 (stands for Lauren Meader’s Saturday Sketch). Next week would be LMSS61, etc. What do you think?
Such a cheerful card. Your image is beautifully colored, and thechoice in buttons, glitter and 3-D butterly are wonderful. I’m so impressed.
Love your card (again)!!! Thanks for the sketch idea. . .may try this one out. Enjoy your weekend 🙂
Fabulous card! I love that DP. And that stamp is so cute. Love the sketch and I will try to play along at some point this weekend, hopefully 🙂
Great job as always, tfs.
Awesome Lauren!!! Love that image and the sparkle…oh so pretty!!! I like the idea that was mentioned about keywords for SCS. I ALWAYS load my card there too…hehe…and can easily add keywords 😉
Beautiful Lauren – I love her wings…beautified!

Love that card! And you know how I am not a bella fan, but I just LOVE the chichiboulies!!! So cute!♥…
Did you see/know that Martha now sells her craft line at Walmart too? I bought the butterfly punch the other day, it is green instead of white but it is the same exact thing!… 🙂
Lauren, this card is just gorgeous! I love that stamp. I can see why you bought her.
This card is GORGEOUS! I love the glitter!
love the card. I made one..but I turned mine with the dots at the top. And I used big brads that I had.
wow, so many people are on the ball today making cards fast as can be! I will have to put on my thinking cap and conjure up my mojo this weekend. Hopefully, I’ll beback later to post my card.
Really nice card. Now I have an idea of what to do with that paper which, by the way, is Daisyd’s Atelier Toile. Thanks for sharing.
This is just gorgeous! I love how her wings stick out!
So get off the computer, get inspired and get stamping!!!
<– You are talking directly to ME!! I’ve been spending way too much time on the computer and need to spend more time stamping. That card is so pretty, too!! A very different sketch with the sentiment going up and down. You never cease to amaze me!
Oh your Wendi is Wonderful!! what a neat sketch, I hope I can try it 🙂
one day when I become a big girl stamper…. I’m gonna use your sketches and play along. Until then… I sure admire what you do.

Wow! So pretty. I love the butterfly and especially the coloring and how the girl’s wings are cut out. So cool!
Gorgeous!Tfs!Kris
As usual your cards blow me away! Love your creations!!
Neat sketch and love what you have done with it, first thing when I saw the circles was a line of buttons, curious to see if anyone else thought of something different, Love that image so sweet her setting the butterflies off on their own, like all the sparkle and how you have added the extra vellum butterfly 🙂
What a great way to use a bold piece of PP that I would normally NOT know how to incorporate into a card!
I love your work, Lauren…you are an inspiration to me! I have yet to find someone as creative as you :O)
This is my first stab at your challenge (or anyone’s challenge for that matter):
