(this card uses the flower post/leaves from Can ya dig it-details below. What a cut card to mass produce huh? Bow Farme Cuttlebug folders-here)
Well it’s Wednesday-the week is half over (YEAH!!).
We got horrible thunder and lightning storm last night, with a down pouring of rain. The whole house SHOOK! Pretty freaky.ย I hate thunder and lightning. I use to get really scared, but grew out of that. This storm was a little creepy.
My grandmother was always petrified of thunder/lightning, to the point she would close ALL the blinds, and make us hide under the kitchen table, if a storm hit. We weren’t aloud near the sink, tub or window’s.
If it was going to rain, she would not leave the house. It was a very crippling fear for her, and every-time it rains I think of her.
I was hoping the term APRIL SHOWERS WILL BRING MAY FLOWERS-will be brought by that storm. I am SOOOO ready for spring. I can’t look at one more winter image. I need TULIPS, and BUTTERFLIES again.
As for yesterday’s post-Bee brought to my attention that the flower’s were Lily’s! Thanks Bee! DUH!! I had no idea. As you can tell I don’t know my flower’s! LOL! I will say I still like them as Daffodil’s ๐ and think they served the purpose I wanted them to. I like taking creative liberty ๐ where I can.
My mojo has found it’s way back home ๐ When it’s gone-it’s gone, but it comes back with a vengeance. Since it’s return, I am working on SO MANY insane project’s I can’t wait to be able to share them.
Well for today’s post I have some more yummies to share with the NEW!MFT Release ๐ This release is a smaller one, so better for the wallet. There are only 2 sets this month-Happy Mother’s Day and the one I am sharing today-Can ya dig it! I really LOVE this set. Party/Release details provided below.
I tried to use image’s I thought other people may over look, so I hope you like what I have to share.
Ever since making THIS card, I LOVED having my main image stamped on patterned paper
I used the Memory Box paper-Sprout Collection, for this card. The barrow is paper pieced, and is 3D.ย The flower’s are another punch a bunch-punch. Many of you inquired about those, and I an happy to say that I believe All that Scraps will soon be carrying them!! I will keep you posted ๐ There are also some awesome accessories for these as well-YEAH!! Stay tuned OK!
OK so the little flowers, punched from patterned paper, wth liquid pearls in the centers. ( I made the smae flower for the pot card above) The leaves are the bridal confetti, cut apart and colored.
The bird is pieced on an acetate tag.
Next up
I just loved all the little seed packets so I usedย them for this. I framed them in an embossed rectangle-using my nestabilities.ย I like the simple embossed edge (used birds and swirls folder), with the scallops. ย Inside the card is a gift certificate to a local greenery. Just a quick card. I love the clean and simple look.
I think its easy to find what suits you by going to a card shop, and browsing. WHAT catches your eye immediately? Is it the layered/embossed cards, of the insanely simple/colorful ones?
I try to make things that I would buy from a store. Make sense?
Anyway I hope you will join me and the MFT team for some chatter tonight!

We had that storm last night too…ick. I was going to stamp, but wouldn’t go down to the basement until it passed ๐ it WAS creepy….and A LOT of rain. It’s cold and blustery here today, more like fall than spring, I think.
Anyhoo – GREAT cards…looking forward to the new releases coming out…my bank account isn’t, but when is it ever really???
Have a terrific day!!
Hi Lauren,
I agree that storm was weird last night. It came out of no where with no warning and it is not supposed to thunder in my opinion when there is still snow on the ground. Took me a while to get to sleep after it last night and then I woke to total silence due to no power.
I can’t wait to see the new MFT releases tonight. Can Ya Dig It looks like it will be right up my alley. You know me and flower sets! You’re cards are gorgeous as always. Thanks for sharing.
Ann
Wow a thunderstorm eh?! I can’t imagine us having one anytime soon. Just doesn’t seem right when there is still snow on the ground…lol Although a little rain may help to melt the mounds of snow along my hedge and fenceline…lol
Both cards are wonderful! I love the look of stamping on patterned paper, although I never do it….hmmmm wonder why….haha
The embossing on your second card is fabulous!
Looking forward to seeing your new card this afternoon!
These are awesome. I have spent way too much already this month and we have not even hit the PTI release yet. I think I need to get this one though. Then Im done! Really I can do it, I think. -Molly B
Lovely cards! And you could always make the lily a daffodil by adding the little ruffle!
What what a great group of cards, they are all so lovely
I cant wait to see the new Mft set. I love flowers and garden images. Great cards! Kris:)
Such beautiful cards! I love the wheel barrow!!
I really love all of these cards…Talk about easy on the first one…I also love your idea of stamping on patterned paper…You are such an inspiration. TFS
It stormed here also lastnight. Apparently we are going to have 1-5 inches of rain tonight through Friday. ๐ On, the bright side, I love the flower pot card. It’s so simple yet so cute!
Lauren – glad the storm has passed … what I hate most is hail! UGH! Anyway I so love your first card especially with the embossed folder (I never knew they had that) … as usual, Lauren, great job!
it’s settled, I have to get this set tonight at the release party!
I was wondering where the Seeds stamps are from? I’d guess but there are too many places to guess. I found you on Lizzie anne too. You are a busy person. Well can’t wait to see what you came up with the new stamps.
Great cards!
And yes, I’m obsessing over the punched flowers ever since you showed us that book a few weeks ago. It got me to go through all my old punches that I haven’t used for years.
I’ll try to catch the release party tonight. You’ll have to help me convince Tracey to try for the guest designer. She’s so good.
Anyways, I have to get ready for DD’s birthday tomorrow. My baby is turning 14!
I think we had the same storm but a day earlier than you guys. I remember the thunder – loud!
Gotta run…
Hugs,
Renee
I love those cards, so pretty and springy! I especially love the stamping on pattern paper, that’s something I never think about doing! I suspect I’m gonna love those 2 new sets, I already like the Mother’s day one and I love gardening sets!… ๐
So many new (and interesting) releases to come :-), it’s so hard to chose!! ๐
Lizzie Anne is having one this month too, I’m sure you are already working on a stunning card with the mermaid! ;-)…. Can’t wait to see it all!…
Beautiful cards and designs Lauren, LOVE the pretty colors and detail. Hope you are having a great week!
Jennifer ๐
PS I LOVE the tool box and card, SUPER job!!!
I love that little flower pot witht he Cuttlebug folder. Charming.
Lauren, These cards are soo cute. I also thought your flowers were lillies… but, actually I was not sure..LOl how funny is that.
I am also afraid of storm. growing up we lived ontop of a huge hill, all our rooms had sliding windows and decks, it was the scariest thing for me. Now, they scare me but, not as bad. Okay it is…
Have a wonderfulllllll day!!!
the barrow of blooms is exquisite!
Love that embossed bow for your potted flower frame, the little garden scene is so pretty, another great choice in pp! Neat idea for the garden card to give someone a gift certificate!
Two slam dunks! Both cards are wonderful and yet so different, I love that and your cards. TFS.
Your beautiful cards made me fall in LOVE with the new MFT set. I JUST went and ordered it (plus the Punch a Bunch set!!). I am so excited…this will be my first MFT order ever!! Thanks for being so inspiring (aka enabling…lol).
Stunning as usual. You have such flair! I’m with Amy S. I’d love to know where the seed packages are from :0) Mel
