Hip Hip Hooray! It’s Friday!
No Vanilla Bean Chiller big girl drink for me tonight! LOL! I have to be bright eyed (ok that never happens until coffee #2 at least) and ready to go for tomorrow. I have everything set to go for my classes tomorrow! I think I actually got it ALL together! I’m getting very anxious, and when I am excited I talk a LOT. So I hope I can shut up long enough to crank out the awesome projects we have planned.
I am already planning my next 3 card classes!! One is going to be different BLING techniques!! I’m excited to get started on that one, and one will be cards using acetate in different ways (LOVE acetate!!) and the next, I may do cards with punches. I am thinking of doing Friday evenings at 7pm. Think GIRLS NIGHT OUT!! Plus with summer here not many people want to be inside on a Saturday. PLUS I don’t want to miss Noah’s T-ball games too often. Anyway, that is more up to Michelle and YOU people out there who may be ready to sign up. So you will have to let me know. No worries I think I will do some Saturday’s at 10am if she can fit me in.
OK I am sorry, I’m going on and on and feel like I should be asking What about YOU? How are you, what are you doing this weekend? Feel free to chime in 😀
Onto the Blogger’s Challenge. Make sure you check out some of the talent. Today’s challenge is Animals.
Well I had an idea of what I was going to do………….then that changed when I went to Old Navy to buy the kids some summer stuff. Well at checkout was this ADORABLE coral color corduroy dog collar! Well I had to get my fur-baby something!! So I got it, and took it home.
Well I go to remove the tag, and I thought WOW! I LOVE this tag! I can’t throw it away!! I have to use it. Then I said- I know I have a stamp like that German Shepard! So I run down to stamp land, and find my MFT Gone to the Dogs! Sure enough! I do. But I didn’t want to use that image. After some thinking I used the bull dog. I think its cute. Whole new meaning to DOG TAG isn’t it!! See this really shows how inspiration really is EVERYWHERE!
The bone tag is Friends Furever. I have to say how much I adore that simple image! I really love it, and would have bought the entire set JUST for that image. Heck the entire set was only $9! You can’t get many wood mounted images at that price! Thank goodness the entire set is adorable!!!! Love that boy/dog! LOVE IT!
I punched the paw prints (EK Success) and placed some patterned paper under it.
Now to share about my fur baby! It has been a while since you saw Daisy. If you are new here-Daisy is a Cockapoo. She is now almost 9 months old! She is full grown, and I took her to the vet yesterday for her flea/tick stuff and she weighed and WHOPPING 14lbs. She is a ball love. I really can’t imagine that we DIDN’T have a dog for this long. I can’t believe I let a dog sleep with us! My kids don’t even do that.
She is definitely a CHEWER though. They say thats the cocker spaniel. The rungs of my wood chairs look like chew toys. NOT COOL.
If we leave her home alone too long she will retrieve someones shoes and bit them farewell! She knows how to open gates, and can jump so high! She gets really spoiled because I am home ALL day, everyday, so when no one is around to pay attention to her, she gets mad.
Since we got the pee smell out from the carpets during the earlier puppy days , no more piddles! Unless someone comes over. She just pees everywhere with excitement. Its the strangest thing.
A couple weeks ago I came out of the shower, and my bed hadn’t been made yet cause Daisy was still sleeping.
THIS IS WHAT I FOUND-NOTE: Objects in photo are much larger than they appear!!
In case you are wondering WHAT you are looking at-THAT is a HOLE she chewed into on my Memory Foam layer on our mattress! We had a memory foam overlay.
She ripped through the sheets, and went to town. Now we have a King Size bed, so that memory foam layer is NOT cheap. I had to call Jay at work so he had time to calm down. She really needed to look REALLY cute when he walked through the door. She was SOOO happy to see him he couldn’t be that mad. Who else gets that excited when you come home from work?
Well, I took her to a new groomer. And she cut her down all even. Poor Daisy looked SO HOT with all her fur. It was so long and curly. I would brush her but you couldn’t even tell! LOL! I guess that is the POODLE part.
Anyway-here she is sporting her new look.
How could that sweet innocnet face do all that naughty stuff! Must be the cats!
She is so soft!! Oh and smells SO GOOD!! I was VERY happy with this new groomer. I already booked her next appointment for 8 weeks from now.
I know in 2 weeks she will just look SOOOO cute as it grows in a little. The groomer put the bandanna on her. I thought it was adorable! AND Purple! Hello!! Love it!
I bought her the cutest little tie on summer “dress”. She use to let me dress her up. Yeah! Now she did everything she could to rip it off before I could get a cute photo :C Oh well. Can’t blame her I guess.
Anyway, that is it for today. I have some projects to prep. All my blogger friends I am sorry I have no paid anyone a visit in SO long. Next week should be better. I rarely get out into blog land as it is.
Well thanks for visiting me here.
Come back tomorrow for the Saturday Sketch. Oh and pray I don’t BOMB tomorrow! LOL!
Lauren

Glad to hear you are all set for tomorrow! I can’t wait to get there and see what you have planned for us! I map quested the shop so hopefully I can find it!
Daisy is just adorable – it’s a good thing they are so cute or we would be booting them out the door with their antics! LOL!!!
Love your tag re-use!
Awesome card Lauren…love that you used the label from the collar. Way to recycle girl!
Oh my…I would want to beat my dog for doing such a naughty, naughty deed. Although I wouldn’t, I would sure want to! Good thing you punished her with a trip to the groomer…LOL (my dog hates going to the groomer).
There is no way possible that you will bomb tomorrow! You are fabulous! If it wasn’t 3 hours away I would be there. I know, you should go on tour. Come up to Maine, do a few classes, have some lobster (my treat of course), hang out for a while. Our Jason’s can watch sports, our kids can play on the swingset/sandbox outside and our dogs can play and chew up everything in sight! I think it is a fabulous idea.
Speaking of dogs chewing.. Naughty Daisy!!!!! Bad doggy!!!
Great card too btw! K got to go getting very chatty and have a very messy house and a kid that wants to go out and play. Later, -Molly B
p.s. have someone take some photos of you teaching your classes, we want to see!
No bombing for you! You’ll do great! 🙂
Nice card Lauren! I love the funky feel of it!
Vicki
I got a kick out of your post today. I understand the naughty little doggies that have such a grip on our hearts that we keep forgiving them over and over again!
Very cute use of that tag, Lauren! Love it – so fun!
As I always say to my dog….”Your lucky your cute”. 🙂 It saves him many times. 🙂 Love your card and I’ll be getting these dog items at the MFT release this month when I see all the new stuff for June, which I hear is SWEET!!!
Glad you are ready for your classes. Aww Daisy looks adorable…but in big trouble…OMG your memory foam?? Who would have thougt a dog would have done that? I like the idea of creating a class to show different ways of bling…Have a fabulous weekend. chris
Great idea to do a little recycling, sure make a cute card, love the paper paw prints too! Oh my, doesn’t it just make you sick when our furbabies destroy things, have you thought of getting a kennel for her when you are gone for long periods of time? She does look cute though!
Your going to be wonderful in your classes …But here’s a thought …Your classes are Great for those who can get to you …But what about Cyber – Land .?? Maybe kits could be done ..Just a thought ..
you’ll Rock Tomarrow ..

I feel your pain with chewers – I have 2 younger dogs (both around 1 year old) and pretty much everything and anything is fair game. Their favorite chew victim are my bras – don’t ask me why – and of course, any paper item (especially paper towels and TP). My other 2 are pretty much calmer & settled down and don’t get into much. I’ve also lost to pups over the years: mini blinds, a couch cushion, carpet in the hallway, curtains, shoes, flip flops, and had to pay for 2 library books.
It’s funny – I thought I was the only one who couldn’t bear to throw away cute tags. I have about 10 of these particular ones that I cannot part with but I haven’t used them. They are so sturdy that I thought I would alter them and use them as well. Most don’t think of Old Navy having dog stuff but they have very nice things at a very reasonable price. I’ve bought loads of collars from them and they can even be washed. Must be the fashionista in me – I have several seasonal collars that I change for my dogs. Right now they are sporting the patriotic ones I bought last year and then a new one for my newest dog, Pete.
Lauren, your challenge card is adorable! Love the Old Navy tag! And Daisy looks so sweet! I can just feel and smell her from your description! LOL Nothings better than a freshly washed dog!
Good luck tomorrow! You’ll do great! If you need any last-minute advice or jitter-calming give me a shout!
Oh my, what a naughty little doggie!… LOL 😀
And I complain about the cat making holes in the screen when he climbs… I haven’t seen him chewing the mattress memory foam yet! Phew…
Oh my, Daisy is too stinkin’ cute! Looks just like my Jazzy, who is also a cockapoo! But Jazzy is brown. And also very lucky she is cute. Very lucky indeed! lol
Your card is wonderful!!
I absolutely don’t believe that she did it! Nope, not that sweetie pie. She was framed!
I’m jealous of the gals in your area-would love to attend your classes, but a road trip from FL is out of the question 🙁 I know your students will have their socks blessed off! We used to have a Cockapoo too. They are so stinkin’ cute and sweet. The “piddle when excited” part comes from the Cocker side-they have weak bladders. Just make sure all visitors, etc., are standing on tile when greeted 🙂 We now have a Schnoodle…which leads to this question..Since there are labra-doodles, golden-doodles, schn-oodles, etc., why were cockapoos not called cocka-doodles???
Sorry for babbling. I know your class will be fantastic!!!
YIKES! Daisy….naughty girl! Good thing you are so darn cute…
Lauren – best of luck tomorrow – though you don’t need it…you’ll be fabulous!
*Smooches*
Cute card and adorable dog, but oh my I wouldn’t have the patience for that. I’m sure your classes will be da bomb, I would attend but the commute from CT would be a little too far. Why don’t you come down here I’ll tell my LSS store how awesome that would be!
Good luck and let us know how it goes!
If you decide to get rid of Daisy, I’ll take her, and I don’t really like dogs…LOL
remember tomorrow, the Queen is in control of everything……
hugs and good luck.
Lauren – any plans to offer your classes by mail? I would LOVE to attend your classes but I live on the West Coast. All you bloggers who are lucky enough to live in close proximity to this craft store where Lauren will be teaching are so fortunate! Thanks for being such a wonderful inspiration!
I am SO psyched for tomorrow!!! I am signed up for ALL 3 classes!!! You are going to be awesome!!!
Lauren, Love the card but really love the dog story!! I have two and they have taken over my home! I know the pain of chewing!! After reading your blog for a while I have no fears that you will do awesome tomorrow! Have a great time! Hope some day to catch a class when I am visiting my family in NE. Jessie:)
Oh Daisy looks so adorable. She is so cute. I do like her when she has more of a fluff on her. 😉 But she is still cute~~~
Good luck on your classes. I am sure that you will be great! I wish I was in one of them!
And I bet it was one of the stinkin’ cats that ripped up your bed! 😉
Daisy looks adorable in her purple bandana! What a face!!! Give her a big kiss for me!
If it makes you feel any better my new golden lab puppy – almost 4 months old – chewed a bottle of brilliant blue reinker yesterday – all over my beige carpet in my living room. I also called my husband at work so he could have time to think about how he was not going to kill him when he got home. Of all the reinkers available to him could he have picked a more obnoxious colour?
The card is so great! I love dogs. And Daisy is just adorable in her new “do” and scarf! Relax and have fun tomorrow!
Sara
You’ll do fantastic–would love to be close enough to be at your classes! Daisy is so cute–it’s amazing how much “cute” helps! My husband worked at the Senior Open Golf Tournament when Quincy was a puppy (he’s 2 now) and he chewed part of the collar off his “special” tournament shirt! He still chews but only select things–loves cloth though. But he is so cute and cuddly–just can’t be too mad at him!! Good luck tomorrow…….
I’m sure you’ll do great tomorrow…just think about how much FUN you’re going to have with everyone there! And Daisy…well, what a little imp! She looks so cute with her new do. My toy poodle gets a short cut each time at the groomer and I love it when she trims her ears really short…it gives her this cute little ‘bob’ feeling. Isn’t it funny how they can tell when they’ve just been beautified? Chancy prances around like she’s all that and a bag of dog biscuits!
Love the card! I know you will do fine tomorrow. If I can talk to, 200 kids about thier teetch, you can teach a card class!!! lol
And I love love love that dog. It reminds me a little of my dog growing up. He was bigger tho! Tooo cute!!
Have fun tomorrow, can’t wait to hear how it goes.
Don’t forget to breath & Have fun
I love that card – yes, and I love the set as well. Daisy is adorable! And the new do is particularly pretty.
I sure wish I was close enough to attend your classes. Or wish that you had online classes. You are so very talented. You will be a huge hit tomorrow! Don’t worry!
Sheri
Very cute! Love the striped paper behind the paws!
Very cute card – sorry to hear about your mattress. Her new doggy “do” looks nice! TFS!
Your card is Fabulous! I love cards that incorporate “tags” on them. Lots of great little details that really make your card work. I love the paper under the punched paws.
Sorry about your mattress foam. My dog (Rebel) who passed away in December was a chewer as a puppy. He loved anything plastic. Chewed apart dolls, plastic bags, tupperware, the handles on our steak knives & even an electric blanket (the coils were encased in plastic) but he eventually outgrew his plastic fetish (so maybe there is hope for Daisy!).
Good luck tomorrow Lauren… just wanted to let you know I gave you a little blog award over at my blog! You probably have received it a thousand times already! 🙂
Your card is super Lauren and I’m tickled that you recycled the label from the dog collar. I don’t think there’s much hope for Daisy however. She is a very naughtly dog to chew up your mattress. Shame on her – shame all over her!!! Give her a hug from me…giggle…
I adore your dog very much. Daisy is SO cute!!! What breed is your dog? I am looking for a small dog at this time after having Border Collie dog, Spotty, for 18 yrs. Spotty was my hearing dog to notify me when he heard telephone or doorbell ring even microwave beep. I still do miss him dearly.
OMG Cute project and I have a Labradoodle… those poodle mixes are spaztic but so dang loveable. I shoul show you my fence where Jenna chewed. Why chew on wood? We don’t know.
Huga and have a great weekend.
XX00
Good thing Daisy is so cute. Ken’s dog is chewing everything up, including rubbermaid tubs, and she’s not so cute, just big. You’ll do great tommorrow. Sure do wish I lived on the East coast closer to those classes so I could be there.
The peeing when she is excited is Cocker too! I had a black Cocker for 15 years while she never chewed – she peed every single time she got very excited! I have a 7 month old Golden now – Fenway! He is over 60 pounds!!! Wow!!! Now – he’s a chewer but never pees anywhere in the house!!! 🙂 What can you do – just love them, right?!?!?! Good luck tomorrow! I wish I could make it!
Love love love it! Tooo cute! Perfect card this week! {SMILES}
What a wonderful way to use a tag! Very cute! 😀
I wish I was there to take a class and to give you and Daisy hugs. My fur baby won’t even wear a bandana! He is a lab/mix and around 125-150 pounds. But, they don’t come much sweeter. Anyway, I love the card. Last night I received my new Close to My Heart catalog and they have a new dog set of stamps. A great bull dog stamp in it and some others. One could maybe pass for Daisy chewing on a ball with her hair grown out a bit – I think it is a golden but with your talent you could color her just perfect for a good resemblance. You will have to tell us all about your class. Thanks again for all your great inspiration!
I’m in Florida…so not close enough to take your classes, but I know you’ll be a shining star! I only have cats, but your little baby is sooooooo cute…makes me want one too!
Love your challenge project, especially the punched-out paws! Daisy is just as cute as can be! I can totally relate to a chewing dog. My Cosmo the crazy dog has eaten a peace lily (I’ve now learned it’s semi-poisonous to dogs!, part of a slip cover, a down pillow (looked like it was snowing feathers), plastic bags, throw rugs, a big chunk of a comforter, and a bean bag full of rice. That last item resulted in $4,000 of surgery to unblock his stomach because the dry rice expanded when he drank water. I keep saying he’s lucky he’s cute . . .
Good luck with your class tomorrow–I’m sure it will go great!
Can’t you come to Long Island, NY for a weekend and teach some classes? I can find you TWO stores to teach!! LOL Lots of luck with your classes!!
BTW…the chewing thing can’t be a cocker spaniel!! We’ve had a cocker spaniel for 6 yrs and never, EVER chewed a thing!! Must be the poodle! lol And the piddling when someone comes in…..she does that when she’s excited to see me and/or my sisters. Been doing it since day one! Daisy is absolutely adorable!!!
Lauren, u silly woman you! You will be fine tomorrow! If I didn’t live so fra, I would come 2 ur class! That’s because u have so much talent! Maybe sometime I will try to make it up there!
I am going to try to go to a beach here in Md this weekend! The weather will be too nice 2 stay home!
Take care!
Angie
Lauren, love what you did with the challenge. I’d say Daisy is one lucky dog!
Wonderful card, Lauren! Love how you used the tag and the paw punch!
Love your dog tag card for the Blogger’s Challenge! What a creative idea to give someone who just got a new pet! Poor Daisy…in so much trouble…lol! Good luck with your classes! I know you’ll be wonderful…I’d LOVE to take some classes from you!
Hi Lauren!
I bought some of your stamps awhile back and love them! I’m a newbie stamper and would love info on classes. I live in central mass, not sure where/when your classes are. If you could sent me info that would be fab.
Lisa T
I love Daisy’s summer doo! We shave our schnauzers like that in the summer, too! The card is adorable! I love your use of the tag! Can’t wait to hear how your classes went! Wish I could be there!
I am so loving the “Dog Tag” card!!
Absolutely Adorable… “CUTE”!!!
*”It must have been the cats”….
not Daisy…look at that face…lol
Have a Great Day 🙂

Your dog is so cute! We have a full Cocker Spaniel..she does not chew and never has so can’t say it’s the cocker in her :-). Have you tried a spray called Bitter Apple? Just spray it on anything she is chewing and most times it stopds them because it tasets bitter. When she wasa tiny puppy she would grab our toes and those puppy needle like teeth hurt!
Don’t worry about the greeting peeing…she will grow out of it within about another year…female dog thing and ours did it for ages..just get her on tile or out the door when you have someone coming over. Don’t scold her…she is too cute LOL….hmm…wonder how my hubby would react to the bed chewing..thats a biggie..probably with holding a treat for about a minute..he is so tough with her LMAO … NOT!
In this blog different people have given there views on their pets. Really helpful blog to know about different varieties of pets available. One should go through this blog before keeping lion as pet.

Great idea to do a little recycling, sure make a cute card, love the paper paw prints too! Oh my, doesn’t it just make you sick when our furbabies destroy things, have you thought of getting a kennel for her when you are gone for long periods of time? She does look cute though!
