$16 to mail a card, a Blogger’s Challenge-and a tag!

Jan 13, 2008 Author: mytime | Filed under: Cards

so-sweet-mytime-gkd.jpg  So sweet!

Now I HAD to share this shocking story with everyone, since I’m still recovering from the possibility.

This card uses Gina K’s new stamp set for a cause-How Sweet it is. I love this floral image.

Notice my lovely clear button embellishment-courtesy of Foo-Fa-La. Well THAT button could have cost me $16, to mail this card to my friend Alli Miles.

Now you are probably wondering HOW a button could add enough to a card to make it cost $16 to mail.

Well, Alli lives in Canada.

I was sending her a little string of Target $1 spot ribbon-inside the card-very FLAT.

When I took this to the PO they weighed it, and made sure it would fit through the slot. I dont know, its this paper rectangle, that if your letter is too thick, it costs extra to mail, or if it exceed’s 1 oz, the price hikes up.

Well I passes on the “weight”-JUST BARELY!

Then she went to “cram” it into the rectangle tester slot-NOPE! Too thick.

Here is the KICKER! Now when anything is over these requirements, you have to ship PRIORITY to Canada, starting at $16!

She said I’m sorry- it has to go Priority for $16.

I said WHAT! For a freakin card?

Yes, Ma’am.

I said-Give me that for a minute-I ripped it open and CAREFULLY removed the button. YEAH! You’d never know it was there. I then asked for tape to re-seal the envelope-THEN it passed!

Is that NOT an insane policy?

The moral of the story is-if you mail something to Canada WATCH OUT! AND limit your friends in Canada! LOL! ————Just kidding. But I do have a bunch of fellow Canadian stamper friends.

I also just sent my friend Dawn ( also from Canada) some $1 spot Target Yummies (should arrive soon), and didn’t notice that it cost almost $18 to ship it. OMG! That is more than the stuff inside cost.

Anyway-onto a FLAT card.

mytime-bird-blogger-challenge.jpg

This is a good ole fashioned 0.42 cents to mail kind of card 😀

This weeks blogger’s challenge was to use the layout on 37 of the NEW! SU! Catalog.

So this is what I came up with.

Its going postal on Monday for a good friend. It’s pretty flat so, it should mail easy (wink).

I kept it pretty clean and simple. Its really a great layout.

I got these birds at out LSS. Not sure “who” makes them, as I am too lazy to go look right now :C

I think they are so pretty though. I love the sketchiness of them. Whimsical and elegant. I colored with my Copic markers (of course), then added some sparkle with my Atyou clear glitter pen. Its a subtle bling, but pretty all the same.

I used rub-on’s that my secret friend sent me. It was a really great pkg of stuff. I love rub-on’s.

The paper is from the Target $1 spot 😀 As is the paper in the card above it. Love that place!

Now for some tagging.

My PSF Dawn M tagged me yesterday-

I am suppose to tell you 7 -unusual things about me.

1) I HATE sports, ALL sports, and despite being a cheerleader in High School, I know NOTHING about them, nor do I care. The only sports I like are the one’s my children are in 😀

2) I LOVE “cheap” sterling silver jewelry. LOVE IT! You know, like the $16 sterling silver bracelets or $9 silver charms. It does HAVE to be real silver though. No expensive gems for me 😀 The only expensive things I wear are my wedding rings, diamond earring’s Jason bought me for a wedding gift (which I never take off-only to clean them) and a Sapphire ring, which was the first piece if jewelry he ever bought me, and its Alexa’s birthstone so I love Sapphire’s. Another thing-I often forget I have lots of cute pieces so I never/rarely wear them! LOL!

3) I LOVE waffles. Homemade waffles. Everytime we go out to breakfast (mainly pre-2 more kids, and vacation), I would ALWAYS miss the waffle time cut off. I would be so upset!  Jason bought me a Krupps waffle maker last year for Christmas (the ONLY acceptable kitchen appliance as a gift) so HE can make me waffles. He makes them for me every Sunday! Which leads to another WEIRD factoid-I cannot cook breakfast! I can bake, and cook awesome meals (when  I want) but cannot make a decent edible breakfast. Unless, you consider scrambled eggs. Who can screw that up?

4) My hair was blond and straight as a board till I hit 12 or 13. It then, got natural curly, and has been that way ever since! Curly hair runs in my family, on both my mother, and father’s side -everyone has it-except for my mom. She is the ONLY one who wanted it, but didn’t get it. She puts hot rollers in her hair EVERY DAY! When I was a kid she would make me sleep with “rags” (cut t-shirts, tied into your hair to make it curly/wavy-like back in the old days) in my hair or sponge curlers. So MY hair would also be curly. I HATED it!!!! When it turned curly she was ECSTATIC!  In high-school, I would STRAIGHTEN it, everyday-I wanted straight hair! LOL! Until I was about 19, I did that. Then I accepted the fact that my hair was curly, and people pay big $$$ for hair like that. Plus when I became a nurse, it was easier/faster to just let it be. Can I tell you how much she LOVES the fact that Amber has my curly hair? She is always like-You should twist it to enhance the curl. While I admit-she looks adorable, I am NOT putting her through that torture I went through as a girl! Alexa’s hair-when she had it (or long I should say) was straight as a board! I LOVED it. It was so gorgeous, soft and silky.

5) We have caller I.D. When some annoying telemarketer calls, I let the kids answer the phone and chat it up till the people hang up. After they call and this happens no more than 4 times, they stop calling! Its pretty funny to watch.

6) I do my make-up EVERYDAY. No matter what. Even if I’m not going anywhere. My mother (again) taught me that. She said you NEVER know WHO is going to show up, or if there will be an emergency, and you have to leave the house. I HATE the days I get the kids on the bus before showering. You need to always look “made”. There have been MANY times I was so grateful for that advice. I will NOT leaver my house without make-up. Sorta like the “always wear clean underwear in-case you get in an accident thing”. NOTE: I don’t wear a ton of make-up, and its NOT caked on my face!

7) I have TONS of cards (which I donate alot of) and never send a pre-made for no reason one  to anyone. I have to make it special for them everytime. I will often be late, or end up NOT sending one at all! How awful is that? I don’t know WHY I do this. I have attempted to change that about me, but can’t.

Well now that you know all that, and definitely could have lived without it, I tag YOU! If you want to play, place it in the comments section!

Otherwise, say whatever else you  wouold like (if anything).

Thanks for reading/commenting. I’ll see ya back here tomorrow!

I think today I may work on some fellow blogger’s sketches! That is something I never get to do. We shall see.

OK Sorry, I’m SO late getting this Saturday Sketch post done!

I have been busy PLAYING, with my daughter’s new TOY. I also bought one to send out to my PSF Staci-for her “daughter’s”  Becca and Rachel 😀 She may not give it to them either! LOL!

LADIES TOYS AREN’T JUST FOR KIDS ANYMORE!

This is a toy that is STAMPER APPROVED! A toy that I never should have given them, and saved for ME!

I did confiscate some of it though 😀 Does that make me a bad and selfish mommy? Maybe. Will I get more use from it then they will-Um YEAH!!! LOL!

Do you to try this-YES! YES! You do.

Trust me-you will be thanking me, when you see what WICKED AWESOME thing I have to share with all of you today!

I am using my own wording and experience to type up this post! No professional Spotz person here, so keep that in mind as I use my own ” valley girl, stamper mom, with a New England accent to review this product”

It is a product I found at Target called SPOTZ (be sure you click the link OK!). Now you Canadians, don’t fret. I did a search and theyare sold at Toys R Us, and Walmart! Although after this post, they may sell out.

This Spotz maker is so beyond COOL, for the paper crafter. Its a machine (you don’t need the actual machine though), that comes with printed vellum sheets (that gets cut into 1 inch circles), and get’s put into funky cool plastic rims (some have BLING!!!), where you can have them viewed through the clear plastic side, or just the pretty rim side.

Here is the photo of the machine/supplies. You can buy the Spotz accessories separately.

ptru1-3677915reg.jpg

Now you don’t need the machine (as stated above)-unless your kids are using it for play. I did buy the machine, and found the purpose of it is so the girls canSAFELY cut a 1 inch circle-then seal the clear plastic case on their Spotz tags.

YOU will just want the accessories pack.

 Click photo to enlarge

spotz-supplies.jpg 1 inch circle punch-then the Spotz super cool rims, with clear window insert.

You can use/keep the printed vellum cardstock sheets or toss them. Some are pretty cool.

So upon viewing these and playing-as I said I found no machine necessary, I found you just put in your image, them pop in the clear layer. Pops in pretty easy. I will say you can’t really pop the clear lid off once it’s popped in. At least not without possibly injuring yourself! LOL!

I also wanted to find what ELSE these cool rims can do!

So here I will share my results.

NOTE: the MACHINE says to only use the Spotz images that come with it. I believe it says that because their Spotz MAKER, is only strong enough to cut through the vellum, not card-stock, patterned paper, or photos and whatnot.

The first card-uses my own vellum cardstock, and is this weekend’s Saturday Sketch! I hope you get to try it out.

Here is the Sketch sketch-30.JPG  Click to enlarge. You know I LOVE circles!

close-up-butterfly-spotz.jpg click photo to enlarge. Close-up view of Spotz

I stamped, then colored this butterfly (by Autumn Leaves from my Elf). Popped it into the rim, so that it would show through the plastic side. You can view it on both sides, since it is vellum card-stock. Adhered with a glue dot.

I had to combine these sets after seeing Lynda’s card, made with one of my sketches. I also had to get the paper, as you will see below!

butterfly-spotz-choice-mytime.jpg You made my day

This card is for my Elf, who sent me this butterfly image, used in the Spotz. Colored with my Glitter pens from Sam’s Club.

The Snag’Em flowers are by Imaginisce, and were purchased—HERE. They are colored with my Copic markers, and die cut with my rectangle nestabilities. My Atyou glitter pens add more sparkle 😀

Sentiment is Stem Sayings, by Stampin Up! Ribbon is from Michaels. I stitched the pink layer with my $4 Rite Aid sewing machine (loving that).

So that card showed you can make your won VELLUM images, like what comes with it-not it was time to try something else out!

mytime-acwp-sundae-sprinkles.jpg Sundae Sprinkles

Is this not the YUMMIEST of YUM? What a “sweet” card 😀

I decided I would try stamped CARDSTOCK-Papertrey Ink white (which is thick), and microbeads. Think SHAKER card. I also put in some glitter.

I will say the cardstock was an easy fit. So patterned paper would be a breeze. The beads won’t shake, but maybe if we used paper, or just glitter it would be perfect.

sundae-sprinkles-close-up-spotz.jpg Click for closer view

Now for the card-I used a favorite set of mine from ACWP-called Ice Cream Party! I stamped the “glass” sundae cup twice-once on my cardstock, then again on a window sheet (cut out, and layered over image) to look like glass.

Liquid applique for the -whipped topping, and liquid pearls for the cherry.

Ribbon is from Michaels, and the dotted embossed vellum bkgd was done using my Fiskars texture plate assortment #1.

I also loved this layout too. The side panel is the bkgd block from that stamp set.

Now, I wanted to try something else. Putting items in there.

Prima’s in the tags! They are enclosed, with the clear cover. A wicked cute look in person!

mytime-choice-bird-spotz-flowers.jpg A little note

Now how super cute is that? Told you I LOVE little birds too.

The Spotz, are fit into circles, which are popped out with my 1 1/4 circle punch.

This bird is from—HERE, as is the For Peep’s Sake paper. Just scored the edges of the bird layer with my Scor-Pal! Who says you NEED every size nestabilities?

The grass is by Doodlebug- paper Frills. Ribbon is American Crafts.

WHEW! Was that ever the post that NEVER ends. I hope you enjoyed it though, and it wasn’t all blah, blah, blah.

I am so hapy when I can share cool things with the world.

I hope you get yourself some Spotz!

I hope you have time to tell me what you think.

If you get to try the sketch, send us all a link so we can see what your take is OK!

I’m off to stamp the day away! (After Jason get’s back from food shopping)

So I hope YOU find some “mytime” today 😀

Till tomorrow.

PS I do have my blogger’s challenge to share, but an too tired now-so maybe tomorrow!

Get well note

Jan 11, 2008 Author: mytime | Filed under: Uncategorized

mytime-a-note-of-get-well.jpg A get well note.

Oh so much on this creation to share! So I won’t “babble” to much OK!

My poor friend Dawn has been so sick for a while now.

Weird fever’s on and off and stuff like that. They aren’t sure WHAT is going on.

Anyway-that calls for a get well note! Its a true MIRACLE that I am actually getting this off in a timely manner. She is just the sweetest thing, so I want her to know I’m thinking of her.

I am including the COOLEST tin of tea I made with an upcomingMFT release! I cannot share it, because it’s getting published 😀 NEXT DECEMBER! LOL! Yes you read it right, almost one year from now. I have been making CHRISTMAS stuff-AGAIN for publications-CRAZY huh?

Ok the card-

When I think “note” I think “bird”.

This is yet another MUST have thing for me-these style of bird images. I just LOVE them. Elegant birds. Can’t get enough. Whimsical Birds-doesn’t matter-Love them.

This one above is by Inkadinkadoo. I got mine ——->HERE. To my knowledge Lindsay will be getting in more of these new images soon 😀 She is awesome to buy from too.

Did you see my SUPAH awesome embossed flowers?

After you pick yourself up off the floor, and catch your breath, REALLY look at the beauty of them.

THAT my friends, is a flower’s Spellbinder’s Nestabilities die! Can you scream GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe Christine from All That Scraps will be getting some in. I know she is getting the hearts in soon. I got mine at my LSS. Couldn’t leave them there.

The scalloped circle , that the birds are stamped on, is also a Nestabilities die. They add such elegance.

I use versamagic ink on most my solid creations. I LOVE the coverage and matte finish it has. I also love that they are SO close to SU! colors. They cover like a craft ink, but dry instantly. I own just about every color. Since they are dew drops they hardly take up any space at all.

Now that paper is the Target $1 spot! I scored there BIG TIME the last few weeks.

The ribbon was found at Michael’s.

Now the “get well” tab, is by Making Memories. Its a tag curling thingy that secures to your ribbon???

All I know is they looked cool, and I was NOT paying $25 for something to close it onto my ribbon! I used my wire cutters to chop off the curling part.

Originally it was on my ribbon (closed using Pliers), but it was unbalanced looking so I moved it.

The scallop row of stitching at the bottom is anOnare template, I love using.

WHEW! Are you still with me?

Was that the most boring thing you read ALL week?

I didn’t realize there was SO much on this crazy card, till I began rambling along.

Well tomorrow is our Blogger’s Challenge. We are all doing a SU! Catalog layout case! So that should be cool to see everyone’s interpretation of it.

Till tomorrow.

OMG! I got this super amazing package in the mail yesterday from my secret friend!

Look at all the amazing stuff I was RAK’d! can you believe someone loves me THAT much?

So to re-cap what you are looking at-

The card was done with my favorite image-a Butterfly-with beautiful paper.

She made me a altered Starbucks travel coffee mug-to match my stamp room!!! Using the Hot Holiday Drinks, and included some nice bottle of happy juice-to add to my mix 😀

She made me a frame for my room!!! It matches my stamp room colors.

2 boxes of Tastefully Simple YUMMIES, that I have NEVER tried 😀 Including a few twizzlers.

A GORGEOUS purple shell type of silver butterfly necklace-really pretty!!!

2 neat stamps! 1 is a butterfly and the other is a butterfly bkgd.

Some mirrored coasters.

Purple Sprites! Can you believe I had NONE in purple. Along with some brads, and eyelets.

Paper and a winter stack by DCWV. Really great assortment.

Some cool embellishments-like scrabble blocks, assorted ribbons, rub-ons, metal charms and stickers!

Then she even added some stuff for Daisy!!! Some puppy cookies-which she is LOVING.

mytime-daisy-love.jpg A purple squeeky, rope chew toy!

As you can see-she LOVES it!!!! In case you didn’t know-Daisy has her own toy basket. She takes stuff out of it as she pleases, and even puts it back in there when she is done!

Now that is my kinda dog 😀 She has been such a great addition to our family. I love her to pieces.

Neaploitan Delight

Jan 10, 2008 Author: mytime | Filed under: Cards

mytime-neopolitan-treat-gkd.jpgNeapolitan Delight

Can you say YUM!! I know-its missing vanilla and chocolate ice cream, but that was my thought when creating this card. Its so 1950’s Diner appeal isn’t it?

Just agree with me-Like I say to Jason, just nod your head. 😀

I stamped and cut the bowl, so its on dimensionals. The syrup (YUM) and Cherry have a Sakura clear glaze pen over  them. Look so cute in-person with that small detail.

This card was made using Gina K’s NEW! Stamp for a Cause-How Sweet it is!

$7 from the sale of EVERY set goes to benefit the American Diabetes Association and the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.

I personally love the wide spread appeal these set’s have, while at the same time raising money for important causes. THANKS GINA!!! YOU ROCK!

After punching our my Giga Scallop circle, I found this was “missing” something. I then remembered my Celebration Frames set by Lizzie Anne, and thought it was PERFECT! Just that lil something.

I love scallops and circles. So I had to continue them throughout the card. Added some paper piercing and it was complete.

Hope you like it!

I am anxiously awaiting delivery of my Lizzie Anne sets (they got lost in the mail :C), and my New! Gina K! I got that punny birthday set, and the hippie set by Melanie. LOVE them. I also got some other YUMMIES to play with today, as I was enabled by my friend Lynda. DONT VISIT HER! Its bad on the wallet.

Because of her I recently ordered some Inkadinkadoo stamps/paper from Lindsay (who is the BESTEST/fastest ebayer-ever!!! She rocks!) and I shopped at Mother’s and Daughter’s and got the CUTEST stamps/paper.

OK I gotta run-its my 2 hour block to play with the kids-then its “mytime” 😀

Vera Bradley has been replaced!

Jan 10, 2008 Author: mytime | Filed under: My family stuff

Well you would NOT believe what I bought!

Everyone talks about this new online shopping place called ETSY. The purpose of it is for people/crafter’s (like us), to have a place to buy and sell HANDMADE stuff. Its pretty cool.

OMG! I could spend ALL day just browsing, and drooling over stuff. You can add items to your favorites or even seller’s.

PLUS I thinking its cool to be able to support crafter’s like ourselves.

Anyway-I LOVE Amy Butler paper. Its put out by K & Co.

Well, to my surprise she (Amy Butler) makes FABRIC line people!! HELLO! Gorgeous fabric! Just like my favorite pieces of cardstock! Its like 2 worlds colliding with LOVELY patterns! LOL!

So upon browsing Etsy, I began my search looking at handbag’s. A girl can NEVER have too many right?

I am normally into getting the newest Vera Bradley stuff. So I said WHY NOT try out some new HANDMADE version right?

So, after browsing the handbag’s section, I found this one particular seller at bagladiesinpa’s shop (her name is Lisa). I was SO drawn to her stuff. Fresh, clean yet funky and fun. I were a bag I would be one of hers.

I use to sew, and can SO appreciate handmade bags and stuff, cause I could NEVER do anything like that, nor would I want to.

After looking at her collections,  I saw a style bag she made that I LOVED! But not in a FABRIC that I had to have.  I had seen other bag’s with a Amy Butler fabric I WANTED it in. So I PM’d her, and asked her if she could make me her “Cleo style” bag, using the “Lace-work” fabric by Amy Butler. Basically customize a bag for me-LOL!

She got back to me, and said she would! She also made some “accessories” that I had to have too! Smart woman.

Her photos and descriptions were great and helpful. Her communication ROCKED, as did her overall customer service.

She is a MYTIME approved seller :D. I am VERY picky so that is a HUGE compliment.

Here is what I got!

NOTE: This photo was copy/pasted from her site. I figure since I am giving her a good review she won’t mind!

My new bag/accessories Bag, check book cover, zip bag, and key toggle

When it was done she contacted me to let me know it was listed if I still wanted it! (UM YEAH!!!! I asked for it)

After she shipped it was on my door 3 days later!

It came beautifully wrapped-so professional. Her communication ROCKED!

When I saw the bag and items, it was even BETTER in person! Very well made.

What a great experience I had. I am now buying my bag’s handmade from her, here on out.

FYI I am not related to this person, or anything. I just HAD to share my experience with all of you, cause I know only YOU could appreciate my babble about a bag-especially since its created from the same style of paper I’m addicted too!

I’ll be back later with some “stamping related” stuff to share.

Totally Different-

Jan 9, 2008 Author: mytime | Filed under: Cards, Uncategorized

Rain, rain go away. Come again another day.

Feels like Spring here in New Hamsphire. The rain adds to that feeling. I think it’s somewhere around 60’s today.

I am still in Spring mode here. Ready for flowers to bloom, and cheery colors.

Done with viruses  and pneumonia, and the kids being stuck inside. (NOTE: Alexa and Amber are doing very good! Thanks) Too bad I have a ways to go till winter has past. Maybe THAT is why my kids are killing eachother these days.

Noah use to be my headache. He is now “the good child”. Amber and Alexa cannot even be in the same room, without an all out brawl!

I tried to bring out some fun, by letting the kids play with Moon Sand. OMG! That stuff is AWFUL!

DO NOT BUY IT! DO NOT OPEN IT! IT WILL SELF DESTRUCT!

My play room looked like a mini beach!

Yes, I put down garbage bags even-before the play began. Hoping to capture the sticky sand, but NO! Sticky sand or not-SAND IS SAND, and it made a mess.

Let me tell you-Moon Sand will NOT make another appearance here in my house till it is warm enough to play OUTSIDE!!

Thanks MOM! That was a GREAT idea. I’m sure you giggled all the way home from the store when you were thinking of the FUN I would have cleaning it up.

When we were kids that stuff would not have gotten BOUGHT, let alone played with. Oh the joys of being a grandmother I imagine.

OK back to my card! LOL! Don’t know how I got so off topic. Maybe the clumps I keep finding in wierd areas of the house………………. but anyway…………

I LOVE using images in a way they aren’t meant for OR expected to be used like. I was in a BRIGHT mode when I made this card.

Here is my first example

look-at-all-the-pretty-flowers-mytime-pt.jpg

For this card I used Papertrey Ink Limitless Labels, Green Thumb, and Beautiful Blooms.

The blooms are die cut with my Cuttlebug Flowers #1 folder.

I LOVE how Nichole makes sets that interchange with each-other, effortlessly.

The colors were inspired by my ribbon.

The label became a band.I love all the scalloped edges this has, as well as its dimension and POP! You can’t see it here-but this is very dimensional. The flowers a really popped up too.

I then took the idea and went more subtle with it

mytime-papertrey-collection.jpg Spring for you

Is this not so different? For me anyway.

On this card I used-Limitless Labels, and Text Boxed.

I just went with a shabby , scrappy, sorta naturey-I dont know how to describe it kinda look. 😀

Notice more sewing! How fun that is lately. Im getting my use for the $4 sewing machine! (PS-MY AREA- They sold out a while ago! I went back to check on those and the cupcake stands-GONE! SORRY!)

I LOVE River Rock and Soft Sky. They are just so gorgeous together.

I just loved both of these. As different as they are, I think it shows ANY stamp set can be used for ANY style. Just put your own lil twist on it, and don’t be intimidated!

I say that now, but I have that Crafty Secrets- Kitchen set-never inked-that petrifies me to even touch it! LOL! So not LAUREN. I get a headache looking at it. The weird thing is I DO like it? So what is up with that?

But Papertrey…………………..OMG! It screams LAUREN BUY ME! USE ME! LOVE ME!

I haven’t gotten much time to play with my new stuff, but hope too soon.

Hope you are having a great day!

Don’t forget its MFT’s New Release! Today.

Till tomorrow.

Lucky in Love

Jan 8, 2008 Author: mytime | Filed under: Cards

I love Valentines day, and Valentines cards.  I love LOVE 😀 Such a happy Hallmark holiday, but I’m down for another day to celebrate something fun.

They are just so fun to make.

This was no exception.

It was so easy-and so cute. I may give it to one of my kids with their V-Day goodies.

mytime-lucky-hearts-ats.jpg

Lucky in Love-Love Ya Much by C.C. Designs

I got this bling heart sticker at the Target $1 spot. I thought Lucky would be so cute laying on it.

I kept it pretty simple-no need to dress it up anymore-that BLING is enough.

The ribbon is by SEI I believe. Added another element of color-to make the rest just POP right out at ya.

OK I gotta run-lots to ink and so little time.

I REALLY want to get some stuff done with my Gina K stuff too.

Oh and did I forget I have 2 samples with Papertrey to share as well 😀

Be back tomorrow.

Farm Yard Fun

Jan 8, 2008 Author: mytime | Filed under: Cards

So who likes animals? I do! I do!

I have come to realize it IS impossible to have too many of one image theme. For instance like my coffee set-I thought I had enough of the “same” theme for imagea. Oh! No! my friend! I NEED more. And flowers…………..NEVER enough! Some times you want elegant, other timessimple, 2 step, coloring, swirly, bold, whimsical……..see……………………. Never too many!

Same with all images IMO!

Kim’s new set Punny Farm is so cute. It is being released tomorrow. You can’t have enough animals can you?

Big , small,  cute, real………………………you get the idea.

I love all the different animals/sentiments. At first I was a little intimidated by it, but once I got inking I couldn’t stop! I think this set is pretty adorable without being cheesy. They are realistic yet cute looking farm animals. Now that is so me.

Here is my first-

Herd it

mytime-herd-its-your-birthday.jpg

This also uses the bkgd by CHF Dotted Diamond. I used my markers to color the “flowers”. Purple is my favorite-so I used different shades of it for this card. I don’t know WHY I thought purple and cows-but I love the “spring meadow” feel this has! Her head is stamped and cut on dimensionals. So she peeks right out at ya!

 Just Chicken In

mytime-mft-just-chicken-up.jpg

This card was made for my friends mom. She had been feeling “icky” so I thought this would be cute to get. Something different than the “normal” get well card.  I chose “hen” colors! LOL! I kept it relatively simple. These chicks are so cool.

lastly-my favorite- Wool you be mine?

mytime-wooly-wishes-mft.jpg Enough said.

How CUTE is this? I just love it.

OK sorry for the short post. I have a TON to do, and wanted to share these with you.

Thanks to all for the comments and relating to my kid-aster’s (My kids+Disaster= kid-aster). Its been CRAZY here today as well. I am happy you can all relate.

Remember that commercial “Calgon take me away…………..”

Oh I wish. Just for a little while.

Anything wrong with this picture?

Jan 7, 2008 Author: mytime | Filed under: My family stuff

OK, if you have more than one child, you MAY be able to appreciate this.

Normally this stuff does not seem funny to me until it is LONG over.

People will always ask ” Did you take a picture?”

Normally I give a look like “Are YOU insane? NO I didn’t take a picture”. But this was rather amusing.

I NEEDED to get some stamp stuff done. I needed a whopping 45 minutes of “my time”, or I was going to go INSANE!

My kids were fighting like well……………let’s say a pack of wild animals. Sometimes, when I have really had it with the bickering, and the million time outs, I will retreat to my stamp “cave”. Its better for ALL of us to take a breather.

I can hear everything they are doing-which is good in a safety sense, but not a sanity sense sometimes! LOL!

Alexa and Amber have been at eachother throats lately. Alexa isn’t feeling great, and is on edge, and Amber is continuously provoking her.

I am in my stamp room and hear the bickering.

Alexa yelling “Take a break. Get in there. You need a time out. Get in there.”

I’m thinking oh great-here we go. More fighting.

Amber is crying “Let me out!” as well as other things I cant make out. Time to intervene

She is screeching her lungs out, and daisy starts barking-THAT is unusual. She is not a barker.

So I come flying upstairs, to interviene, only to see this

Alexa LOCKED Amber in the dog crate!

Daisy is sitting in front of it barking, and Alexa is happily watching TV.

I grabbed my camera, to which Amber’s tears were quickly turned off, and was then all happy about it.

NOW that is a good time out spot!

Just kidding………………………………………..but you have to admit its pretty funny. I was unsure if I should make Alexa go in there for her time out for shoving her sister into a dog crate!

Lucky for her she isn’t feeling so hot.

Now these are they days Im not so sure I will miss when they are all grown.
