OK -I KNOW my title is LAME! Sorry!
Today is quick and simple samples-with MFT!
Remember when I said I’d eventually CRASH & BURN? Yeah, I’m crashin.
I have a million things to do that totally crept up on me-I got so involved with re-decorating the kids rooms (and it continued through the weekend-closets, clothes and blah, blah, blah), that I got behind on stuff I need/want to do. Photos to come soon!
I hate not getting to stamp for even 2 days let alone a week!! YIKES!
Noah has to go toย the dentist AGAIN today-suck at least $200 out of my pocket, Alexa has Chemo Wednesday-that is an all day thing, School meeting Thursday, as well as 2 class parties,ย Friday one class party.
I need to finish my children’s Easter stuff, and Easter things for their 40 classmates in total. THEN-Sew Amber’s Dance costume, Make 50 Wedding invites, 100 Wedding Favors, a few Thank You’s made, a sympathy card done, a PSF gift, decorations for Noah’s room to create…………………mail stuff……..are YOU tired of reading it yet?!
BLAH! So my title creativity is low, and my to do list is long.
WHY do I wait till the LAST minute? I always “plan” ahead, but often finish executing late.
Anyway-it will get done. The important thing is to stay focused and manage my time. I ALWAYS have to “play” first ๐ Otherwise my “have to’s” aren’t fun.
Part of my “play” is coming here and posting. I get to sit and just blabber away.
Well Im now going to share some cards made with the most recentMFT release-Punch a Bunch, and Ride’em Cowgirl
Hope you like-I made them like a month ago! Its so hard to wait! I often forget I have made stuff and it gets LOST-never shared.
Bandanna wrap
ย Well when I made this card, I was thinking of a bandanna scarf kind of thing. I wanted to do something-interesting, and this was what I came up with. The Berry Bliss paper by SU! Is really perfect to pair with this set. As is the star punch!
If you can’t tell I also paper pieced her dress.
Next up-a well, FUNKY card.
ย I wanted to focus on the BOOTS!!! So I did. It was definitely an interesting layout! I do like the hemp stitched up the side, and the way the boot is showcased.ย I really like this set alot. It was fun to play with.
Next up! Punch a Bunch
I finally made more use of my Sizzix die’s! I used the flower pots for these 2 creations.
ย I don’t know WHY but I saw “topiary” for this! So I went with it. I like the color blocked bkgd. This was a simple card, but I enjoyed playing around with the possibilities of using this set a little differently!
Now we have a more obvious use. Kim’s intent for this set was QUICK cards. This one was VERY simple!
The sentiment over the flower’s is one of my favorite!
Rust is NOT a color “I” normally use, but it was a nice change of pace. Plus paired with the saffron and black it worked. The scallop border-punched, is actually the scallop oval STAMP-Its really NICE!!!!
I did sponge the edges of the pot, but you can’t really see the depth by the photo-sorry!!
That gorgeous bkgd is created by Lisa Strahl-its called Dotted Diamonds. I so LOVE it.
Well that’s it for today-Im off and running.
Till tomorrow-I have our monthly Dirty Girl challenge, and it doubled as a BOY card for my nephew who has been ill.
Till then, Bye!

Your creations always bring a huge smile to my face——-> :o) See! Told ‘ya!! And how you keep ontop of all these things you have to do is beyond me. You must do what I’m doing right now ~ an “All Nighter” ~ although I truely do suffer the next day from staying up all night, and I only do it when absolutely necessary (1-2x’s a month). But I gotta tell you, when everyone is sleeping (even our puppy) and all the noise is gone (ie phones, TV, etc.) I get so much more done in a shorter period of time.
I hope you take time to crash so you can get some PROPER sleep so you don’t get run down and end up getting sick.
OHHHH and I totally forgot to say, I love the new MFT’s set, Ride’Em Cowgirl ๐
Wow, do you have a lot going on! I got tired just reading about it! I wish I lived closer just to give you a hand – and/or, to take notes on how you do it all ๐
Just remember to take care of yourself. We don’t need you getting sick or something.
Your MFT’s are wonderful! I love both sets you showcased today. Love the little flower pot!
Gotta run, Chickie. I’ll talk to you later!
Hugs!
P.S. I’ll say an extra prayer for Alexa’s chemo. Hope it all goes well. โฅ
All of your creations are WONDERFUL as always! Such inspiration we get from you!!
I can’t wait for my MFT set to come….I hate having to wait so long for things to cross the border. By the time I get to play with my set, something new has already come out…haha!
Hope you week goes well and all the kids do well at their app’t too! I’m with you, I like to PLAY first then get to work on obligations. Otherwise I find myself not as interested and day dreaming of what I COULD be doing….
Have a fab day….get to work ๐
Lauren I’m sending good vibes your way for your crazy week!!
I have a week with something on the calendar for everyday too, I hate that. It stresses me out, even if it’s small stuff! It’s a psychological thing, I need to see empty spots on the calendar, it makes me feel free! ๐
I hope everything goes well, especially the dentist and Alexa’s chemo (You’re almost over with that, woohooh!).
((Hugs and prayers))
Hi Lauren! Love your cards, as usual! I am sure that you will make it though your busy week with flying colors! I too am stressing about Easter parties at school! Easter has krept up soooo fast this year! I am so ready for spring weather! Maybe the early easter holiday will bring some warm weather our way!
We are in for rain, rain and more rain for this week! Your sharing will get my creative juices flowing! Thanks for the inspiration!
Great cards again. So perfect, and great link to the stamps. The scallop punch you used on the last one is it from marvey? It looks different to me. Well you have inspired me to make a card with some stamps gotta jet.
Amy
Your list is as long as mine…I’m getting “geared up” to do it all by a little blog reading and lol we are in the same boat!
Good luck and let’s get going!!!
WOW you have alot to do!!! Good luck! These cards are fantastic. All I have going on this week is getting ready for the twins birthday party this weekend! 2 years old!!
WOW – I thought I was running in circles – and I am – but you are too! I am right there with you.
How is Alexa doing? I keep her and your entire family in my thoughts and prayers daily.
Please remember to make time for yourself. You have to take care of everyone and if you are not taking care of yourself you won’t do anyone any good!
Ok I am done lecturing.
Your cards are great – love the colors, they are fun and very creative.
Thanks for sharing.
Annette
Good Afternoon Lauren~ Love the cards, and it is so much fun to create before we have to do the daily grind..I so miss being a stay at home mom…but we all know that we stay busy all the time.Good luck with your list of to-does..hugs, chris
How intricate it was to paperpiece that cowgirl’s dress — lots of trimming to show her arm and the lasso.
Best wishes while you attack the to-do’s.
Wow, Lauren, everything is fantastic!! You have a super crazy week, I hope all goes well! I love the Ride Em Cowgirl set, great work:-)
Boy I thought my to do list was long but it’s not even close to yours hope every thing works out well for you and I love the cards so cute.
I don’t get tired of reading about what you have to do, I just don’t know how you do it all. It makes ME anxious for YOU, LOL!!
I love, love, love you cards. You have so many special elements added to them. The colors are beautiiful, I love the 3D items, and each one has an awesome look. I thought Lisa’s bckgrnd stamp was patterned paper! Excellent work, TFS.
So Love the hankerchief one, neat piercing too. Love the hemp stitching On these boots card, very cool! Love the potted flowers, epecially the last one with the arched sentiment!
Wow doesn’t sound like you have enough going on….NOT! I don’t know if I could do all that you do and still create! Hope the rest of your week goes well!
Wow, I found your blog via Inspirations, your work is just fantastic, I have browsed for an hour! I feel tired just thinking of what you have to get done in the next couple of days, hope it all works out for you. I am adding your blog to my favourites list if you don’t mind.
Hang in there, sweetie! I’ll be thinking of you.
The cards are just beautiful (as always).
Oh wow…just reading your first paragraph totally exhausted me! :0
But I napped for a moment, and feasted on your delicious goodies. I would love to be a 1/4 as good as you!
If you ever can, would you give us a peek into your stamping room! I always like seeing where this talent happens!
Jules
Absolutely LOVE your MFT cards! Can’t say that I’m a fan (the headless images really irritate me), but I just LOVE what you did with them!
Thanks so much for sharing your creativity and your life with us!
OH, Lauren! Bless your heart! I don’t know how you get ot all done, and with such grace and style too! You’re amazing–and so are your cards–every single one of them!
I love the topiary tree with the color blocking and the oval sentiment over the flowers and fun flower pot!
