I’m BAAAACCCCKKKKKK!!!!!
Jason and the kids are playing Wii. I am all gamed out. So here I am, back to chat it up ๐
OK I LOVE this card ๐ I love the colors, and the layout. I love the use of the felt flowers. All of it.
Banana, Chocolate, Not Quite Navy, Ruby Red, and Olive.
I also love Gina’s set-How Sweet it is!ย (the sentiment is a rub-on by Making Memories) .The best part of this set is that itย benefits The American Diabetes Association and the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. $7.00 of every set sold is divided evenly between these two organizations. This set is available with wood blocks or on cling cushion. Click on the options button to make your choice.
That is cool. I am all about working to make a difference, and if buying something I love and will use, helps too, then that is a HUGE bonus ๐
When I saw this paper-I want to say its by American Crafts-but am unsure :C, I thought of this set immediately.ย If you know which paper-line this is, drop me a line, because I cut off the strip and can’t find it-SORRY.
Not my usual color combo-and I appreciate that. I like stepping into unfamilar territory (unless it involves scrapping-EW!). Keeps us challenged and moving forward. Its important to EVOLVE.
Be a work in progress. Never complete, never perfect. Always changing.
That is my personal aspiration. Always want to reach for the sky. There is no limit, no end.ย If you have nothing left to accomplish, then you have nothing left to live for.
Does that sound too like- Chinese Proberb-ish? LOL! Oh well. I don’t care, its how I feel.
Either way-that is my thought for the day ๐
So what are you reaching for? Do you know what you want in life?
Its so important to have a focus. Have goals. Make a difference. In any way.
Be it saving for a vacation, improving your relationships, maybe mending a bad habit. Helping someone else. Sending cards more often (GUILTY HERE). Getting organzied, going for that promotion, whatever.
Anyway-I hope to accomplish so much over this next year, it will make my own head spin if I think about it! You have NO IDEA ๐
I have some exciting things coming with this new year, and I am pushing forward-full speed ahead.
I am going to give my 200% to accomplish what I really want. I believe I CAN do whatever I set too. I have a great support system.
I am turning 30 in May, and I want it to be the start of the best time of my life! My 20’s have been great, but I am determined my 30’s will be the BEST!!!
I am so grateful for all I have-truly!
Well thanks for reading.
What are you aiming for? Have you even thought about what YOU want? Id love to hear it.
OR if you have accomplished something you set out to do-lets hear it. Give yourself a well deserved SHOUT OUT! You should! I want to hear it ๐
Ill check in again tomorrow.

Hey Lauren!!! I’ve missed you and your creations!!! Hope all is going well with you! I’m on dialup at the hotel here but will be home on Thursday afternoon and will catch up on all your posts and sketches!
Your card is wonderful…love those felt flowers!!
Take care!
What a cool card, Lauren! You’re right, it isn’t your normal style, but wow, you really nailed this!
Very insightful post! btw, you’re right – the 30’s ROCK! ๐
Love this Lauren…the color palette is awesome!
Yup, another winner. Your card is gorgeous. You have a gift of pulling together everything (what seems to be) so effortlessly.
Being 30 and/or in your 30’s is wonderful. You’re going to shine even brighter and I’m so proud of you (sorry if I sound more like a mom than friend). Seriously, it’s been such a joy to watch you grow as an artist but more as ‘yourself’. I can’t quite say what I mean – hopefully you ‘know’ what I’m trying to say.
Anyways, just a big hug to you. Shine on, my friend!
Hugs,
Renee
Hey Lauren, cute card!…as usual. The thirties will be great and the best is yet to come. Dream BIG! I’ve been dreaming of having my own stamp line for at least 20 years, but life takes its unexpected twists and turns and some dreams take longer than expected to fulfill. Now that I’ve been able to start a line of stamps, I have more dreams to conquer…like being able to retire and stamp ALL day, EVERY day. lol Well, you know about my little stamp business, and my dream is that one day it will help supplement my retirement so that I actually CAN retire. Being a single mom and putting my boys through Christian school and then college doesn’t leave any $$ left for me, but it’s all been worth it. They’ve turned out to be really smart, well-educated, nice young men with big dreams too. I did have a retirement fund that I contributed to monthly, but ended up using it for attorney fees during my divorce ten years ago and then to supplement our living expenses/tuition. Well, after some dreams are shattered you just have to rely on your faith in God and know that He has plans for you, pull yourself up by your bootstraps and get on with life and new dreams. I have a few more years until retirement, but there is no time like the present to plan for it and dream about being able to pursue my hobbies…like stamping and helping others!
Bigs Hugs to You! Forge ahead!
I love this card too, Lauren. The colors are just perfect. Thanks so much for all that you do.
Lovely. Those felt flowers reall WORK.
Love this Lauren. I bought some felt flowers and haven’t used any of them yet. What’s up with that! They look so adorable.

Lauren, when I look back at when I was 30, I think you’re way ahead of the game! You will accomplish all you want to accomplish because you are you!

Lauren ~ This card is just lovely! Your 30’s should get you to the stars…I have a goal of “practice makes perfect.” That’s what my Dad used to tell me…so when I am not at work, I plan on practicing my coloring techniques and one day I will get where I want to be. Thanks for your inspiration, it has meant whole bunches ๐
Hi Lauren!
I recently stumbled upon your blog and WOW! You are so super talented! I have been admiring your work on-line for several evenings now! I am a stay at home mom, who about once a month works a shift at the hospital ( I am a nurse) to keep up my skills! I live in the Cincinnati area. I am the mother of three boys. Will is almost 7 and Max and Luke (twins) will be 2 in May! I am also a Stampin’ Up demonstrator and my goal for this year is to “step up” my business! I need to do more in home workshops to broaden my customer base. I have been doing monthly classes in my home with the same 20 people for the past couple of years. I am 33 years old, and turning 30 was GREAT! Some women are so depressed about getting older, but it is certainly better than the alternative! Keep those birthdays comin’!
It sounds like you are a woman on a mission with great plans for your future! I can’t wait to see what wonderful things you make this year!
I am so thankful that I found your blog!
Warmest wishes,
Emily
don’t “party” too much in your thirties. Save some for the 40’s….they are really fun!
Better than when I was in my 20’s….
I like your drive and perky attitude!โฅ
I’m 38… (today!) and I am nowhere near where I would like to be. There were a few bumps in the road and well, life happened!!… But that’s the nice thing with me, there’s always room for improvement! ๐
Since I started stamping I’ve had that dream to one day design my own stamps. It won’t happen anytime soon, but it’s nice to think about it every now and then and have a dream to follow… ๐
Great color combinations and I love the felt flowers too. I’m so glad my thirties are out of the way…not a time I wish to relive. I’m sure your goals will be reached in no time at all…you have such great design sense. Thanks so much for the inspiration.
