   Good Luck! I hope you get rid of your your migraines. Yikes! A migraine and 25 pre-schoolers… So for boy colors I would love a lime green and blue color scheme. Too weird? It just popped into my head I think because I just got lime green fun flock. Again good luck, let us know how it goes. -Molly B

   My idea is navy, frog green, red and tan. Maybe use cars stickers or cut one out from by land from su. Just my idea. But you will wow us with another spectatcular idea. Well I’ll be reading tomorrow.

   LOL good luck today! I don’t envy you! I usually say no to most field trips these days. Only because I work lunch program at the school and look after 88 grades 1 and 2 kids. That’s enough of a headache some days….especially lately….Spring fever and they are off the walls! Hope you manage okay today! I can’t function very well if I have a headache. Hope that Dunkin’ can help 😉
   Your card is adorable! I love that you used a grey colour. I can’t seem to make it work for me.
   I bought some new Cosmo Cricket DP yesterday that has rockets all over it. I was drawn to the boyish colours….I’ll check what they were and let you know. I’m sure you have it already anyway….go check your stash 🙂

   Yikes – that many kids on a field trip at that young of an age – girlfriend, you’re a saint for volunteering!

   Lately, when I want a masculine color palette, I look no further than where I work once a week – Gymboree (clothing store). Take a look at their latest collection:

   Those colors look like Basic Grey, Only Orange, Bashful Blue and Night of Navy (or maybe Not Quite Navy?).

   I am ALWAYS into Chocolate Chip and it would go great with Not Quite Navy, Certainly Celery and Whisper White. I always love your posts, good luck with the kids. (I’d get TWO coffees) 🙂

    I really like really rust, sage shadow, choc chip, and creamy caramel for boys. I have made some stuff with the Cat’s Pajama’s Cowboys & Indians stamp sets with those colors and I just love the way they look…can go either way but I think good for boys.

    how about taken with teal, tempting turquoise, glorious green, green galore and a tab yo yo yellow???

    another favorite for boys is real red, blue bayou, soft sky and white.

    Well I love the cards…I sort of live vicareously through your girly things as I have all boys…so with that said you need colours…

    My son’s favs are Orange, chocolate brown, Navy Blue, green….did I mention that orange is his favorite…my youngest calls everything blue right now so those two are a must. (my boys are 4.5 and almost 2.5)

    By the way email me and I will give you an over the counter cure for those headaches that I got from my neurologist as I too have them but right now can’t do much being pregnant!!!

    I am a huge fan of the Jersey Shore DP because the colors are great for boys: Brilliant Blue, Bashful Blue, Wild Wasabi, and Pumpkin Pie!

    Haha, I was going to suggest one of my son’s favorite combos: Tempting Turquoise and Brilliant Blue, but Stacy said exactly that!
    I also love to throw in Real Red and either a yellow (Saffron or Yoyo) or a green (Glorious, Gable, Wasabi…).

    I love a boy card with an earthy green, grey blue and of course chocolate brown… or even better is a soft blue, rustic orange and a little bit of brown!!!

    Great pretty in pink card! Hope you don’t get a headache…..and Kraft, Red, and Blue….or go wild and do a Blue, Yellow, Green and a touch of pink! I just did an All-Mixed-Up Ugly Duck and the pink ballet slippers were super cute! My boys are older so they’d appreciate the humor in it!

    Unlike the SU! color combo generator, Kris posts gorgeous, colorful photos of anything that interests her (like an inspiration photo), and then pulls the colors out of the photo and puts the stipes of color into a palette for you.

    Oh I had one of those headaches the other day. I sypathize with you gir. I have a very active 2 year old at home and he didn’t help with the headache.

    I love navy for boys or ANYTHING for that matter . . how about navy, real red, and white. That’s kind of boring but I love the red and blue together. Or Real Red, Brilliant Blue, and Certainly Celery . . . my new favorite color!

    Hi Lauren, Worried about your headaches. If you don’t know your blood pressure, get it checked. HBP can hit at any age. Headaches and dizzyness are one symptom.

    Color…how about blue bayou, (or one of the other lighter blues) with navy and hunter green & white for pop?

    Hmm…boy color combos…I immediately thought of blue, green and orange. Orange seems to be big for boys right now.

    If you haven’t tried it, Excedrin migraine works very well. Also, there is so much medication out there – no need to suffer! (she says as she suffers through a headache)>

    Hi Lauren. Sorry you have a headache-again. Just reading about you going on that field trip….that gives ME a headache. 😉 I remember those days.

    For a color combo-a mustard yellow, ocean blue,& brown. Brown for the whole card. A stripe of the mustard yellow. Then add a square shape of blue on top of that. Or even several squares down the yellow stripe.
    Does that make sense?!? Probably not! :/

    I love your princess card!!! (wish I had a little girl to make one for) I got to a Michaels on the weekend and the first thing on my list was your Bridal confetti flowers I bought white and ivory and the bonus is the clear paint can they are packaged in!!!     Lauren this is beautiful!! I love how you have accented the crown by having it come out of the box. What a perfect card.

    And your trip with all the kids sounds like the perfect solution to your headache… NOT!!! I’m so sorry.

    For a color combo… anything with red. It’s not just grown up boys that love red. I think any male is just drawn to it!! My 16 year old says that blue and white is his favorite color combo. But if I buy him a red shirt, I’ve noticed he wears it first. lol

    I am going to give you…..Advise!! 🙂

    Since you are a coffee drinker like me….
    Yup, I looove the stuff…

    You need to replace the fluids you lose by drinking the coffee.
    Yes, Water, water, water…

    I try to drink 2 glasses of water for every cup of coffee I drink.
    When I remember and have time….
    Which is not often enough….

    If I don’t…I get headaches.. boring hey!

    With everything you have on the go…I am sure you do not get that much time..

    Well I also am envious of your girly girly stuff….as I have three boys. They make me very very tired. In case no one has told you, boys don’t really ever sit and color…they like to run and jump in mud and break things. I love them all…but why can’t they just sit and color? =)

    Needless to say….I make lots of boy things. Here is my color combo stolen from one of the twins pjs. (sad isn’t it….I have to receive my inspiration from the laundry.) Ha!

    Hi Lauren! Sorry about your headaches; I get a lot, too, but I think it’s dental problems. But since we don’t have an extra $10,000 lying around, and no insurance, I take advil and deal with it!!! I use SU, (but am adding PTI each month LOL!) so for boy cards my fave combos are Not Quite Navy, So Saffron with Vanilla, and also Tempting Turquoise with Taken With Teal and a little Gable Green (with white). Haven’t tried it yet, but I think Wild Wasabi with Garden Green and some Groovy Guava would be nice. Can’t wait to see what you come up with! Take care!

    I LOVE your card! I’m so dying to buy that set but I wanted to sell my SU Pretty Princess set first….maybe I won’t wait!
    I totally hear ya’ with the migraine. I work at an elementary school and had my first migraine in about 13 or 14 years just a few weeks back. I lasted one day at school and then had to call in sick for 2 days. I just couldn’t take it! I was in a grade 1 class and the noise….! So I really really hope things go ok for you!
    I can’t think of a color combo right now…I do have a son, but he’s 15 and I don’t stamp much for him any more. Good luck!

    Lauren – hope the trip went well today! AND that your headache is GONE…ew – I can SO relate.

    They took away the access to like, EVERYTHING at work, so now my computer time is extrememly limited…I hate that filter. grrrrr

    Color combo…hmmmm, it depends on the theme of the set, KWIM?? I like Basic Gray, Green Galore, and Only Orange…maybe some bashful Blue in there…but if you’re working with a cowboy themed set persay, I don’t see that working…now if it were a cowboy set…close to cocoa, bravo burgundy, so saffron (or similar colors from other companies…you know what I mean) perhaps, just fun – Navy & Orange…

    anyway – hope there are no more headaches… {{{HUGS}}}

    Sorry to hear about your migraines, I am all to familar with those, this time of year with the temps going up and down are real “trigers” I can’t live without my IMETREX! Speaking from experience enjoy all the field trips you can, they grow up way too fast! I always tried to to make the trips, even into high school, New York City was sooo much fun with 30 teenagers! Now they’re off to college and don’t need Chaparones, at least that’s what they think! Bless you for all you do, I’ll remember you and the class in my prayers tonight

    I thought for once I might be able to give you a **suggestion** of my own, since our Godson’s 12th B’day is this weekend. I took him shopping last night at one of his FAV stores – ”West 49 Store”- [[Skater-Boy-mix-kinda-rock-hip style Youth/Adult store]]. Since he is very particular about his clothing & colour combinations, I thought I could share with you what was prominent on the shelves and in a twelve year old’s mind ….

    ~*~*~*~* Dark-Chocolate Brown and a Yellowish Green*~*~*~*~
    ((Copics E49 [Dark Brown] & YGo6 [Yellowish Green] & YG23 [New Leaf]))
    Sorry I can’t quote you SU colours, but since I know you KNOW your Copics, thought this would work just as well. {*smile*}

    I’m sure you’ve already used this combo many many times, but just incase, thought for once perhaps I could lend a helpful paw :0) These colours are also what I’m designing his B’day card on, with a cool yellowish-green geiko image :)~~ Trust me Lauren, the older they get, the more difficult it is to design something cool and hot.

    Oh Lauren! Have fun on the field trip. I know just what that is like! I teach kindergarten! Two of my fave boy combos are 1)kraft, navy, red, and vanilla and 2) choc chip, bashful blue and cert celery (oooh I bet aqua mist and spring moss would look good too!) Good luck! Love your boy cards!
